  2. oh ok so the torque was quite late! check out the details from the recent RR day. http://www.jonathanwillits.supanet.com/rrday.htm my torque with the schrick is 3900rpm and yours wil probably be the same now
  3. how on earth do you get 217bhp from a standard engine???!!!! not fair :( mine doesnt even make that with the schrick installed!! Out of interest... what rpm does YOUR standard engine make its max torque? cheers
  4. ebay???? seriously though... looking good!! i have my 288mm brakes all ready for fitting now.. would like 312 but want to stay with my 15" wheels.
  5. wow what a beast. where did you get your hands on a VSR? looking good!
  6. PM sent here is a link to the autocar articles CLICK HERE
  7. i have the video file... its 11mb though so i dont know if it would email accross?? i have other jpg scanned images of auto car tests aswell if you want those
  8. either the enzo or the vanquish S
  9. im just not used to having to pay the same price as other ppl  i ALWAYS normally find stuff cheaper
  10. well i phoned awesome and they said the 29872 was the part for both corrado and golf and that the price on the online shop (was £120) was wrong and should be £131 they did say i could still have them at £120 but plus VAT and shipping its still £150 so i may aswell keep looking...not that im expecting to find any but you never know..
  11. :? :? :? confussed now.... check this page from awesome GTI http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/vw%20golfm ... nsion.html lists the 29872 'corrado only' part for the golf??? good price though http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/catalog/pr ... cts_id=320 edit*...actually its with VAT ..once you add that and shipping its back up to £150
  12. well full leather interiors in good condition normally sell on ebay for £800-£1000 so £250 is cheap. probably cost you about £400 to fully retrim both front seats but it still makes it a good price if the rest is in good nic
  13. hmm i knew the corrado and the golf shared H&R spring but i didnt know there was one that was just for the corrado??? wonder if there is any difference?
  14. I had toyos on my honda............* ah a quite moment to remember the honda*......ok... Yeah it was a lighter car but the wet and dry grip was fine i thought..never had any problems I have Michelin Pilot exalto things on my vr6 now ....wet weather....what wet weather!!
  15. vr6storm, yes all that has been done... its just the springs and maybe the suspension bushes... but thats a different story all together  Timo., no worries...if they feel fine now then great... as kev pointed out.. the kit is so cheap that the springs effectively are only worth £40 (after taking of the cost of buying the 4 koni dampers separately) or so...so its no big loss if you go for H&R's later down the line
  16. Timo., maybe i went a bit over the top with the 'POO' remark When i first fitted them they flet fine...infact very similar to the H&R's but over time i think they have got harder! I noticed this the other day when riding in kevs car with his 16" wheels..and his still felt much smoother! There just not for me anymore
  17. except when any car that is designed for them is wearing them to be honest... i just dont wide rear wheels suit the corrado on elittle bit Jamie Renshaw had the right idea and got 2 sets of front wheels!!! thats the way to do it! sorry Pau1, no offence
  18. of course...its easy now i have had the suspension apart a couple of times already  why do you ask?
  19. i think the rear koni springs must be the same length as the H&R's because i already have the spring plate set 2 notches lower than yours..if i had my spring plate at the same level as yours im sure the back would be as high as yours...if that makes sense
  20. plus big wheels at the back just look plain stupid
  21. plus £9 for delivery.... i think kev was right i wont find them for much under £150 ish
  22. i remember some went on ebay a while back for about £80....should have bought those  i'll probably put the SSK ones on ebay starting at £1 and just see what they fetch...they do lower 40 mm after all and someone may like the harder feel?
  23. i didnt realise you needed adapters to run those wheels :?
  24. Hi, ok i hold my hands up... the springs that come with the Koni SSK kit are POO!!! they were ok to start but now they have truely got on my tits So im swapping to H&R..i know they are about £150 though... So if you have found any bargins let me know.... website links or phone numbers would be usefull! thanks
