Hi Wendy, I am a bit gutted I didn't look at prices more carefully now! I bought when Corrado's were at pretty much their lowest. Mid recession and not many folks wanted VR6 running costs. Since then I've added on value for the time and cost I've put into it but didn't factor in that values have gone up in general and seem to be only going up as the cars become more rare. Lots of interest so far, I suspect it will be gone soon :( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve owned this car since 2012 and brought it up from being a decent car in daily use, to being a really nice Corrado used for weekend trips and shows. I’ve spent hundreds of hours and thousands of pounds getting it to this "garage princess" standard……but I’ve always wanted a 911 and now I can just about afford one so sadly it has to go! It is a 1993 VR6 (L reg) in Blackberry with Black heated leather. I am very much an OEM+ man and so I’ve gone down the route of it retaining its original look but with little tweaks here and there. I've bought brand new OEM parts when available at eye watering costs! It has 147K on the clock but don’t let that worry you as the only original part on the engine is the block and gearbox. Everything that was worn on the car has been replaced, from cylinder head to timing chains to bushes through the window scrapers. Everything works as it should or better. I have an NVQ3 in Engineering and 20 years of VW ownership (beetles, golfs and 3x Corrados) so I have done most basic work myself with the mechanics done by Stealth or MB Motorsport. The car has full service history, stack of past MOTs and a huge folder of receipts. Current MOT is September 2017 and passed with no advisory. Important receipt from stealth, and I also have a 2" thick file of receipts. All MOTs for last 10 years Link to more pics https://www.amazon.co.uk/clouddrive/share/xgNW0Ir28XjpIcQh2vvOCelqODTO1a34mX8wOOyhVmh?v=grid&ref_=cd_ph_share_link_email Exterior Body and paint is pretty much faultless as I had the car partially resprayed when I bought it, along with a new, rot free passenger front wing. The wingmirrors are only bit that let it down a bit as they have stone chips and the glass is starting to go at the edges. The car with come with two brand new ones, inc glass that I never got around to fitting. Fairly hard to find SEAT Toledo moonroof that fits the roofline properly unlike many others, also had a new sunroof seal while I was fitting it. Spoonfed PU 70mm front lip Lupo wipers SWG Scuttle tray LED H4 headlamp bulbs New VR6 grille, New window scrapers, roof gutter trims, Ariel gasket etc New badges, VR6 grille badge, front and rear VW badges, corrado script rear badge is in good condition Fogs and indicators are mint and have been LaminX’ed Brand new passenger side headlamp lense BBS RX226 (16” Golf MK3 anniversary wheels) fully refurbed last year, all tyres are good Cavities were all injected with Dinitrol, sills, chasis rails etc Underside was fully inspected in 2014, fuel tank removed and rear beam, tank straps etc all refurbished. Body was rot free apart from the odd bit of surface rust and that was treated with POR15 before being resealed in Black underbody Shultz Interior The interior was completely removed by me back in 2014 for a full restoration, replacement of all clips, relined with felt to stop squeaks, centre tunnel fixed with a Dave16v bracket etc Dash wiring was all tidied up and a new heater matric fitted. Full Black heated leather, in good condition with no nicks or bald patches Drivers seat had a new lower bolster and is in great shape Brand new VR6 steering when from the group buy I organised a few years back, we bought the last 7 wheels from vwclassic at a cost of £170 each Dash, facias, control knobs are all unmarked and it took me ages to find all the mint bits to replace anything that was marked or worn DDI inverted/red illumination LCD screens for MFA and Milometer Set of brand new, original corrado script mats Suspension, drivetrain and brakes KW V1 Stainless coil overs All bushes replaced in last 20K miles including brand new VW rear axle bushes New tie rods, ends etc Poly steering rack bush Front brakes are 288mm from a late mk3 golf VR6 and were refurbed and painted silver before fitting. It also had a new rear drivers side calliper. Finished off with Goodridge braided hoses. All abs sensors replaced EBC Green pads all round with Pagid disks, all in good nick New Pagid handbrake cables Daves16v Short shift kit Engine has Vibra technics front, and gearbox mounts. Rear mount is a JRenshaw poly mount. A bit more vibration that standard but worth it. Engine The car has a SHRICK VGI, Stealth remap and BMC Carbon intake. It also has a full Miltek stainless exhaust with a Decat (Original cat worked fine and will come with the car) The cylinder head was replaced by VW Doncaster at around 120k miles, head gasket and various other bits were done then too. Chains and tensioners, plus the clutch was done by Stealth racing at around 135k MAF, Bosch Fuel pump, Fuel filter, Bosch Lambda, FPR are all new in the last year as I had an issue with