  1. Heres just a couple of my pics, Took my camera but in the finish didnt take many pics. Just a couple of the Corrado's i spotted today, Think we counted 5 including ours thats all!
  2. Just wanted to know what people are doing with the usually tired old stinking engine sound proofing from the underside of the bonnet? I've pulled the worst bits off and i'm not sure whether just to remove it all and clean up the paint or replace with something else. Either way it looks a complete mess tbh and had oil splashed all over from where the oil breather valve was knackered. What i do know is i covered the engine in a sheet before i took some off as it just disintegrated everywhere and would have made a complete mess. I've searched and know its £100 or so from VW but what do most do?
  3. Anyone fancy meeting up before hand and convoy down? We are coming from Preston. Lymm services for McD breakfast is always a show starting winner!
  4. Removed the front grill, sanded primed and now colour coded and drying in the kitchen! Repaired the boot lock as the air locking pipe was leaking.
  5. Haha!!!!!!!! Just stolen those links for another forum to make me look funny! 2nd ones my dream job lol
  6. Just been outside to sort the same or simular problem. After some research i found it was the central locking pump that's buzzing away and not the fuel pump as i had initially suspected. (Situated behind the carpet on the rear drivers side within the boot). Could also hear hissing from the boot lid. Taken off the rear panel and found the air pipe to have dislodged from the lock actuator. Ive tried pressing it back on but had no luck as it still leaks. Hot gluing it in place and hopefully sealing any leaks is what I'm trying as a temp measure as i don't want to cause damage to the pump. Not that an interesting reply Ive done but hopefully it'll help someone in the future if they search key words. :) Anyone know where to buy the little yellow elbow joints as i think maybe this ones gone brittle.
  7. Try getting someone pushing down on the bonnet while you pull the lever, Then once you've pulled the lever a second or so later they release the bonnet and it should lift. This happened on a couple i was viewing and it worked everytime.
  8. Would show ours but no stand to go on :( Normally only go to shows and show the car tbh

    bouncy ride

Stock dampers? Could be that they've been pushed too far now.
  10. They look miles more OEM than the S3 seats do which is better tbh if thats the look your after. That said i'm leaning towards Porsche seats trimmed in S5 silver/white leather and blackberry piping to match the car.
  11. We'll be there, Not sure in the Corrado or the RS........... Got a feeling the Mrs wants the Rado's first show outing!
  12. Ive done some digging and found a company in Germany that supply them new................... 148 Euros each !!!! Think i'll see what difference the loom/bulbs make and look at a refurb if needed.
  13. Ok thanks, Well that answers that. I'd rather pay for them refurbed as its cheaper than a 2nd hand pair.
  14. My drivers side headlight isnt that hot tbh, Beam pattern and also poor output. Upgraded loom is now bought thanks to ebay and i'll be buying new bulbs too. The reflective surface inside the headlights on its way out i think. Has anyone refurbed these or stuck reflective sheeting to it ? Or do most people just put up with it? I dont really fancy spending £50 per old headlight when they arent really going to be in much better condition.
  15. Payment sent to Hombre_Paulo, No longer need this part now.
  16. That's what I'm after, pm me re payment etc.
  17. I'd say you'd only JUST get away with those if stopped but tbh i'd get them changed. While your at it get your alignment checked if its scrubbing on the edge as its either out or like above your tyre pressures are too low. If your alignment had been ok then tbh the even wear across that tyre would still be legal as it looks ok on the inner edge. Is your car lowered? May explain why its worn. As a guide you'll find raised lumps in between certain areas of tread. (wear indicators). These are a useful indicator as to when your tyres are low for the average person thats not well up on whats legal and whats not. Usually they are around 2mm of tread high.
  18. I'm going to removing the air box and replacing it with a cone filter. What size is the end of the MAF tube? Think i need this to ensure i get the correct ended filter, Or have people just used universal fitting filters? Thanks
  19. Yes, this bit shown here that goes to the air intake. have you a pic of it? pm me if you like or email [email protected] Oh and the engines not that dirty anymore lol!
  20. After the oil breather valve and associated pipes. Price posted please if you still have one.
  21. As mines leaking and peeing oil onto the back of the engine 9which smells nice) i need a replacement. It must be in good condition and perhaps include the other attached pipes. thanks
  22. Deleted - please read the forum rules and submit an advert properly.. thanks -- Jim
