Drove a Merc CLK (2000) back from Manchester, hated the seats quite uncomfortable and had no probs with the Recaros, admit they dont hold very well but they were good to sit in for 200-250 miles without a stretch.

if you had the alignment done on a higher ride height, and then lower it wouldn't it push the settings out again?

Why not get two of the latest recaros and get them trimmed to match interior

i dont see the point fitting massive intercoolers designed to run massive amounts of boost, when they'd be wasted on turbos/superchargers that cant handle the amount of boost eg large forge intercooler on the 306TD!. Why not use something thats fits nicely that doesnt look out of place and can handle amount of boost required.

Then why change to a a smaller one in the corrado, i would have thought it could also be to do with the cost than efficiency unless it was to do with the fact that the I/C would cause less drag being situated behind the bumper. The corrado wipers and headlights are a perfect example if the manufacturers had got it right than are so many corrado owners doing these mods? Henny im not saying that there is no flow of air going through the grille, im saying that it may not be as great as the flow of air being directed down.

Correct me if im wrong but the golf intercooler is larger in surface area than the standard corrado one and sits infront of the rad. Ok it has more surface area than the standard one and should in theory produce lower air temprature. Right looking at diagrams and aerodynamics it appears that when a car is travelling then the air is pushed over the bonnet and under the bumper on a corrado the part just below the bumper plate. So would it not be as efficient to have a smaller intercooler in the path of the optimum airflow as opposed to a larger one which is not in the optimum path which is also affected by the ambient heat in the engine bay and the heat from the rad? How could this be measured?

I know someone who may be interested, how much would you want for it as a whole damaged car?

depends what model 106 it is, if its the 1.0 to 1.4 TU petrol engine, shouldn't be very difficult the diesels and 1.6 engines have less space to work around. Basically driveshafts need to come out (drain gearbox first) Trolley jack under gearbox Undo linkages/clutch cable etc Undo starter motor Undo nuts that hold g/box onto engine 13 IIRC Undo gearbox from mounting which is located under battery/usually. change the tyre width from 215 to 205 or your going to be scraping the tyre like f**k, unless you plan some arch work

My car looks tiny! Them things are hhuuuge, deceptive looks, look taller from a distance but is really low.

Kicker components are/were very good but they do two types reference and impulse IIRC. i've been running impulse 5 inch for over 5 years and they still sound crisp.

I quite liked the look of the flushed bumper when i first saw it in pvw (capnahabs car), but it reminds me of the smooth tailgate mod on the mk2 where it lost its appeal later on.

Why dont you wait till festival/gti international get the dents done by the paintless dent removal guys and get the rear quarter done after.
