jedi-knight's camber / castor / toe.

fair enough... but what im saying is the castor angle should be 3.25 give or take 0.30. Before both were under but were BOTH under and within 0.17 or each other.. After one is a little nearer the ideal value but the other is way over and now the difference is 2.38 which is way over maximum permissible difference between the two... thats my only grip, that they are now so different, if they were both over it wouldnt be so bad, or both under...as long as they were with 0.30 of each other (which they were)....but now 2.38..........just seems quite a bit -

well the castor angle was alot closer before they adjusted everything...so im just guessing it can be put back?? it did feel alot better on the way home but to be honest i havent really been out in it since.. so you reckon i should just leave the castor angle to avoid messing it all up again?? -
Just got my car back from the body shop, had the car done of the 4 wheel alignment. Here are the results Front Before: Caster 2.18 / 2.35 Camber 5.34 / 3.43 Toe 9.03 / 9.01 Front After: Caster 2.52 / 5.30 Camber 1.47 / 1.11 Toe 0.05 / 0.05 Obviously the Toe and Camber were miles out! According to the guy, he couldn’t adjust the Castor angle.... but its actually worse after adjusting than it was before!!! I will be calling them again tomorrow to find out if I can get it set properly this time. Pleased with the look of it now though :)

unless you have remote engine start....then just turn your heated seats on the when you last get out of the car, turn all the heaters up and simply lean out the window in the morning and bobs your uncle...warm seats when you enter the car... ....just dont leave it in gear

no, you could probably just do the lower one. my upper one wasnt to worn the rears already look lower than they did last night so i will see what there like at the weekend and iff needed drop another notch....if i get the geometry done early this week ....and then change the backs again at the weekend... that wont matter will it??? i mean it wont affect any camber or anything silly like that. the fronts look so crap right now! the top of the wheel is sitting in much further than i expected and much further than i have seen on other lowered vr6's. but doing the camber will only bring the bottom in wont it??? not the top out! ta

just fitted all the suspension. happy and sad now. the camber on the front looks absolute crap. (can it be adjusted???) happy cause the rear is a little lower and i still have a couple of notches to go so it can go lower still (if it doesnt settle by istelf) just annoyed about that front camber (you cant really see in the pics and its too dark now to take another) oh and it probably doesnt look much lower yet...needs to settle

do a search for 'suspension' 'springs' 'shocks' any of those and there is loads that has already been talked about... but very briefly... you could probably get away just springs but no lower than 40mm. even then the shocks will probably not last as long as they should on standard springs so uprated shocks may be needed in the future. H&R (30mm) Koni (40mm) or Eibach (40mm i think) would do the trick

hi, as OSV says, leather was an option on all corrados, and standard on a storm. black, grey or beige were the only colours (unless you unearth a campaign then it was brick red and purple). The front and rear seats, front and rear door cards were leather and i think leather was always heated. some have leather recaros but they are quite rare, the recaros were electric though HTH

how did this C owner get these lights? see pic 31

Im probably gonna get shot down and told to read old threads... but.. somedays my vr6 is really noisey, sounds like a loose chain is flailing around inside the engine bay and it all feels horrid and loose others it feels fine, no excess noise (apart from a faint chain noise mid revs but i guess thats normal for these noisey engines) and it feels nice a tight and a joy to drive. so what could cause the vast difference, if its worn chain tensioner then surely it would be noisey and crap all the time? ta very much
