I can't believe how many reads this post has had and yielded nothing in sales, i have sold stuff from other sites as well as fleabay at the same prices. Do other Rado owners not clean their motors or do they all own a garage full of products. Admittedly one forum has locked my thread accusing me of being a dealer , which i certainly am not, it is more likely that one of their sponsors complained, some forums can be very 'clicque'. Perhaps it is due to my low posting count, i intend to start a thread on my Rado VR6 as i'm busy improving it ? Any opinions ( other than demanding that i lose money on the products ! ) would be welcomed. Cheers

New Corrado VR6 Storm Owner - How do you know a Storm is a Storm?
toledo replied to c0vert's topic in Newbies Hangout
HaHa Love it ! I might get one of those badges if it makes that much difference !! -
Water pump is replaced, found the guide to loosening the engine mounts and lifting engine up on one side to get to pump very useful. Replaced the radiator flange and thermostat, housing, crack pipeand filled her with G12 ++ . Replaced the v-belt tensionner after i stripped the threads for the pulley having replaced the bearings, the replacement was noisy so i swapped my pulley onto it ( carefully ) and it is quiet as a mouse. Ran her over to Bradford the other day in daytime traffic and she stayed at a steady 80 C almost all the time and hit just over 100 C a couple of times, Great ! Am in the process of cleaning up the drilled & grooved 288mm discs and pads with the calipers and carriers getting some bilt-hamber rust treatment before painting ( i also treated the fron crossmember while the front end was stripped down. Fitting of brakes and rear axle bushes along with suspension is the next little project. Then will need the front end repainting and i've got a couple of new front wings to do this as the existing ones are part filler , Nice !

I sprayed wd40 on the top and underneath of the bolts several times over a couple of days and had no real problem when it came to undoing them, they were smeared with copaslip before refitting to prevent them rusting to the metal sleaves in the flange. Good luck !

Any update on this fellas ?

3M stuff is professional quality and is really easy to use ok it is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for ! Mazerna is also well liked . Your choice of polishing pad is also important , see flexipads or 3M again.

I can't see that ? Mind you , i bought my Altea Freetrack here , exported it to France and now need to re-register it here so it can be innocent anyway. ( i saved about £12,000 doing this by the way ) It does look a good one though.

Have you had a look at Bilt Hamber , they are turning out some impressive products and their range seems to be expanding all the time. The Surfex HD is far and away the best degreaser / APC i have tried. By the way i am not connected to them in any way but have just recieved my first re-order from them along with some rust treatment products that are doing a great job on my 288mm front caliper re-furbs.

Yeah ! thanks for that. I am aware of the Halfords deal , and a good deal it is too, unfortunately when i purchased this stock i couldn't buy the volume that Halfords can so didn't get the deal they get. But that said i am now trying to minimise my losses and hope to recoup as much of my money as possible. Having invested months on the project and a certain amount of money on equipment and products i didn't take the decision not to launch the company lightly. I am not trying to trick anyone but as you say Halfords demand that you buy three items to get similar prices to the ones i have asked, if due to postage or any other factor there is not a financial benefit to the buyer then they would obviously buy elsewhere but i thank you for pointing this out to us all and in the process stamping all over my posting ! Think i'm gonna go take a chill pill !!!

http://www.gumtree.com/cgi-bin/list_postings.pl?search_terms=&search_location=HALIFAX&ubercat=9314 Due to my abandoned business idea i have a bit of unsold stock to sell at discount prices. Mainly Meguairs products on there at the moment but i have some Autoglym products to list as soon as i get time to put them on. Can post at buyers expense or come and collect from Halifax . I will take paypal gift payments or cash. Range of Flexipads polishing pads available too.

It's good to see everything being worked out amicably ! I recently bought a Denon amp on flea-bay, it was listed as excellent condition, when it arrived it looked like it had 12 rounds with Mike Tyson with dents & scratches and only worked on one channel, this is when i noticed the screw were missing from the casing so someone had tried to fix it and failed. The seller told me after viewing the pics i sent him that i shouldn't buy items on fleabay if i wanted brand new condition items in return ! Eventually Fleabay stated i could pay to send the amp back and recieve a refund on the item but not delivery or return postage meaning a £15 loss, no-one was interested when i rejected this and even my feedback left for the seller led to me getting a libel court action threat, i told him to 'bring it on' ! When you consider how many real liars there are on flea-bay that are just out to rip people off and the next to useless 'protection' offered by Ebay , it can make you not want to go near the site but for lots of parts and deals we don't have a lot of choice for these old cars. All credit to both parties concerned.

Having stripped the threads refitting the pulley to my v-belt tensioner i need a replacement . State of bearings are no issue as i can fit my pulley onto it ( without stripping it this time ! ) Cheers

On removing the wheel arch liners yesterday i discovered that previously some pleb has filled the lower corner of the wings, on the drivers side this has now cracked so i need a couple of late model wings please. Also if anyone has some late black doorcards i might change mine that have been removed with force probably by the same hamfisted prat that did the fillering ! Cheers

Breaking 1995 Corrado VR6 - 117k, Full Black Leather
toledo replied to Purple Tom's topic in Cars for Breaking
Hi Mate Do you have the drivers wing still ? If so what condition is it in, any chance of photos please ? How much collected / posted ? Cheers Sorry ! just read the last but one posting ! 'VR6Rado - both wings have gone I'm afraid!' Oh well it's a free bump i suppose. -
It's obselete mate , i had to get one from Liverpool TPS. If you have no luck locating one nationally then gruvenparts produce a metal one which is obviously lots more expensive but should last forever ! Also watch out when you unbolt it from the radiator as the bolts rust to the sleeves in the rad and when forced can break the plastic neck forcing you to replace the whole radiator !! ---------- Post added at 04:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:18 PM ---------- Sorry that should have said obsolete not obselete ?? Also i am referring to the flange rather than the seal.

Right time for update ! Rear axle bushes are DEAD Rear shocker has leaked Rear brakes are rusted over and running them hasn't cleaned them up suggesting the caliper is seized, got some passat calipers off my bro's passat but object to the cost of caliper repair kit ! Water pump has failed and is very noisy. Anyway i've ordered new flanges and thermostat to go with the new pump ,top flange and G12 ++ awaiting fitment. Got some drilled & grooved 288mm fr discs and pads with calipers 2nd hand. Have also researched my suspension and think i'm going with Eibach pro-street spring with OE Boge dampers and new bushes ( perhaps R32 ) to improve the handling and ride height slightly whilst not destroying the ride quality. She's already had Quantum Synta and a VW oil and fuel filter as well replacement indicators and refitted door cards as they had been badly refitted previously and tried to out-squeak the tailgate which just needed the rubber stops adjusted to silence it.

I got the lifting pack from Halfords for £44.99 on offer from £59.99 Contains 2 tonne jack, 2 axle stands, 2 chocks and a creeper board. Will post when i've had chance to use it, if TPS pull their fingure out and supply me the parts i ordered !
