ah ok... i thought Gibbers one was the aquamist kit. so its not just an add on after i get it chipped? i should get it done at the same time as the remap then? any idea on the power gains i can expect with the aquamist?
-
excelent.... can i have more details on the kit so i can post it on the audi-sport forum. yeah the s3 all have twin IC.. one either side of the car. did you DIY fit yours kev??? i can see another favor being asked here!! lol has the price gone up or is it still 6 bottles of bud!! :D oh and im currently sorting a remap with AMD.. should be done in the next month
-
hi there.... just stumbled across this... would this kit also fit the 1.8T engine? if so can you provide more details and would it be ok to add a few audis to your group buy?
-
bugger me.... what a pain in the arse sorry to say but the chances of finding the car are slim.... just hope the insurance covers everything for you. i remember seeing your car at the rolling road day... hope this doesnt put you off building a another monster
-

im sure everyone looked into 17" speedlines before??? even went to the extent of emailing speedline and asking and they said that for the vr6 fitment the only ones they did were racing ones with a soft compound???

Whats this forums opinion on the S2000?
jedi-knight83 replied to Rawhide's topic in General Car Chat
i drove an s2000 and it felt very understeery!! that engine gets a bit boring aswell and the dash is fun for 5 mins. apart from that its a great looking car.... oh one other thing!.... you not big as in tall or wide?? cause if you are you will get very tired of never having enough room!!! smallest bloody cabin in the world!! -
go to priory body shop just off newmarket rd. they dont have laser alignment but laser is a bit over the top to be honest. what they do have is a proper geo machine! costs about £70 to get set up
-
yeah the 1.8T has the single intercooler and the KK03 turbo and can easily be chipped to 220bhp but as kev says it will only just match the VR6 The S3 engine (and the ibiza cupra and the TT225) have twin intercoolers and the KK04 turbo and can be chipped up to 265bhp. Thats when you start to notice a difference to get the vRS up to that power you would need the KK04 turbo and probably a FMIC aswell. still a nice car though

whats the most you have paid on your insurance premium?
jedi-knight83 replied to surfer.vr6's topic in General Car Chat
most i paid was £1200 full comp on my vr6 when i was 20. my s3 is actually my cheapest insurance.. £700 full comp :) -
After the C.... what would you have?
jedi-knight83 replied to biggerbigneil's topic in General Car Chat
yeah i'll try and find the details for you... basically you can set the bias how you like all the way to 70/30 rear i think and it keeps it there perminantly.... i'll look into it for you. I know what you mean about you want it there or not but from what i heav read the S3 and R32 versions of Haldex are alot better than the TT version which you can actually feel shifting the power around -

Whitedog, that would be the V6 version -

kevhaywire, why are you so set against Haldex? you could always fit an aftermarket Haldex controler to give you a constant 50/50 split. the s4 does sound good though but the MPG of that beast rules it out for me at the mo -

dinkus, hell yeah...you can fit all kinds or useful / useless stuff in there... actually got my friend in there the other week to smuggle him into centreparcs..... lol jimsG60, sounds sensible...actually sounds like me... just had my corrado all sorted and didnt really want to wait around for anything else to go wrong lol -
Gran Turismo 4 - what do you think of it?
jedi-knight83 replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
hey i havent got this game yet.... is it really as good as everyone says??? if so i'll pick it up on my way home tonight -
trouble is...when the people with a genuinely nice, well looked after corrado see the heaps of shite selling at good money... naturally they put the prices up on their cars.... i wouldnt be suprised if mint corrados were back up around the £10k mark in 2 or 3 years time.

jedi-knight83 replied to biggerbigneil's topic in General Car Chat
Exactly Kev... i was gonna write that but couldnt work out how to explain it in so few words.. its clever audi offering all those extras for base spec cars. you still thinking of getting an S3 next then kev? -
thing is there is often a big difference in the quality and finish of the cars for sale. mine sold for £6500 but was near perfect and had a schrick. Others you see for sale that say 'great condition' but that are priced at only £3k are actually dogs when you get close (not all but most of them) i know as i saw quite a few dogs in my search for a nice one! Just price it at what you think it is worth and if your not in a rush to sell....hold out for that price... there is ALWAYS someone who will pay what your asking.

the 180 normally has a single exhaust pipe although some customers paid to upgrade to the twin exit. 225 have the twin exit as standard... as far as i know thats the only difference. as for cars.. well i went from corrado to S3... handles better than the 'stodgy' TT next im looking at either a Boxter S or a Porsche 993 C4S Id steer clear of the TVR unless its the 350R.. they all tend to fall apart -
So, the vehicle handover didn't quite go to plan...
jedi-knight83 replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
sorry to hear this Nelson I agree with Kev.... DONT BUY A NEW CAR!! complete waste of money... if you like wasting money that much give some to me... i'll happily take it from you If though...you are dead set on this new car get one without cruise.... and hopefully that will cut the waiting time. also push for more discount and or more extras as they have messed you about now. Full tank of fuel free services that kind of thing. hope it works out for you -
