  1. prety damn rare, think idd be to tempted to build it up though http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REVELL-VW-CORRADO-RALLYE-1-24-SCALE-/330715457792?pt=UK_ToysGames_ModelKits_ModelKits_JN&hash=item4d002d6900 LOL think this ebay sellers abit of a dreamer! he wants £170 for a revell corrado! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-VR6-Revell-BNIB-1-18-/261002411169?pt=UK_ToysGames_DiecastVehicles_DiecastVehicles_JN&hash=item3cc4f4bca1
  2. a few weeks ago when i got my car back in the shed the fans came on as normal but they were realy realy slow! i was like eh? so i lifted the bonnet to find my battery had shifted over forceing the wireing against the fan so it was rubbing!! i swear i did the battery clamp up ! clearly i didnt! ooops :) could of been worse luckily the wires havent rubbed through.
  3. i did say "then skrew it back down" ,, always thought the cooling system is allways under pressure regardless of wether its cold or not, unless you got a leak,
  4. could it be something as simple as a loose battery terminal?
  5. no need to drain down to replace that sender, just make sure the coolant is cold!! undo the the expansion tank cap to release pressure then skrew it back down, then quickly swap them over, just make sure when you remove the sender you remove the O ring aswell, you will loose coolant but not much and when i say not much it realy is not much, deffinatley not worth draining down for.
  6. thanks kempy much appreciated, well had a lovely time playing bodyshop and finished my passenger door today, looks mint! realy realy happy with it, cleaned up the green algee line on the window which is normaly covered by the seal also greased up the window rollers so now my window is silky smooth :) heres a shot of the linkage, basicly the nut thats welded on pivots on the threads when you open or close it, i tryed useing wire bent to shape but it flexed to much and lost the travel required to open the latch, this was the original which worked for a few pulls until it bedded in and couldnt open the latch anymore, think i'll get 2 weeks insurance out and drive it before i start on the drivers side,
  7. i like ! what wheels are those? very similar to borbet A's
  8. LC9Z! Took far to long to get smooth! smoked rears for a friend, he'll be more then happy i recon :) and yes i am wearing marrigolds ;)
  9. wait what? realy? thought all corrado vr manual box's were the same??
  10. same here, although if i had to make a guess, i would say its for something soft maybe plastic mudgaurds or something like that, the washer looks like its designed to dig into what ever its going into, so it should leave that imprint from what ever it came out of.
  11. yea anything but the standard handles , my neighbour has an old pug estate which has very similar audi style handles very flat aswell , i was tempted to cut them out ;) the linkage was abit of a head ache but i sussed that out , i'll get a pic of that so others can see and possibly save them a few hours,
  12. thanks rams :) been sorting bits out for the conversion, had the looms sent to a guy thats the dogs bxxxx at wireing only to find out that he cant do anything with them until mid june!! as he has 15 other looms to do, so iv had to find another person to do it , cant be waiting that long!! got my ecu back from united motorsports. immo defeat, immsions stuff switched off , sai turned off = £100.00 :) in the mean time my passenger door needed re spraying as it had paint blisters from bad adhesion { not me ;) } Allways had a fancy for audi handles .. from an A6 come to the conclusion that the lock aint gona work unless your some sort of lock smith GOD! half of the lock barrel needs to go as it hits the window, so im gona get remote central locking, part of my mk2 linkage, the first linkage failed due to to much flex, ran out of primer! hopefully get some 2k locally tomo so i can get this finished this week
  13. welcome, imo its just a few badges and either blue or green in colour, so if you wanted a black corrado {like myself}it wouldnt be a storm, weather its worth it is entirely up to you, they are limited edition and there are people out there which will pay more for that but i personaly wouldnt,
  14. not toady but over the past 2 days,, audi door handle :) still need to smooth out and paint...
  15. havnet read all the posts on here but i use a variable speed grinder with buffer attachment pad {allows me to use 3m's green/blue pad's }, cost around £50.00 ,the key feature is varibale speed! thats the feature you need for buffing! and what shaun says above is spot on! theres realy no need need to splash out £400.00 on something that does exaclty the same thing which you will probably only use twice a year, i use it to cut, grind and just give it a quick clean with the airline before buffing paint very versatile tool which earnt its money months ago. this is the puppy! highly recomend it, lasted me ages! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/950W-POLISHING-BUFFER-CAR-VAN-BOAT-VALETING-POLISHER-/160602651779?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item2564a9fc83 just dont use the attachments it comes with , there do you more harm then good! use 3m products or other well known brand.
  16. sounds prety fair, there not very nice to remove
  17. dont know what the differance in quality is like but my windscreen from the local windscreen people cost me £80.00! its fit was good and its clarity is spot on, £250 seems prety nuts unless that includes fitting?
  18. yea its prety easy , you will need to start at the lever release in the car think i had to un bolt it, was like 2 or 3 bolts i think?, once you have removed the old inner wire you can thread the new one through the loop in the lever and then into the engine bay, and then through the bonnet release loops but you will need cable stops on the the loops for the outer cable otherwise when you pull the lever nothing will happen, i'll try and get a pic of how mine is , just make sure you got a good set of wire cutters handy and lube up the inner cable so it stays hassle free , this job was one of the first things i had to do on mine...
  19. your bonnet release is a realy easy fix, its up to you obviously if you want to source an original release cable but you could have this fixed for under £15.00 and will probably last longer then oem too , i used a tandem inner brake cable and a cable knarp {cable crimp} and outer brake cable , but one of these should do the job perfect :- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRIKE-ex-long-Clutch-Brake-cable-kit-TOP-QUALITY-NYLON-LINED-/260979322787?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3cc3946fa3
  20. looks nice! like those seats ! , your bonnet cable broke? cant help but notice the green string on the engine bay pic,
  21. heres the pics , i have more if you want to see them, there prety much spot on, got the handle mech to work so it will open/close, ^ seems before there was to much flex so it needed more pull to open the latch, this works fine now though, other issue is part of the lock barrel protrudes into the path of the window by like 6mm, luckily i have an old beat up door at my disposal :) i'll figure it out, might have to try a different lock latch?
  22. can you legaly go light tint all round? it doesnt look right if you just tint the rear quarters.
  23. yea i looked through a bunch of audi handles , a3 seems to curved and the corrado is flat, the one which took my fancy was the A6 , if you need any cut out this guy here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280726100148&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123 will do this door handle and key for £50.00 posted, i messaged a bunch of A6 breakers and got one and this guy replied sayn he has done this for people in the past and he can do it for £50.00 so that saves you looking around for it... i'll get some pics of my A6 cut out's tomo so you can have a closer butchers..
  24. SNAP! i got those from an A6 as the whole area's flat seems perfect for it, and i just won on ebay an ignition barrel and door barrel and key for £11.50 posted! , i'll let you know when i start fitting mine , also came across a corrado snycro build thread on vortex which was very detailed and almost made me want to start one :( i'll try n find it for ya. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?3187589-Corrado-newbie-and-another-AWD-corrado-build-)
