  1. im not changing because i want more power... im changing because i want a newer car...i think. its either stick with the corrado as it is at present and save my money... or get an s3... not really interested in modding the corrado anymore thanks though
  2. i may try a buy the s3 and take the corrado off the road for a few months, just so i can always change my mind if i need too thinking about it though... i love my crx and didnt want to sell that... but now i dont really regret it... cars have to be sold at some point
  3. i guess i will have to drive one and see... im in no rush to change so i'll just see what comes along.. turned down the chance to buy a black one with 269bhp cause i didnt like the stereo  good price though... but i'll wait till i find the right one.. and if that means waiting till next year. so be it.
  4. come on.. an s3 is hardly a vectra.. it is pretty sporty... i'll have to report back when i finaly drive one
  5. Ford, just go through adrian flux...the schrick added no extra to my insurance! £1100 before schrick...£1100 after schrick and exhaust and suspension etc.. but there is no way i would supercharge the corrado... not worth putting more money into the car IMO. its only 2wd remember.. s3 is 4wd so can handle bigger power...i.e the 260 bhp i have planned  how it is now is fine. dr_mat, its not that it isnt my thing...i like the car alot... but like the idea of an S3 even more
  6. maybe scott would like to buy mine then  get back into the corrado brigade id love to keep both but thats unrealistic.
  7. I mean i know u have to sell sometime dont you but my car is running great on 93k now. should i keep it now i have it all as i want? or will i risk not being able to sell it in the future when it ticks over the 100k mark? really want the audi though but i know also that 14k is alot for a car and i know if i buy one now they are bound to drop in price early next year. advice
  8. ok will.. what about systems that i can pay for...which is the best check to do on a second hand car?
  9. Is there any kind of free online HPI checking thing ....or anywhere i can put in a reg number and it tells me car details?? thanks
  10. try this link first http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17091 my save you a few quid... if not i have a spare abs pump i can sell you.
  11. im not really complaining about them...just getting a new car  its not just that...i just fancie a new car anyway and now i see the insurance is actually quite a bit cheaper.....
  12. yeah the current top of the range is the 3.2 v6 (same as r32) with dsg gear box..its as fast as the old s3..but not actually badged as an s3...there are rumours that the 2005 hot version will skip the s3 badge and go straight to the RS3 badge??? not sure if its true though. guess i should wait till the new one comes out then :( although xmas is a good time to buy cars as they are always a bit cheaper then and if i see the right one i doubt i will hold back
  13. hmm cheers roddy...didnt think about the new one... maybe i'll hold off until that comes out then i may get a bargin? any idea when its actually released? s3 is pretty rare for a modern car...i havent seen many the last few days.
  14. WOW    direct line... £685 full comp!!! bloody hell thats good! beats adrian flux hands down!! wow im definately getting one now!
  15. i prefer the new lights to be honest but hate the crome mirrors...i dont think they are standard though how old are you jim?
  16. huh??? how did you get £800 for the s3 my corrado is £1100 full comp and the s3 would be 1150 full comp
  17. another example before after i quite like the later lights to be honest aparently the dash was very slightly different aswell... digital clock instead of analogue for instance... nothing major though
  18. yeah the only difference is the headlights being one unit instead of the early ones having separate indicators..and the tail lights . new ones have clear section..old ones are all red
  19. hmm, what about dark green??? http://www.croftmotors.co.uk/vehicle-de ... 3&ID=28127
  20. Phil, well the ones i had lined up to look at were all at dealers (as i wouldnt be insured to drive one if it was a private sale) but they had all been sold!!! seems they are a very desirable car and as soon as they come into dealers they are instantly sold... but i had a sit in and a play about and so far all is still good...just need to drive one now. there gonna call me back today or tomorrow as he knows one is coming in.
  21. whats the point. it will still rattle and handle the same. pack of crisps with £900 hidden inside??
  22. nope, my mind is set. i am looking at 3 tomorrow  i move fast... when i decided to buy my corrado i did it all in about 3 days so look out.. maybe monday i'll have an S3???
