im far too OCD for that kev  mine will never be a trailor queen but i do like it looking clean as possible for when it tears past people :D and was looking at yellow pads actually after mic said about it. i would bet they are better than the ones i have on at min, not a clue what they are though
-
i need new pads all round next month actually, not too keen on shed loads of brake dust though
-
dont think she would drive a diesel no matter how powerful if im honest... and i would love to get a mk7 gti kev (i like them in white) but they a bit too much, so a boring little 1.4 it might have to be
-
fiat 500 i like, but still expensive at the min and the polo does seem the best built, best interior and will hold its value most, but its a bit boring
-
that bad was it? was it the same interior as this?
-
thats awesome

(another what car thread sorry  ) got £4500 for my mrs new car. She wants something small (hatchback), elec windows, 1.2+ but cheap to insure etc, new as possible... so far we are looking at; -2007 polo 1.2/1.4 S -2007 fiest 1.2 Zetec -Audi A2 and today i have looked into a Fiat Panda 100hp (i know sounds crazy dont it), bit over budget but could be worth it... what do you think is best? im liking the Panda, bit different and pretty funky... or what else should we consider
-
im guessing it would cost you £200 to get them painted/coated. Couldnt you use that money and sell your wheels to buy some nice new ones :D you dont have to go smaller, just get some 17's if you wanted, be nice to put your own stamp on the car though
-
i would get some nice smaller wheels on it as said, will look a million times better and feel like your own straight away. I would personally keep the standard lights, and change to orange indicators on wings and in the bumper as well... but its all personal preference, depends if you want it standard looking or "scene" looking

big ben replied to Madjackal's topic in General Car Chat
cant beat mint red and yellow paint on rados -

cheers fellas! Marcus tried to paint it the same colour as the wheels but it obviously came out brown  good to get it finally done, wont be so embarrassed letting people see the bay now
-
cheers everyone, its a start anyway.. got to clean the bay and do all the little bits now so it looks factory fresh :D and the Rotas dont rub at all but then i havent got it that low tbh as i like to drive it pretty hard and not worry about it! even with a full car it doesnt rub at all and gets over speed humps

well, the beast is back and being used daily then... finally put the VR6 badge back on the front, finishes it off nicely.. picked it up off the phirm last saturday, where i have had the timing chains done, dump valve turned into a re-circ as it had a flat spot, but then it still didnt solve it completely, it made it better but not perfect. so they have put a 2.8 throttle body on and thats changed it into a new car!! it has a more linear curve for the map to read appartently.. to say im chuffed is an understatement, it drives amazing on the C2 now, everything is spot on so good times :) and not only that, i had the bay freshened up while they were there, think you will agree its a lot better now... before... after... thats it for now, plenty on the "wanted" list for later this year thats for sure...
-
its coming together nicely

even though a turbo costs a lot you cant get bored of the power/sound/look on peoples faces etc. you wont find any VRT owners regretting spending the dollar thats for sure, so for me its the best £ to £ mod for a corrado, goes as good as it looks :D

how about buying some surfex APC degreaser for the bay then, that will clean it up nicely 8) http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/surfex-hd ... rers_id=33
