Cheers guys, yes my aux pump runs when ign switched on, stage 2 fans come on just before 100c (on the dash this is not always accurate?) so I think i'm missing stage 1, i've bridged the terminals on the four pin sender and fans and aux pump do come on. ---------- Post added at 06:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:31 PM ---------- My gauge temp is normally just under 90 when driving, then just around 100 in traffic

Hi guys, I'm having a 'mare with my afterrun cooling system, spent £150 quid to get to the stage where i'm not sure whether i've fixed it :brickwall:..all details are in the last couple of posts in the definitive cooling guide area, which seems to be a bit of a ghost town lately! Any help would be massively appreciated, i just dont want throw any more money in the wring direction!

Hey Swompy, yeah I may have already seen you, I do see a fair few corrados round glos, which is why i have another! Any vw events around our area?

I see them now sorry, must have been my vintage computer! Looks very tidy mate, what suspension are you running? Mine's standard at mo, so may have to head on over to suspension section to get some recommendations

Ok, Now i've replaced the yellow (now black) temp sender in the thermostat housing, switched ignition on then off, still no aux pump. Took for a drive to get engine up to temp, got home, ignition off still no pump, so I did as i have been doing and left ignition on to let pump run for 10 mins. Then when I switched the ignition off to lock her up and start scratching my head again the bloody fans and aux pump came on! Can someone please tell me whether I have fixed it or I need to further bankrupt myself?

Then it's settled...sweet, cheers guys

Hey guys my front mount feels a little soggy on the vr, does anyone have any experience with a vibratechnics mount cus i'm told they're the best, I was thinking that if it was too harsh then it surely would transfer stress to other areas? Or should i go genuine for the same price possibly more?

Yeah definitely, when you uploaded them did you make them visible to everyone and not just the administrator?

Hey everyone! Just like to introduce myself quickly, I've now got my 2nd blackberry vr6, although i've had many other vw's. It's a lovely one with black leather (previous one had cream leather - still not sure which I prefer!). Didn't take me long to get back into the groove of rado ownership however, I've already carried out an oil and filter change, replaced the aux coolant pump, replaced the old number plates, refurbed the wheels, had some small corrosion spots removed from the drivers door shut and just under the spoiler and had it professionally buffed and polished for good measure! So i'm now the proud owner of a showroom fresh (near as damnit) Corrado that i'm worried about parking anywhere near my local tesco! Still have a slight oil leak to sort from the sump and another from one of the diff seals that i noticed when i serviced it though. But I know from experience that it's all completey worth it as theres no car i would rather drive! I've already had a huge amount of info from this forum and i'm sure will continue to do so. cheers everyone Lewis

Hi guys, I have a 95vr6 and recently noticed that the aux pump wasn't going at all, i checked it and it was seized and corroded. I replaced the pump and the blown 5a fuse on the fan control unit but it still won't afterrun when the ignition is switched off even when engine up to temp. I am under the impression that if I bridge the b and d terminal on the yellow temp sender and get fans and pump then I need a sender but if not I need a control unit?

I recentley noticed that my Aux pump did not run on my 95 Vr6, so I replaced it, cleaned corrosion from the multiplug, still wouldn't work so i checked the Fan control unit and replaced the 5amp fuse. The pump now runs when ignition on but doesn't afterrun for 10min like it's supposed to? I'm thinking the next step is to bridge the b and d terminals on the yellow sender in the thermo housing and if i get fans and pump then wiring is ok and sender is faulty? If they don't come on I need a Fan control unit?
