a more comprehensive list of the difference between a B5 S4 and B5 RS4 re-worked heads, head gasket, turbos, airbox, MAF, Injectors, ECU, cams (inlet), fuel pump, fuel rail, intercooler, engine mounts, intake manifold, oil cooler and intake hoses RS4 is actualy one of the ones on my list as a replacement to the S3

hi the s4 is a nice car. to set the record straight as their is quite alot of bad info in this thread so far.... they are 2.7 v6 Bi-Turbo and put out 254bhp for early models and 265bhp for later models as standard They are perminante 4wd unlike the s3 that uses haldex. the bi turbo means there is a small turbo for low revs and a bigger one for higher revs. AMD can remap it to about 300-320 bhp and it costs about £900 They are very thirsty. dont expect much more than 20-23mpg average from a tank... less if your driving enthusiasticly. as all audi's ther every well built. If you get one with the RS package (i think thats what its called) you get the same recaro seats as i had in my s3 plus some other cool bits. The RS4 was the same engine but different mapping and it might even have used the larger k04 turbos. that put out 380bhp as standard and was only in estate form and even today will set you back the best part of £20k

Crash Bang Wallop... What an accident
jedi-knight83 replied to jedi-knight83's topic in General Car Chat
they will all belong to the insurance company though.. i dont want the hassle and dont have the facilities here at home to break it and sell the parts. I'd rather just get a lump sum and be done with it all -

few more pics from today... had to go out to salvage yard to collect my ipod, sunglasses and take my bluetooth handsfree kit out. wasnt allowed to take pics of the other cars but the mazda i hit was a mess... took most of the front off and the transit was more of a mess than i was expecting! i think that the transit may have been the bigger impact of the two! rear axle is snapped clean in two! -

Been back to the scene today and took this pic As i came over the hill (would have been coming towards us in that pic on that pic) there was a black bmw estate just pulling into the 'turn right' box and turned across me into the road where you see the blue A class. I had my foot on the brake and maybe slowed a little but when he cleared the road i let off the brake. THEN... the mazda pulled out of that side road where the A class is and pulled across my path aiming to turn right going up the hill. Not enough room though and i hit him at what i believe to be about 60mph (dont remember having much time to brake). In the top highlighted box is the initial impact just next to that arrow that indicates the right turn. you can see my tyre marks in a C shape arch (just, you have to look close!) The mazda span 180 to face the way it had come. I found engine parts inc the battery of the mazda in the field today! So my path continues now going sideways towards where i stood to take this picture. The blue transit was heading up the hill and swerved to the left when i was coming towards him. I hit the transit just to the left of the 2 arrows and that sent me into a spin in the other direction. You can see my tyre marks going the other way now across the face of those arrows. I then ended up facing back up the hill -
can i ask what exact model it is and how much etc? depending on insurace money i would like either an e46 m3, 911, or move to south africa

yeah... god knows where i would be tonight if that was in the vr6... there built very well but im sure a 10 year old car would have shown its ages and lack of safety features in an impact of that size! -

well.... depending on the insurance payout.... either a E46 M3 or an emigration to south africa. -
Crash Bang Wallop... What an accident
jedi-knight83 replied to jedi-knight83's topic in General Car Chat
well i had 2 quick response medics, 2 fire engines, 3 police cars and a proper ambulance, 3 rescue vehicles to remove the cars. All the vehicles are written off. Atleast 2 or 3 of the people involved will probably claim for whiplash etc. im not gonna bother with anything from my car. anythng worth money is wrecked. -

thanks guys. yes... maybe all slow down just a little... i mean this one i was actually being good and driving well and within the law.... but i have been know to drive fast... not sure if i will be again for a while though. Yes jim i dont need to sell it now... but i need to worry about getting enough money from the insurance company! and the thing that REALLY annoys me.... my brand new helmet that was in the boot after go karting.......flew out the boot and smashed down on the road during all the impact!!! so i have to get another one of those now! -
Crash Bang Wallop... What an accident
jedi-knight83 replied to jedi-knight83's topic in General Car Chat
well it wont include the front seats because the airbags in those went off. also the glass probably damaged the rear seats. Im not really sure how it all works. i doubt i'll get any bits from the car back. and even if i did... i dont think anything of value is salvageable. wheels bent, seats trashed, engine broken etc etc. -

i'll wait till i have chosen my next car before amending that ;) just very very lucky really. still in shock and cant believe it all. -
Well... The beast is dead. And i walked away with a cut on my face and a headache and some bruising. Im coming down the hill and as i get to the junction and a black BMW pulls accross in front of me... no problem there is enough room. i just brake gently to give him space... as he clears the road i let off the brake... but then suddenly the silver mazda 626 pulls out leaving me ZERO time.... i cant even remember if i braked again or not... SMACK into his front end spinning him 180. All my airbags go off and i start to spin anti clockwise heading for a field but i look out my drivers window and see a transit van coming the other way skidding to avoid me... BANG i hit that spinning me the other way (but stoping my path of certain barrel rolling in the field) and leave me facing the way i came. Horn and all kinds or warning beeps going off in my car, im a bit dazed. open the door. walk to the verge. lay down. I reckon the impact speed was 50-60mph and it was so lucky i didnt hit the mazda side on... would have been much worse for me and him. MAzda driver was apologetic.. says he didnt see me (he was looking the the black bmw turning into his road and waiting for him to clear his path so he could turn out). Transit driver hurt his knee. Amazing everyone was ok!!! i was on my way home from go karting (we came second by the way ;) ) and my helmet in the boot ended up in the field (will have to claim for that aswell)...... maybe i should have been wearing it though  Be carefull kids!! I was lucky.... VERY LUCKY!

quick one - will a v5 engine fit strait into a corrado?
jedi-knight83 replied to mistrall's topic in Engine Bay
well in theory... you can fit the rs4 2.7 bi-turbo v6 into an s3... and you can fit an s3 engine into a corrado.... see my twisted logic?! not sure if it would actually work though.... and aparently the s3 they did it to handled like a barge once it was in! -

biggerbigben has the 20vt engine in his corrado. It can be done but to be honest i would stick with a 6pot engine -
