  1. Car collected, I'm over the moon with the paint! So much so it's booked back in for the last two untouched panels and roof at the end if the month. Pics tomorrow when it's got the rear lights put back on.

  4. Well we hadnt planned to get so much done, its kind of snowballed. plan is to have the passenger side done soon as it'll finish the outside off. Thanks Gareth, Be looking for some tips as i'm considering show and shine and some point this year.
  5. Mines the same mate, can't edit normal posts at mo.
  6. Spent an hour cleaning up the tailpipe by hand with wire wool, still a bit to go until i'm happy with it but i'll get a rotary on it to finish it off. Rear lights smoothed, tinted, lacquered, wet sanded and a quick polish, still to have the polish residue removed and lower half polished up.
  7. That was mid prep, its all come off and been painted now. Had the back bumper, rear panel where the badges sit, full drivers side, bonnet, front bumper, both front wings all done as it was stonechipped badly.
  8. Thanks Guy, Took a two hour trip across to see matt (Redborbet) and pick up the stainless exhaust system he had listed on ebay. Was great to have a look at another forum car and listen to the great sound of his decat exhaust!!! Hope our neighbours dont give you too much grief now lol! The unknown make exhaust had "msvw" number plates on each part leading me to beleive its a Milltek, Also looks very much like the Milltek style but i'll find out for definate when i give them a call on Monday to replace the straight pipe that matt had to unfortunatly cut to free it from his car. Will be mostly spending today hopefully getting that tail pipe upto "show and shine" standard and cleaning up my newly smoothed/tinted rear reds! pics will follow.
  9. I've used Awesome-Gti for years for parts, servicing and also fitting of bits. They are all enthusiasts too and appreciate your pride and joy. Been to many events there, know most of the staff and cant recommend them enough. I used to take both R32's there for servicing rather than a main dealer.
  10. We usually find its better around 1pm after the morning shoppers have all descended however i'm happy to go with the flow so it fits in with the most people. The list updated: C5 OEM Macdaddy 24V Renshaw Ronko Rickdonald WesleyVr6 (poss) tony_ack (poss) eddy.H If we get ten show up i'll even bring across some Krispy Kreme doughnuts............ 12. Nice to put another forum name to a face, Even if i now need a decat after listening to yours ! :thumbleft: ---------- Post added at 8:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 8:12 AM ---------- Thanks, Cant wait to get her back and start getting on with the million jobs ive got before Ultimate Dubs show this week. ---------- Post added at 8:17 AM ---------- Previous post was at 8:13 AM ---------- Thought i'd update the last lot of piccies i have from the bodyshop: Popped across on Friday to pick her up to be told she's fully painted however needs a few hours of flatting the paint before being ready. Certainly looked like a nice job thats been done, but was a bit weird not seeing the lacquer peel across the bumper that i've become a custom too over the last 12 months of ownership.
  13. I'm in Preston Lancashire, Not sure on the other questions and may stand corrected but i think the fogs will all swap over on to the later bumper.
  14. I've got a front bumper but its off a late car, Needs painting, Willing to package for a courier. £25 to get it out the way?
  15. Oem badges, rear vw, vr6, corrado all in oem silver finish. Managed to get brand new VR and VW badges at great expense but really want a new oem silver corrado badge.
  16. Personally i use this : http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/exterior-coatings/c4-permanent-trim-restorer/ And its brought the colour back to this: Its wipe on with a cotton pad and buff off and it leaves it like new, beads water and lasts months.
  17. Wet sanded two of the four rear lights now theyve had a few days to cure following tint/lacquer............Two to go then ready for polishing!
  18. Count me in for scanning please, never had ours done so should be interesting to see if anythings amiss.
