Horrar!!! i just heard from the guy i was supposed to be buying a VR6 from.. so looks like sale is back on... Anyways... i read somewhere that, just like the wiper arms and blade, the standard headlights leave alot to be desired... is this the case and what has been done by members or what could be done to solve this on the cheap??? No corrado yet but so far i have new wipers / a new bumper (in the pipeline) and now after new lights.... would be a shame if i never got the C wouldnt it
-
how much would you ask for yours then??? You sure its thie same as the VR6 bumper? looks / mounting / etc?
-
I dont really mind what colour it is as i can get it resprayed cheap. Im not sure if the car im getting is metailc black or normal. Its a 96 VR6 if that will help tell the colour. how much is a second hand rear bumper worth anyhow?

when i was in the states last year i stayed with a guy who has a VR6 with a chip. we took it out to the long yanky roads at about 3 am and video'd from inside and out at 160mph!!!!! still felt smooth even at that speen though -
we know what you drive and what you do!but how old are you??
jedi-knight83 replied to vr6storm's topic in General Car Chat
17 yrs old = Peugeot 305 saloon (oh yes i hear you all cry) 18 yrs old = 1990 Honda CRX (such a fast car for an 18 yr old) 21 in April = Lining up the sale for my Corrado VR6 (cant believe i can insure it and be so young at the same time) -
I have seen VR6's with different interiors but what year should i look for to get the more up-to-date look. Thanks
-
I know the current owner very well and i have helped him decided what wheels suspension etc etc. It has 17" Masitaly 5 spoke wheels. Koni coil over adjustable suspension and upgraded brakes and pads all round. so i wont need to spend money on mods..... which is nice. He is in the process of having a new sunroof motor fitted.... is this what you were refering to... it also has a brand new starter motor and alternator belt.

there that bad you wont tell me now?? Whats the mpg you getting? what costs am i looking at do you think? i dont want to buy one and then have to get rid of it cause i cant afford it. I'd appreciate some advice
-
is it bad then?? what should i know about the VR6 before spending my well earned on it? The CRX is deceptively quick.... i have left more modern "performance" cars standing before, and they dont look best pleased when i do!! Id love a corrado though!!
-
OK!!! how happy am i :D :D I rung Adrian Flux to double check something and they had new figures for me!!! im 20 with 3 years ncb im insuring a 1996 VR6 £909 + 300 excess TPFT £1369 Full Comp Im getting a VR6 !!! waahhooooo :D :D :D
-
im 20. To be fair they were the only place to quote me so far!!!
-
Ha, its funny. Since saying im selling my car on the CRX_UK forumm there all telling me how crap corrados are and how the SiR CRX can p*** all over the VR6... Even though i have a CRX im completely open minded and i say there both great, but at different jobs. CRX is great little sporty car and is cheap to insure (only group 12) and is red hot fast !!! 136bhp in a car that weighs under a tonne!! 0-60 in 7.2 and 130mph top end. But its a go kart and tiring on longer journeys VR6 is big and fast and comfortable but still nible round the twisties (wasnt it said to be the best front wheel drive chasis along with the prelude (back in its day obv))

Im buying a 1996 VR6 corrado and i got quoted £2500 TPFT from CIS, £1100 TPFT from Adrian Flux!! Im trying some others now but ANYTHING is possible!! :D

I currently have a CRX mk2. Its not a GAY car.. but it is a bit of a go-cart so dont expect a comfortable ride. Im actually just buying a corrado VR6. PM me if you want to ask anything about the CRX
