Renshaw project (probably going to sell / swap)
Macdaddy replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in Members Gallery
I've a Milltek and I find it the same as Jay, sounds stock at tick over and a nice sound at full chat but no more boomy than stock. -
Yes mate, it is indeed Milltek as I thought just unfortunately they don't make replacement bits anymore so got Pipewerx to fit it and make up a new straight piece, Awful fit but they sorted that too so it looks great!

First show and outing for the Corrado of 2012 and I'm happy with the slow progress we've made over the winter with the paintwork. On the way to Ultimate dubs: Couple parked up: Cant wait to get started on correcting the paint next, Oh and the new oem grill being fitted once its arrived.
-
Fitted the brand new rear VR6 badge, glazed the waxed the car ready for Ultimate Dubs tomorrow.
-
Spot on thanks, ours isn't a daily anyway so limited miles policy is what we'd be after with an agreed valuation.
-
Early or late? Got an early drivers indicator which was bought in error!
-
Dont suppose you've any contact details for someone at your insurance company regarding the valuation? Reason i ask is that our insurance is up in a couple of months and i'd ideally like to agree a valuation with a new company, least i know your company do it.

It'll be full paint correction to remove all the swirls, may just use a glaze and wax though for now as seems a waste to detail stuff that's getting painted in 2 weeks. Be a wheels off, clean arches and wheels day today, then treat rubbers with Gtechnic.
-
Thanks for the offer but I've got one of those on the car currently and looking to return to stock.
-
I bought it when I had silly ideas about a smoothed front, since decided oem all the way and it'll be changed back to a stock grill as soon as I get my mitts on one........ New front badge sat on my desk awaiting stock grill! Yep totally stock
-
Got a bargain tbh, Picked up the wheels with tyres and adaptors very cheaply as they were in bad condition. Biggest expense was having them refurbed.
-
All working now, I can edit titles and my threads, Thanks. Keep up the good work because the site's looking good.
-
Yea they are 16"s, Diamond cut finished. I bought the badgeless in the days when i was going for a fully smooth Corrado and my oem grill was damaged, Now i prefer the oem look so want to change back .
-
Pretty sure its on 30mm adaptors all round, Wheels are staggered with 6' and 7's IIRC and no arch work. Think i'm going back to OEM grill.... Opinions?
-
Want a late spec grill, must be in good condition with all tabs present.
-
Thanks guys, I'm happy with the results and its booked back in at the end of the month for the remainder of the paintwork doing now. Nipped over to Pipewerx near Ormskirk and had the Milltek fitted this morning: (iphone pics) Pleased with the sound as its still discreet. Fit was truly awful however the lads at Pipewerx sorted that out by adjusting the oem bracket. The pipe now fills the bumper cut out perfectly. Cars filthy now after the country roads and mud! Next few days should be spent sticking a few layers of polish on ready for Ultimate Dubs this weekend.

Cars collected from the bodyshop and pulled out of the garage just for pictures so literally untouched. Not yet started detailing just simply replaced the rear lights, plates and half way through fitting new badges. Closley inspected and i'm happy with the finish and colour, Detailing should start thursday so ive plenty of time for UD on Sunday. Milltek being fitted tommorrow at 9am by Pipeworx in Burscough...... Pics will follow! Ideally Chris i'd like a set of BBS RS301's for this show season, Porsche wheels are the current dailys but may end changing to something a bit OEM ! Thanks for the other positive comments, hoping we can turn this car into something to be proud of.

Getting one ordered today, Been after one for an age now as thought obsolete and they are listed on ebay for £20-30 the cheeky barstewards!!!
-
Sterling work! :thumbleft: Looks great on those wheels.

When theres so many dogs out there and so many being broken daily its nice to see a mint example Corrado being well maintained! Will be nice to see this at the gathering in at Manchester. You've reminded me that i need to agree a valuation with my insurance company when the paints done.
