  1. Made a start today on the cleaning up the engine bay. Found the cause of why bits of leaves keep ending up all over the dash! I've removed the cover to be cleaned but all this was left behind after i'd scooped as much out as i could. Nothing the dyson couldnt handle though even if my neighbours think ive lost the plot hoovering the engine bay! Test fit after a bit of modification of a Mk2 Golf scuttle panel i picked up for £20 on a local forum. Almost ready for fitting however its going to be primered and sprayed matt black as its really past being black and clean. Next on the cards was to make a start on cleaning the underside of the bonnet which was a right mess tbh. A job i really should have started before i fitted the new foam. Pleased with how its started to come up, took me around 2 hours of hard work to get to this stage and i'm not fully happy with it yet. The bonnet catches have still to be done too. After all the hard work thought i'd better wash the old girl off as its not been done since the trip out to Elsecar. Grabbed a few piccies as its a nice day: Thats all for now, Mk2 scuttles drying so once i'm happy with the paint and the fit pics will follow.
  2. I've a 2nd hand custom blueflame on the RS4, found the after sales complete crap. Emailed to ask for a price on fitting to be told its not compatible on my car but I could book in for a custom system made. Funny as it came off another RS4! Emailed again for a price explaining this to be told they need to look at it still no price. Called up to have it adjusted to be told they were busy, and I'd have to call back? Wtf! Stupidly called again to book and told Nigel was busy call back, told the lady I'd leave my number for him to call when free..... No reply! I went elsewhere, seems they are only interested in big money custom jobs. Very poor!! Used Pipewerx since and they were spot in. Ni
  3. Following on from the successful Manchester meet last month thought i'd mention this again. I'm organizing/attending the Manchester meet for the R32oc forum on Sunday 29th at 3pm at the Soccerdome. As this meets going to be run every other month i'd happily sort this out for us Corrado northerners ! I'll be there so who else fancies a trip over ? 1-Steve
  4. I've organised our usual bi-monthly meet fit the R32oc for the 29th of this month in the same location. If anyone fancies a run over there's plenty of space !
  5. If I had the spare cash I'd buy another Rado ! Fancy something oem or 90's stylee like Borbet C's ir simular.
  6. Box of goodies from furniture clinic arrived this morning: Thanks to Andy (C5 OEM) for the recommendation. I shall be trying them out this weekend and i'll get before and after pictures.
  7. Thanks Chris, Long list of jobs to be completed before Elsecar (if we go) but definatley by All types in May. Full exterior machine polish Continue with the engine bay clean New matts New MAF refurb leather Quite fancying new wheels!!! Perhaps oem styling as BBS RS's are out of budget at the minute.
  8. Fogs £89 each indicators £38 all plus vat but with a 10% discount came to............................ £304 !!! ouch !!! ---------- Post added at 1:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:57 PM ---------- Thanks, that does kinda clear it up a little. Was a little aggreived that my interior is in good shape albeit drivers bolster has some wear and to be marked 12/20 i thought was harsh, but if the markings geared towards "mods" then i should be happy with that score. Still think "show and shine" should be about cleanliness!
  9. That makes me feel better, forgot about stuff like same tyres. Would liked to have had some more critique than just marks so i know where to improve.
  10. Got it thanks, will get the sold bits posted today.
  11. Enjoyed the show yesterday, Well priced food and drink too which is a rare thing at shows! Good to meet some more faces and speak to those i already know. Sadly didnt take any pictures as i wasnt feeling very motivated in the rain nor did i fancy a soaking with no jacket. Did anyone else collect the feedback for show and shine, be interested to see how we compared and help us push on. Hope the Rado we passed outside the show with the bonnet up was ok, didnt stop as Chris and about another three Corrado's had stopped to help!!! Got to love the forum for that! Thanks to Jim too for the offer of borrowing the MAF, turned out once i took advice on how to test it on the car i found mine to be faulty.
  12. Thought i'd best do a quick update: Few boxes of goodies arrived from the stealer dealers on Thursday: Also pictured a new coolant temp sender switch and finally the answer to the fuse box loose cover...... New clips courtesy of pat. ---------- Post added at 8:33 AM ---------- Previous post was at 8:27 AM ---------- Car arrived back form the bodyshop Thursday evening having had the roof and passenger side painted which means the cars now tidy again (almost). Friday afternoon involved fitting the brand new fogs and indicators and new coolant temp switch which sadly after an hour of swearing proved not to be the cause of the cold start erratic idle...... Balls! Hoovered and washed the car Sunday, quick coat of wax and fitted my solution to worrying about more stone chips: Ok its not the prettiest thing in the world but i'm much happier knowing the protection the front now gets. ---------- Post added at 8:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 8:33 AM ---------- Monday we travelled across to Elsecar to meet up with more forum cars for the show: Sadly it rained most of the day but a few of us did catch a break and manage to get a drying session in just prior to show and shine judging. Really good turnout of cars for the forum and think i managed to have a chat with most owners and put a few faces to cars/forum names. Enjoyed the day out and was "different" to get some feedback from our marking sheet in the show and shine: Not sure how the cars marked exactly, It wasnt entered in the standard cars class so any advice what they'd be looking for apprecitated. The marks: Bodywork 15/20 - Not bad as its fresh from the bodyshop and untouched by machine......... for now! Wheels 13/20 - Well they are in decent shape and clean as i could get them in the rain? Engine 10/20 Probably fair comment as ive only just made a start on this Interior 12/20 The cars in very good shape inside, Wear to the drivers bolster and needs two new matts but i'd be happy when they are sorted. Overall look of the car 13/20 Well it was raining ! Not taking those to heart but i am learning its interesting getting written feedback on the car! :)
  13. Drivers fog sold to 3corsameal. Can take the remaining to Elsecar if needed,
  14. Having a few cold start and occasionally lumpy idle issues and think its the MAF. Anyone going to Elsecar with a spare or one for sale i could try first to see if its the issue ?
  15. Long shot but anyone got a spare MAF for me to try at Elsecar? Cars coughing and spluttering at cold and i've changed the BTS with no luck. Even if its just someones spare and i can just try it to see if thats the problem :(
  16. So turn up and let them know when i'm there with you guys? Sorry just i've not been to this before and not sure of the script.
  17. Anyone know what the deal is for the show and shine for club cars? Thinking of entering for the craic. I know its says just turn up but will that mean i'm then seperated from the Corrado forum? Never done S+S before.
  18. PayPal's good as gift or adding fees pls. It's [email protected]
  19. Coolant temp switch fitted, Car washed and coolant drained and refilled.
  20. Just washed ours ready, loathed to wax it as its forecast rain which will be nice !
