Hey, i haven't been on much lately. Just thought i may be in a place to add comment. I to was the same, always wanted more power. And i ended up with a VRT, great. But, i sometimes think about putting it back to standard. Seems crazy, but the VR6 you can just jump in, let it warm up to 70degC and have fun. VRT needs to warm up to 96degC ideally, drinks fuel also, as you have to drive it hard or there is no point. So all those short journeys etc, you dont use it. So i have missed out on so much corrado driving cruising it hurts. If i went back i would have a daily VR6 all day long, cant beat being in a rado every day And you wont find a car like the corrado. I had lots of other cars, RX8 etc, nothing compares. So it will be another regretful owner selling

Well..... I still own it, all though its been off the road for a year :brickwall: I brought a mazda rx8 and been using that, but thats gone now, so the corrado is becoming a daily (weekly really) soon :D I have had trim wizard out, fitted a cat 1 full closure on it. Fitted the leather heated seats wiring and switch and had the leather seats repaired by trim wizard. Apart from that, nothing going on lol. It needs a bit of sorting out, mot on it etc, but i will have it on the road very soon. So might be kicking about the forum again I will have a look over the forum, lots of old faces and changes. Hi to all!

Corrados Running Porsche Wheels - Little Help Please
big ben replied to big ben's topic in General Car Chat
my mate has gone for 30mm spacers at the back, 35mm at the front. Tyres are toyo 195/40 all round, so not sure how thats going to look just yet but thats what he got! the wheels are refurbed as well, they do look nice... i will post a pic when they are on, he needs new bolts but hopefully we can get them sorted this weekend -
i used the guide kris done, was spot on
-
i havent looked at the market for a while, but i would say you would struggle to get 3k.. more like 2.5-2.7k
-
its not that hard, just be careful with the cables on the back of the heater controls! there is a guide on here somewhere, thats what i used and it was pretty easy really, just took me 2 days of faffing  but i did fit heated seats and loom at the same time
-
i will go with your judgements. But i cant stretch to the full carbon im afraid. As long as i can spray the fibreglass version with no worries so it looks standard im in... i will get the heated glass put in, have the spolier and mech on, but no window wiper hole... The only problem now is the number plate recess, impossible to get off without breaking
-
tell me about it! got my 1st month old kid, house, VRT... money is tight
-
you would of thought so i suppose, they are a good price as well i think, i just dont have enough funds for everything as it is, wiithout full carbon boots
-
i am bit wary of it all to be honest, i would like to see one ideally first to me sure its up to my OCD standard... which i know wont be obviously possible
-
put me down for a fibreglass boot please, cant afford carbon :( i take it that the boot will look standard and the spolier, window and plinth fits well... also, can i spray the fibreglass with no bad effects?
-
i will be spraying my boot/bonnet so not bothered about carbon fibre if the fibreglass one is strong? is fibreglass up to the job and can it be painted to the same colour of my car easily?

thanks for that mate! have you got any pics of your car with them on? 40mm front and 30mm sounds about right, could you get away with 35mm out back? what tyres did you have as well, is 195/40 the best? -

thanks mate! the stretch you have on them looks just like what i had, so be good if you could have a look! looking at yours, he could get away with another 10-15mm on the rear i would of thought, without too much of an issue? -
My mate is picking up some D90's this weekend (16x8 and 16x7), so just wondering about tyre sizes and spacers at the moment... I know quite a few people are running on Porsche wheels or have done in the past so after some advice if possible! I also know this has been done to death over the years but pictures are missing from the old threads etc so its hard to find out the info and see how the car sits... The look he wants is low as possible but still driveable! wheels nearly flush with the arches so it looks nice and wide all round... Tyres nicely stretched but not silly! I had a set a while back but cannot remember what tyres and adapters i was using, also they were on a VR which may be slightly different? think i had 195/40 tyres on the 7's and 8's but cant remember, the stretch seemed about right to me though, heres a pic; So after searching around would 30mm spacers on the front and 35mm spacers on the back be ok? Or could he get away with an extra 5mm or 10mm? Alos what tyre stretch would be best like above, take it different sizes are needed for the front and back as well? (if only my memory was half decent i wouldnt even need to ask ) cheers Ben
