there is one on ebay at the moment. there about £30 for the stealer
  3. Just been looking at the AmD site. the costs have all gone up, now £350 plus VAT for a re-chip! was £250 plus VAT when i last checked...thats quite some price hike! bar stewards..
  4. i used some stuff that cant be bought on the shelf...it was from my mechanic friend, but redex would do a similar thing, and the tappet cleaner was Wynns hydrolic tappet / lifter fluid.
  5. i see i was beaten to it.... if you get your cables in place you can always hook mine up in your car to test it. you've been pretty helpfull to me so i can return the favour.
  6. pass..... im not into the technical stuff...just what it sounds like. i use the phono cables from the back of my sony head unit and i can control the bass and treble from the head unit and that makes the sub sound different...then you have the controls on the actual sub, gain, crossover and bass boost i think
  7. well first of all it will be more acurate to work out the mpg from a full tank? how do you know it was only 8.1 gallons did you fill up , drive around, and fill up again to work out how much was used? that sounds very low mpg for the type of driving. may be worth using some fuel injection cleaner and some of the tapet cleaner stuff i mentioned (do G60's have hydrolic tapets???)
  8. i could buy another one to go next to the current one!!! 8)
  9. i managed 30 mpg on a 140 round trip to london yesterday...doing about 80-90 ish most of the way in my VR6. MPG has gone up since i used Wynns hydrolic tapet cleaner about 3 weeks ago. I also check the MPG with my own calculations when i got the car and it seemed pretty acurate...i should do it again some time and see if its the same still
  10. does the corrado have the needed wiring already there? isnt it just a case of plugging them in? are they still heated like the standard leathers?
  11. that'll be the one.....i was bang on with the 'isle' part though.
  12. ouch.... i've got 97p saved at the moment....almost there. are they comfortable?
  13. already got beige leather all round 8) just fancied changing the front ones to recaros or getting them re-trimed as they have a couple of marks i dont like. it is a storm......didnt you know
  14. you'll have to get used to the speed limits over here wont you??? isle of white is un restriced ....or am i barking up the wrong tree? welcome to the mainland anyhow!
  15. where did you find a set of electric recaros in black and how much did they set you back? i would love a set in beige to go into my car. only need the fronts though...either that or splash out to re-trim my current front seat..there already leather but i bit worn. looks cool though mate!!
  16. mine does this aswell, its the bafflers (spelling, sorry) in one of the silencers. hit them to work out which one and replace the borken one.. if its a normal steel exhaust you could take it to be repaired. the cut it open and weld everything back together. if its stainless steel they cant....although if its S/S it should be under warranty anyways. HTH
  17. http://caraudiosecurity.com/catalog/product_info.php+products_id+1538 wow, kev if your looking for one, this looks really cheap. Mine was £250 about 2 years ago when i bought it.
  18. are those recaro front seats? they look different to mine! looks nice though! why do you put each pic in a new post? you can attach them all in one post you know!
  19. so even by taking out my dials and putting them back in would reset the mileage...what a bloody stupid idea that was from VW. The corrado is a great car, but im sure the work experience boy designed some of it!!!
  20. is the mileage actually stored somewhere in the instrument cluster?? i wanted to buy a spare set to modify but if i cant change the mileage i wont bother
  21. Kev, i will (fingers crossed) have mine installed next weekend so if you want to have a listen give me a bell. the bass wasnever powerfull enough to blow ear drums at 10 paces....but inside the car it sounds great..and its small which is the best thing!! im not runnings any 6x9's so the basslink provides all my bass.
  22. yeah, the merc kept trying all day... the fence won though  Old brakes were worse than i was expecting!!! new ones feel great now though 8)
  23. heres the pics of my brakes past and present.. the old ones were pretty shot!!! there is also a pic of the 2 bolts on the back of the carrier (as it was asked how to get these off) its easy, just 2 bolts and it comes off, there the same size as the wheel bolts which is handy 17mm i think
  24. i did think about it myself...but i didnt think the sub was heavy enought to stay inplace. i imagined it bumping up and down and side to side
  25. the early ones were black, the newer ones are clear...thats the only difference. i was gonna sell mine cause i couldnt be bothered with making a boot floor... now its as easy as velcrow though...i'll get it in asap...all my wires are there , should be a 20 min job
