Hi, As title I'm after a late spec 4 slat grille with Badge preferably with all the tabs and clips in place Cheers James
-
it all means sod all anyway cos I filled the Golf yesterday morning at £1.32.9/L and this morning it was the same price so clearly not everyone is passing it to customers
-
It's going up by the rate of inflation as of April 1st

http://www.petrolprices.com/fuel-tax.html The extra tax is on fuel duty so it shouldn't be affected by VAT, which means it should only go up by 1p but you know that means 3p at the pumps minimum probably ---------- Post added at 02:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:48 PM ---------- Besides it looks like its going down :-) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12831894

Just switched my insurance over from my Mk3 Golf to my G60, had to pay an additional £120 making it a total of £650 for the years insurance. Had quotes down to £501 though with 20000miles declared -
fancy selling it? ;-)

To be fair on such occasions you're probably in the right with her in the wrong

Morning all My car is missing its front splitter. I'm after a replacement and have seen there seems to be 50mm and 90mm ones available. Which would you recommend on a 60mm dropped Corrado G60? Cheers, James

1. I lived in South Africa for two years (and flew out there on Sept 11 2001 - possibly the scariest flight I've ever taken) 2. I'm pretty obsessed with pushing myself to physical limits (cycle daily without fail, hiked across the alps through switzerland in 8 days, and completed the national three peaks challenge in 18hr 27mins) 3. I ran a franchised mobile phone shop at the age of 21 and closed up just before the recession in time to actually have made some money James

All the lads went for a blast around leicester last night but I had biking commitments so couldn't make it, plus my G60 still isn't ready. Next couple of weeks though definitely....

Tuesday nights in Leicester down at East Goscote at the back of the Industrial estate where, on private land, there is a strip of tarmac where cars have a trash. Been down there no end of times (not in the C yet though)

Prep'd and paint cam cover in black. Bought new passenger door handle, Oil breather valve, New metal pressed number plates, and radio DIN blank (whilst I figure out how to rewire the cut stereo loom) -
Has anyone fitted newman cams to their G60? The previous owner told me my car was fitted with them but after taking the cam cover off yesterday I'm unsure how true this is. I can't find a reciept for them in the paper work and they look very "VW". Can anyone post a picture of what their cams looked like (pre installation) and what letters/numbers were stamped on them Cheers James

Took the cam cover off ready for a respray. Removed all the crappy subwoofer cables. Removed passenger door handle which needs replacing after initial inspection -
Hi, I'm looking for the oil breather valve that sits on top of the rocker cover (on the right) and feeds into the boost return hose. Those who have done a boost return mod may have this available Pic without the breather: Cheers, James

The plot thickens. There was indeed a vacuum pipe not plugged in near the throttle body. I've taken this off for some porting & polishing work. However there seems to be three vacuum pipes and only two places for them to attach to the TB. Where do they all go? Picture isn't the best but you can see three vacuum pipes hanging around

Took the G-lader off ready for a rebuild that I'll be doing myself. Also removed the throttle body for porting and polishing and dewedge of small outlet chamber butterfly. I will be doing a progress thread soon with everything I'm doing -
Ah I have sliders not dials making it pre facelift. Maybe this is something that could go on the buyers guide wiki?
-
I'll take a look. How do I know if I'm pre facelift or past facelift? I can't notice the differences lol