the car feeling flat on power. Each thing slightly improved it and now it feels great. The cooling system has been almost entirely replaced in the last 5 years including radiator, heater matrix, temp sensors, thermostat, and all pipes replaced with Black Samco hoses. Early style rubber intake boot ICE JVC head unit with Green illumination to match the dash, it has Bluetooth, CD etc Component speakers in the front Pioneer 4x6 in the OEM rear positions Other bits Has the original Spark plug removal tool, warning triangle and medical kit (replica) Under bonnet foam sound deadening has been replaced I have a shed load of spare parts that can be negotiated in the sale Bad bits Passenger side front window has a different reg etched on it. When I bought the car the window was scratched from a corroded scraper seal and I ordered this one on ebay. The glass is mint but it has a reg etched in the bottom corner. Rear bumper has a very small patch of paint reaction (2p sized) from where it had a smart repair last year, I scraped it on a bollard :( When the respray was done, the drivers side scraper was NLA so we left it on to save damaging it. This has left a small line in the top coat. The door shut areas have not been as well smoothed in the respray as the rest of the car, easy job for someone good with paint. The Autowatch alarm/immob system is pretty old and the siren casing cracked due to the heat in the engine bay. I fixed with some resin but I would have eventually fitted a new alarm if I was keeping it. Price is £6000 firm on the RX226 wheels and that includes the private plate A11 VRX. I also have a set of RH ZW1 splits and adaptors with brand new Toyo proxies that I would do for £500 more (with me keeping the RX226) My PM box is totally full so please contact me at ron dot ashtiani at gmail.com

Hi Jim, sorry to hear you are done for now. I had a similar thing back in 2003. I'd had 2 Corrados and both cost me a small fortune to own. Then I had 10 years out and finally came back to them when I could afford one as a weekend toy......they are too fragile for a daily! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks Chris, think I'll leave these if the tyres are goosed :( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey mate, any news on the state and brand of the Polaris tyres? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you wait until ECP have a deal on you can get a Bosch one for about £50, made a massive difference on my car :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why are the tyres like on the Polaris? Might need some track car spares Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sadly never took any pics of the interior. It was a kind of grey/brown that really went well with the Khaki colour. Never seen another one with that interior. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There were a few unicorn cars back in the day. I've been into Corrados since I bought my first one in 1999. I had a Khaki green VR6 with Mushroom brown leather and VW Motorsport VSR inlet.....possibly the only factory Khaki vr6 in the U.K. It was stolen in 2002 and never seen again :( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'll take it mate! My PM system is full so could you email me at Ron dot Ashtiani at gmail.com please? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Done a few bits on the C over the last month that I thought were worth posting. Firstly, I always thought my corrado felt a bit "flat" below 4K rpm and also idled a bit rough, when compared to my old VR6 circa 2001. I assumed it was me remembering my old car as being better than it was :) This last month I changed the fuel pump as it was whining, plus I noticed the car felt a lot more lively with over half a talk of fuel, but flat as it got more empty. After the pump change the car felt a lot better. Then I changed the MAF as the car was stalling from time to time at the lights.....again, a big improvement and no stalls. Finally I changed the O2 sensor as I put the decat pipe on that I bought 4 years ago. I couldn't get the old one out of the CAT.........holy crap, car pulls like a train from low down in the revs! .....idle is also rock steady! With the above 3 items the car feels like it's gained 20bhp! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Good price, I paid £150 for a set and that included 4x Yoko Prada tyres Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ah yes, I wouldn't lacquer myself as that's a also a pain once it gets chipped. Pretty easy to whip round them with some Autosol. Just need to be careful on what type of wheel cleaner is used. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have you fitted the blower motor yet? Keen to know what you think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No they are complete with the tyres, i am now on 16" bbs. They are ET60 as standard then the adaptor is 25mm so you end up with ET35 which is perfect. Some pics of them on the car. I haven't any close ups so I'd need I take them when I get home next week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
