  1. If I remember rightly my first meet was at the Ardleigh Crown in Colchester in 2003 when I didn't even own a Corrado. It would be another 6 years before I ended up owning one! I remember the gasps on here when I told people i'd finally bought one, lol! I've owned many cars over the years and susequntly joined allot of forums. But this is the only one where I can honestly say that I've made true friends from. Some of whom don't even use the forum anymore. I think it's good to air out some of this stuff personally. One thing I have noticed is that we don't seem to do much as a forum anymore. I remember the epic Karting days that Nathan (jediknight?) used to organise, so much fun and a great way to get to know people. Maybe something to work on for next year? Judith; Will do :)
  2. I was never that impressed with the ones on my first C, but later found out it was because someone had forced my knob (oh-err) for the flaps and they'd all jumped a few teeth. My blue one is lovely and toasty :)
  3. Never knew anything about this? Wow! Judith; I think I tried to register and pay online and that didn't work so I paid at Stonor in the end. But anyway no card or membership pack :( It would be nice to have a couple of the previous issues I missed out on I wouldn't mind writing a little about my Corrado experiences and my current car or writing for the magazine :) Most people don't listen to me at the best of times though, lol I will do my best to pop down next April as well.
  4. Keep the suspension standard but chuck on a 90mil splitter. You will learn to love the standard suspension especially with our crap roads!
  5. Wouldn't unlicensed just mean it's sorned?
  6. They are pence from a dealer and still available. Fitted new ones last week when my C had some bits sprayed :)
  7. I personally think that the CCGB is a 20th Century Club in a 21st Century age. It was started in a time where people communicated via newsletter, telephone or post and the internet has become king when it comes to clubs these days. The magazines are nice but massively inefficient when you think it could just be sent to paying members in a PDF format. In an ideal world. A coming together of the CCGB and the Corrado Forum would be the future and would make the job of the people that run it a million times easier...but I appreciate the past may stop this happening. But you only need to look at sites like the MLR and Club Polo to see it could work.
  8. Joined with Chris at Stonor Park in July but no membership number or mags yet? :( Would like to join the forum but guess I need my membership number for this?
  9. Can anyone recommend any leather retrimmers in the South please? :)
  10. OEM part number for a seal is 1H0051753 but they are about £12 now :(
  11. Brand new standard VR exhaust. You know you want to ;)
  12. Well, my Corrado is home. But only to be cleaned and see what else needs finishing off (it's absolutely filthy and covered in dust) ---------- Post added at 05:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:27 PM ---------- Well, my Corrado is home. But only to be cleaned and see what else needs finishing off (it's absolutely filthy and covered in dust) The Honda is now sold and went today. So I sadly won't be there :(
  13. If it was me I wouldn't. The mk2 Golf design as about 5 years older than the Corrado and I couldn't imagine driving anything older than that. Flash your cash and buy a mint Corrado VR again, you know that's ultimately what you wish you'd bought ;)
  14. P6000's are made out of recycled washing up bowls. There's no statistical evidence to prove this, but it's fact....
  15. Some bad news :( Due to staff sickness I won't be able to start the sills until Sunday. So it definately won't be ready for the Rolling Road. Probably unlikely it'll be ready until next weekend :( Nevermind.
  16. Number plate rust done, now for the sills. Hopefully nothing hiding under there otherwise I won't be making an appearance at Stealth :(
  17. Ref; Window rust. Mine has just had the same fixed. Mine wasn't as bad as yours. But perhaps another Corrado weakspot? :(

    no ac!

And it's an old car. They will show the interior plastics no mercy!
  19. That must be a pretty light exhaust. An OEM one would tear that box to shreds in seconds  Weather is meant to be pretty good this weekend so it's your last chance before winte really kicks in! :D
  20. Not allot internally but what I do miss will get a good coating of kurust ;)
  21. Haha awesome :) My nephew used to refer to my green one as 'The noisy car'
  22. Not the cars fault; I broke my C pillar trim trying to put it back on today
