Tried that, just comes up with a grey box with no text to edit and the title locked.

Is it possible to edit your own titles of threads, Ive tried going advanced and its not allowing to edit at all. Basically after editing the title of my thread/blog in the members section. The *progress upto now* changed to *In the bodyshop* Does this require emailing an admin to do for me ?
-
Nipped across to the bodyshop (no not the cosmetic store) and took some pictures of the work that's in progress, Been a long time coming this work so we are pretty excited to get the car back and for me to start with the exterior detail. Rust removed from rear plinth: Lacquer peel removed from rear bumper: Arch scuff removal: Bonnet stone chips: Front bumper and wings weren't quite prepped however i'll be across today to grab some more shots hopefully.

Looking forward to this already, always good to see other Rado's and compare notes. So the list of those interested then: C5 OEM Macdaddy 24V Renshaw Ronko TBC 24th or 25th March at the JJB Soccerdome, Trafford Centre, Manchester. Can you edit your title in this post to have the date and location on? Do we prefer the Saturday or the Sunday ? Sunday maybe quieter around there?

I've not seen him post on DW for a long time, It gets to be a bit of a contest on there sometimes about who's detailed the best car etc. He posts his work on Facebook alot, Search "puredetail" and theres plenty of pics. Not seen him do a full correction on the Corrado exterior yet however that said i know he's one in the workshop at the minute.

I'll also be buying these in bulk tomorrow for the above reason of taking the badge off to clean............. Also buying extra as no doubt they'll be obsolete like every other damn part for the Corrado!

No idea, cant quite understand how it can be so dirty unless its the burnt oil fumes that have blown into the cabin from the leaking rocker! Thanks, KN sounds great and gives a great roar when opened up. The RS has a non-res Blueflame fitted so wins in the noise stakes though! lol You know it makes sense, He's been busy detailing another Rado this week to (other than mine!). Just got to blag him into helping me detail the outside next week after its back from the bodyshop!

Yea i knew it was in bad shape when we got the car but when its all one colour you dont realsie how bad. Cant believe how well it came up or how much fresher it smells! I'll get details of whats been used and see if i can get pics of the leather results too, Its gone from tough and shiney to a more pliable matt finish. Thanks, Blue HT leads should finish it off nicely.

Next job on the list was removing the old oil soaked soundproofing from the engine bay: Leaving a cleaner bonnet and ready for either polishing up or replacing with new sound proofing at a later date. Door shuts also cleaned up: After degreasing and ready to be dressed: Engine bay warning stickers had seen better days and were peeling off so new ones ordered and fitted: Cleaned and new ones fitted: ---------- Post added at 2:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:30 PM ---------- On with another MOT advisory job which was a weeping rocker cover gasket. I could smell the leaking oil burning onto the manifold and it was a right mess. Removed the rocker  And thought i'd get the bits powder coated whilst off. Finally re-fitted along with a KN induction and another spruce up of the engine bay including new clips/screws on the headlight brackets. Next engine bay job is a service and new Magnacor blue leads! ---------- Post added at 3:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:46 PM ---------- While dropping off the rear lights with Jonny@Puredetail in Chorley to be smoothed prior to re-tint and lacquer i mentioned the headlining could do with a clean. Seems the last few years of oil fumes into the cabin had taken the toll on both the appearence and smell. Using compressed air, APC and a speacialist spray gun he set to work on cleaning. This technique means no pressure is applied for a deep cleanse and it leaves the roof dry straight away to prevent damage Before: 50/50 shots: Sunroof done Final shot of the finished roof I knew the roof wasnt clean when we got the car and i'd plans for either a new lining or Alcantara covering to hide it. The 50/50 just shows how dirty and disgusting the roof was, I'm not just saying this but it looks like its a newly fitted factory roof. Cant recommend enough having this done enough!!! Needless to say i'm now keeping as it is. Jonny went on to show me how dirty the leather interior was and finished it off with G-technic to protect and maintain the matt finish rather than the awful well worn look shiney finish that had become normal. ---------- Post added at 3:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:00 PM ---------- How she sits today: Awaiting the new smoothed/polished rear reds fitting (old lights still fitted in picture) Booked into the body shop on Monday for some attention to lacquer peel and stone chipped front end so bodyshop pics will follow this week. I'd big plans for a smoothed front and rear but ive since seen sense and decided OEM all the way!

Next was a quick engine bay clean to spot any issues and tidy up a little. Much better: Suspension had been mentioned on the MOT advisories so it was a great excuse to fit adjustable AP coilies. No longer tractor height! New wheels, Red rears and colour coded grill and our private plate (also on M reg!) prior to the first outing to All types in 2011 Then a week after the show some silly old fool swerved into the T-junction that my Mrs was sat at and swiped the front of the car..... Fortunatley just new fog/indicator and number plate needed and no injuries to anyone. ---------- Post added at 9:43 AM ---------- Previous post was at 9:43 AM ---------- Thanks, Loads more pics to upload over the course of today. We are in Preston.

The old thread disappeared into the black hole, As i've progressed the car a little since then too i've decided to start a new thread with background/progress pics which i'll start to upload. We bought the Corrado in April 2011 as we'd both liked the look of them and fancied something a bit older for the shows. We spotted the car on Pistonheads which detailed its 180k miles with its current owner being just number 2 and having the car since 1999 when it had just 26k on the clock! Full service history, wanted for nothing so we travelled the 220 miles (4 hours) each way!! down to Salisbury and bought the old girl. This is the first stop on the way home last year at the services: First job was a clean and cleanse of the paintwork to see what it was like: Clean up the stock exhaust: Paint clean:

Any links to the correct ones, cant see any other than green side moulding ones. Unless they are the same?

Passenger headlight removed to fix the sidelight that wasnt working, Re-plugged in, sidelights changed to Led. Number plates removed ready for the bumpers spraying on Monday. Oh and gave the old girl a quick wash too. ---------- Post added at 3:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:24 PM ---------- Passenger headlight removed to fix the sidelight that wasnt working, Re-plugged in, sidelights changed to Led. Just thought I'd say thanks for the heads up on these, bought a set after reading this thread and I'm very impressed! Brighter more white beam that definately shines further down the road! Well worth the £14 on eBay!

As title, Late centre console for my VR, must be mint with no cracks or missing tabs as that's what I'm replacing. Can collect if in NW area.
-
Anyone fancy getting together and having a Corrado club stand here? Was an enjoyable show last year.
-
I've got a Blackberry one sat here that i bought and didnt need, £20 and i'm only in Preston so fairly local to you. I can also recommend a very good bodyshop here too, Its where my Corrado is going for painting on Monday!.
