Imgolfman replied to pettsy's topic in Cars for Breaking
Any chance of a couple of pics please either on here or to [email protected] Many thanks :-) -
Is a lambda sensor "1 fits all", ie a golf gti would work or do you need the correct one for the engine?

Looks lovely pal, seen it on eBay myself. Good luck and get some pics up when you get her :-)

2011 is coming to an end, 4 month old baby called Jack, house and a misses. Time to grow up i ask myself? Still got the bay camper, ideal for summer outings with the family. The beetle is going be my wedding car so shes going nowhere. But fast cars, lowered etc, nahh, no more. My modding days had come to an end......Well so id thought anyway. Phone rings just 5 or 6 weeks ago, it was Dave from work. "want another corrado?" he asks. "no" i reply. "are you sure? its a g60, prob get it for £500". Before i new it, id made the 5 minute drive to view it. First thing i thought is "poor old thing". Started chatting to the chap to find out what had happened. The story is abit strange but basically, the car used to stunning, bin a pvw, always at the shows. Full leather, rebuilt engine, jabba charger, split rims etc. In 2008, Driving home one night, bang. Engine has dropped a valve. The g60 got parked up. Rather than fix it, the chap descided to sell bits. The leather went, charger and ecu to. Other little bit to. £300 gets me the car, he said he was about to scrap it. Still got the bbs with centre caps, fk coilovers and still in pretty good shape. The plan was to fix her up over winter to be ready for april (ill be 25 then so cheaper insurance). Couple of weeks later, looking on ebay and a full Rallye engine (98000 miles), gearbox, charger (rebuilt last year), ecu and intercooler pop up, It was ending in an hour. I won it for £500 which when you think is a bargain. Plenty of tins later (carling), its in and running. Interior in, exhaust nearly done and going for mot this week coming. Really excited about it, over 4 years since i sold my last 1. Proud to say, ive saved another one from the scrap yard :-)

Hello there, im Wayne and im in love with vw's. Had 8 mk2 golfs, 1 corrado g60, 1 corrado 16v on carbs, 4 beetles, 1 mk3 vr6, 1 mk3 tdi and more random cars. Currantly own a '74 italian import bay window panel van (currantly being painted) , '67 beetle (nearly finished), '91 german import corrado g60 (very very nearly finished), 2000 Yamaha R1 and the daily '09 mk6 golf gt tdi. Just going start a thread on my g60 so have a look :-)

Cheers for the help. Fixed the problem now, it was a fuse. Fog light fuse! Silly german's ;-)

Love the wheels. Good work :-)

Fantastic example of a 15 year old car.

Hi all. Seem to have another problem with my '91 g60. The fuel, temp and rev gauge aren't working and the handbrake light is very dim. I don't think the oil light comes on when I switch the ignition on either. Don't no if it worked before I got the car (not used it yet) or since fitting my new engine. Is it common like a bad earth somewhere or are my clocks foo barred. Please help or I'm weighing the piece of poo in ;-)

I think I'm sorted now, thanks everyone :-)

I'll be honest, I don't really want to pay a small fortune for a gasket. Was hoping someone might have a part number for a motor factors or something like that :-)

Hello there. I was wondering who or where I can the gasket which goes between the cat and down pipe? It's triangular in shape and has 3 bolt holes and 2.5" hole in the middle. Can't seem to find 1 anywhere.
