All read now:) Wow what a thread. Funny enough I have actually seen this Rado in the flesh. Got a tip to head over to see John at JMR Racing in Littlehampton must be nearly a year ago now before starting a G60 project myself. Recognised his garage in the photos. Lovely example of a Corrado & a true representation of the kind of work that JMR do. That engine bay is breath taking, you must be so happy with the work JMR have done. So far John has reconditioned 2 superchargers for me ( http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?75705-G60-Project/page2 ) but there is a long road ahead of me for my G60 project. Anything you would recommend for anyone else doing of thinking of doing a G60 project? Thanks for the inspiring thread:thumbleft: -

There is something missing but i cant put my fingure on it:scratch:
-
Lol, Lifes all about giving it a go.......once in a while you'll surprise yourself. lets hope this is one of those times.
-
With the weather being so cold at the moment i would imagine it'll need longer to dry mate. You want to be 100% sure that the lacquer has cured otherwise you have to start from scratch. I personally would leave it for a few days just to be sure. You can judge it for yourself though, just don't jump in & ruin all your hard work. Don't forget the pics:thumbleft:
-
I have a similar problem but not as extreme, hope you get to the bottom of it mate.

i would have thought 4 decent coats should be enough. but if it doesn't look right.............

Morning all little update on the G60 project. been buying all sort for my project the last 4 month. Turns out luck is on my side & i work 2min from JMR. John & Troy have been fantastic the last few month & pointing me in the right direction for my rebiuld & giving me plenty to think about. That in mind Christmas came early for me yesterday & picked up 2 Superchargers i asked John to recondition & sort out rough stage 4 job that had priviously been done (i wont mention any names) & here is the result:smug:

Try polish with a bit of baby oil in it (80%polish 20%baby oil) havent tryied it my self but it's ment to give it a nice shine. worth try before going down any aprasive routes. how many layer of Lacquer did you apply??
-
It all depends on how bad the lacquer damage & how big the area is I think. Look up feathering, as it essentially what your doing without the respraying. YouTube has a lot of info if you haven't tried that yet. Visit a body shop as well, they will give you good advice & let you know if you have the right lacquer.
