It was straight in, although I'm going to fit a new seal and so it's coming out again soon. Toledo was early nineties to 98-99

Hi Wayne, I fitted my mk1 Toledo one today and the fit is perfect (excuse filthy car)

I have good cond VR6 steering wheel swap for aftermarket momo etc

If it is Royal Blue with the sunroof Gaffa taped up then yes ;) it's rather sorry looking but the body is straight and fairly rust free. Plus has a 2.0 block which makes the 8V pretty beefy, especially with loads of weight stripped out. Brakes are 280mm G60 jobs with a Cupra master 23mm cylinder. It's having a cage fitted this week, then I've got a pair of bargain ebay bucket seats to go in. Ready to go! I already did a track day at croft in it as that was a right laugh -
Nice work matey, is it on the road this year?
-
No idea about mk4 mate, I think early Octavia fits but glad is slightly the wrong shape.

You can also use an mk1 seat Toledo glass roof

Hi Dave, it's been a while mate! That would be spot on, my golf is at Mickey Boaks anyway at the moment getting the cage welded in. Are you still at the bike place next door? If you can take it to work, then I'll give you a buzz later this week when I go to pick my car up and I'll come over and collect. Cheers Ron -
I used a halfords pressure bleeder that uses air rom the spare tyre and that works fine.

I'm after £65 +postage for mine. Good used ones go for about £50 but I've spent £35 on a furniture clinic kit and a couple of hours of my time on this one to get it looking like new. -
I'll bring the C, it's not been on the road once since August last year :(
-
I'm up for this, likely bring the Corrado but may bring the MRCed S4 ;) Missed the March one was I had to work over seas that week

You have great taste :) -
I have a spare original vr6 steering wheel (inc horn cover) which I was using until I set up the group buy for brand new ones came up last year. It's the best 2nd hand one I could find as my car had a momo wheel when I bought it. Leather is excellent, no gouges of splits, dents, plastics are a little shiney in places but I am really fussy and comparing to my brand new one. I used the furniture clinic kit on this one to re-coat the leather so it looks like knew. Looking to swap for an after market wheel for my mk2 track car. It's a larger spline pas fit and so a late fit Corrado wheel boss works.

I've got a spare black sunroof trim strip from an mk2. It's the bit that goes around the edge of the headliner at the sunroof aperture. The furry bit :) Not sure if it will fit a Corrado 100% but I am about to fit my sunroof and can check. £20+ p&p if anyone wants it?

Nearly new stereo system inc speakers - ?90 delivered Nearly new car stereo system, removed from my MK2 golf as I?m gutting it to make a track car. System was only put in 6 months ago and so all these items are in very good nick. All this gear is the best of budget, reviews are excellent and it sounded great in the car. Head unit comes with original receipt for ?50 from Halfords and has a year Guarantee from Sept 2014 Unfortunately the grilles are all missing from the speakers as they are not needed in the Golf as it has built in ones, not a problem if you are fitting into a Corrado. Total cost to buy new at the cheapest places I could find ?160?.. I am after ?90 as a job lot inc delivery to mainland UK. I won?t split as frankly, I don?t have time to keep going to the post office :) Pioneer MVH-160UI Worth ?50 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pioneer-MVH-160Ui-Illuminated-iPhone-Control-Black/dp/B00EY7SRGE Inphase SXT 5.1C 5.25? component system Worth ?45 new http://www.amazon.co.uk/Phase-SXT5-1C-Component-Shallow-Speakers/dp/B0039YPDVA Inphase SXT 57 5x7? Hofmiester replied to lilfuzzer's topic in Cars for Breaking
Hey Fuzz, Do you have any 256mm or 280mm Hubs? I need the full assembly as my MK2 track car has the crappy 239mm with the one piece hub/carriers. Thanks -
Hi Rog, If it is a 4 stud car, do you still have the front hubs, callipers etc as I am looking to upgrade my MK2 track car. Cheers Ron

It's been a busy weekend for me as I started putting it all back together again, probably the 6th time I've said that in the two tears I've owned it! The few blobs of rust were superficial (thank god) a drill as a wire brush tidied things up and then I treated with POR15 before re-applying the rubber under seal. Freshly refurbished rear beam on. For the corners of the rear valance, I used POR15 on the rust patches. Stripping all the under seal away so I could see how far it went. In all cases it looked to be on an edge, that had got nicked and then water had crept under the sealant. On top of the POR15 I used Tiger Seal to create a tough seal in the corners as grit looks to get chucked up there by the rear wheels. Then onto these two bad boys. The Dinitrol is for the cavities, every bolt hole and nook and could find, including the chassis legs got a good dose. Finally once the Tiger seal was dry. I used Tetrosyl stone chip, which is identical to the VW rubberised coating but in black. I blitz over the areas i stripped back with a Shultz gun. Looks wet to start, then dries into a satin finish, rubbery coating. Finally today, I started to waxoyl the under side. Needs a little more and then the tank can go back in. Last job of the day, my handbrake cables looked to be in bad shape, lots of bulges where water had got into them. Put some nice new pagid ones in there, very easy job!
