audi tt wheels - offsets again... sorry!
jedi-knight83 replied to jedi-knight83's topic in General Car Chat
i dont supposed there is an idiots guide to offsets?? i still can work out in my head which particular part of the wheel the measurement is refering to???? they look pretty cool though dont they  -
seriously enough though.... £300 on a chip from AmD would be better as they give you more torque and actually give you a bit more MPG (according to those who have had it done)

i reckon the look great... i presume all the ofsets are ok for straight fitment? probably a few knocking round second hand aswell what with ALL those TT's out there -
i have driven the following and so can only comment on those 406 coupe V6 pretty quick and not bad round corners. looks great IMO but need bigger wheels. Interior is exactly the same as the standard 406 saloon though, bit on the grandad side of things. Prelude engine is great but not as refined as the vr6. you'll have to get the 2.2 vtec to keep up with the vr6 and that drinks fuel!! hard to find a good standard one aswell. most have been breathed on by boy racers FT0 i drove the 2.0 v6 mivec (which is live a vtec). it was quick but nothing special... again most are imports so its hard to get a good one. Finally the corrado vr6 yes the storm does ask alot of money for not much extra... but if you can find a good storm im sure it'll hold its money for you when you have it :D. good engine but needs a good push to get going. probably a chip in the ecu will help a little. very comfortable and great handling probably the best i have driven so far (which is why i own one)

saw this on the autotrader site. Says there 16". ta

i cant see any replacement ones for the side lights? on the Corrado they are the twist in ones. the led's in the front would look good.
-
so you just simply replace the existing bulb with one of these led's and its brighter? i did try taking it apart once and didnt really notice a bulb, is it easy to change? ta

ah here it is actually http://69.93.64.122/~corrado/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6344

CANT SEE ANYTHING? -
like this one. (see attached) i like the look to be honest but would like to see it front on or more from the front anyway. if i got one i would paint the surround green (obviously) and the mesh black and then set a VR6 badge in the mesh.. any pics or indeed comments welcome cheers

jedi-knight83 replied to jedi-knight83's topic in Archive
300 miles for £35 is loads better than i get! could there be a problem with my car? i have just had the injectors cleaned at the last service.. im reluctant to disconnect the battery so as to reset the ECU cause i dont know what the alarm will do (see my thread about TOAD Ai606, i dont have the code for it) -

70 litres!!!!! i thought it was only 60-65 i guess i could put a can of fuel in the boot and run it till it starts getting empty just to see how far it will actually go. what are your normal mpg and miles per tank?? does mine sound particularly bad?? oh bummer, just seem the caps but cant be bother to re type. sorry **Mod edit - De-capped it for you... Henny ** -

last fill up was 58 litres and that indicated as just above the red. -
that sounds like the dodgy storm on autotrader. is it advertised as a 2.8 storm?? for about £3700 ish...with bbs 17" alloys.... probably best to steer clear of that one

Got a 95 VR6 i reset the MFA 2 thing (the one that keeps going even if the car is off for more than 2 hrs.) when i fill up. the MPG shows about 26 since filling up and yet im only on about 270 miles and the tank is almost empty.?? i always fill up to the top with optimax. 26MPG for 15 gallons is about 390miles is it not? why am i getting only 270 to the tank? (prob be about 280 or 290 before i actually fill up) On this tank i have done a few longer trips and a bit of town driving. is there a fuel leak and how on earth do you find it if there is one?? ta -
When do people want to start this again? im actually really skint at the moment so im in no hurry. too many holidays
-
How much did that cost you Jedi-knight? think it was £380 ish delivered. got it from larkspeed.
-
there is a guy on eBay selling a VR6 VAG workshop manual. i emailed him asking what the reserve price was and he wants £60... ha, good luck
-
depends what type of car you want. i sold a mint condition 1990 Honda CRX for £2150 and they are a great run around / sporty / quick / enjoyable car.... but its a bit on the small side if you have a family... ...personally im gonna be looking at an R32 next ...but i dont suppose that helps you much. good luck.

Lower it. i bought a 95 VR6 and a few weeks after that i bought the koni 40mm spring / T/A shock set. ............although the suspension is still sitting in the garage waiting to be fitted :D...just havent had the time yet. most people now-a-days that buy a fast car like that would appreciate it being lowered IMO

I have a TOAD Ai606 on my VR6 which was fitted by one of the owners before me (2 before me i think)...anyway along the line somewhere the 4 digit code for the alarm hasnt been passed on so now im a bit stuck... what happens if i need to enter the can and my key fob battery is flat??? in my Honda (with a clifford) there was a hidden switch and using that and the ignition key i could override the alarm.... without this code though im surely stuffed?? also i want to reset the window / sunroof closure (as its currently only closing 2 inches at a time) but apparently i need the code for this aswell??? I went into Discount Auto Parts in Cambridge and they no longer do TOAD alarms...... now what??? anywhere else or is there another way im not thinking of?? they said it would be about £80 to take out the alarm and wire the car to bypass the immobiliser, send the alarm to TOAD to be reprogrammed with a new code and then re-fit the alarm....but they wont do it cause there not TOAD dealers anymore... they didnt know where in cambs was a TOAD dealer  ALSO ALSO.... (sorry).......cant actually find the alarm control unit in the car anywhere  ....maybe its behind the glove box but bu99er me if i can get it out!!!
