  1. - Fit new front suspension bits - Purchase old rear axle to refurbish - Get front seats re-leathered
  2. Welcome to the forum :) Parts supply is an issue we are all suffering at the moment sadly. I assume your car must be a 16V then.Easiest thing to do is to find a MK3 Golf/Jetta VR6 or MK3 Golf GTi with 5 stud (assume they are more popular than Corrado's in Israel? lol) and then buy the TT calipers and brakes separately. Any photo's of the Corrado meets in your country?
  3. Hi all, I tapped into the live feed on the radio connector which gives the unit power and the CD changer seems to read the disc but I just get 'no cd' from the radio :( I am using part number 6N0057111 CD autochanger which is technically for the VW Polo Gamma (5?) radio from 2000-2002. Maybe thats the problem then :(
  4. I will be doing Group Buys for the following VW Classic Parts soon :) - Rear Plinth's - Glovebox finishing trim (the one that always breaks) - Rear VW badges - Fuse Box Clips Pricing TBC
  5. I think the fact the Corrado was so highly rated in the press took even VW by suprise. Hence why every car made years afterwards was still stodgy and boring old VW. It took until the MKIV R32/MKV GTi before they started getting on the ball again... ...and i'm sure it's nice to imagine with rose-tinted glasses that there were VW engineers trying to create the 'ultimate driving machine'. But lets be honest, it was a cobbling together of bits from the VW parts bin that turned out somehow turned out good. I think the closest VW group has ever come to replicating the Corrado is the Audi A5 and that's so popular theres no exclusivity factor to owning one. The Jetta Coupe looked promising but sadly they shelved that this year so definately nothing coming out until 2013 :( Rumours are there will be an A3 Coupe & Cabriolet in 2013/2014 though. So I shall look forward to that :)
  6. Sounds like she's doing exactly what happened in my situation. You take her to court, she pleads poverty and the court make her pay £1.50 a month for the next 10 years.... :(
  7. That would never be up to my standards though. It's the reason I've spent already spent £5k in 10 months!
  8. How much did the Recaro's set you back? I REALLY want a set as they seem to modernise the interior IHMO. But as i'm grey leather it's a nightmare! :(
  9. Slight problem :( Connected using Kufatec CD Changer cable linked above and VW CD Changer 6N0057111 and it's not working :( The CD Changer powers up, but the cassette player just says "no CD" :( Any confirmed OEM units that work?
  10. Can anyone recommend a decent car jack with a flat base?
  11. Monday: OSF lower door painted, blended and four dents taken out. Today: Putting my summer wheels into bags and one of them fell over onto said lower door. Putting a shallow dent in it. Not fecking happy! Hoping a dent devil person will be able to take it out.
  12. That's what they always say...
  13. I can do a Group Buy if you want ;) Give me a few days to get pricing together.
  14. Easiest to find the part number (there's a thread on the Suppliers Forym with it on, started by me) and give them a call. You will pay about £7 postage to get one shipped over. So if theres other Classic Parts bits you need best to order them in one hit.
  15. Parts prices are 25% higher that 3 years ago mate. Inflation and weakness of the pound has meant the prices have gone through the roof. I probably sold them to you at cost anyway
  16. Bloody hell! That ones not coming back! Expect the vultures soon ;)
  17. All the symptoms in the first post point to Alternator.
  18. Honestly, what the **** is wrong with people. Take it they didn't leave a note?
  19. JMC, do you have the name of the eBay user you bought it from? :)
  20. Hi mate, I haven't done it yet :) I'm just trying to find a car with an OEM looking unit. Ideally Kev's Hella one would be the easiest option. But can't find anyone that supplies it anymore. Halfords only do a horrible looking square one now. Best find an 800 Coupe then :) lol
  21. Great choice, one of my best friends has a white one :) I used to have a Honda Accord Type R, him a White DC2 and my other friend a Civic EP3 Type R. So we had the whole set at one point, lol!
  22. I've decided/worked out that the the cost of storage vs getting the rust/paint sorted essentially means that it doesn't matter which way you do it. It works out about the same (unless you own somewhere you can store it of course!) Personally, I've bought the car to drive and enjoy. Just fix what breaks, repair/replace what rusts and enjoy it while you still can :) Mileage matters less and less now at this age, the actual condition of the car is more important IMHO.
  23. Been trying to find an OEM looking but at the same time removable 3rd brake light. Some random googling turned up the MK1 Vauxhall Vectra 3rd brake light that Chavalier and Calibra owners retrofit. The Cavalier seems to have the similar piece of plastic that runs along the rear hatch and if it fits a calibra should have a similar profile too. Should be a cheap item to source as hundreds of Vectra's about. Has anyone managed to get a OEM looking light fitted without having to hack the original trims?
