Had the VR since July 04 and had the valver a year before that! If something happened to the VR (god forbid) - I'd only even contemplate replacing it with another Corrado - but it'd have to be a Storm!
-
Fraser - that looks very similar to my VR - whereabouts in Scotland are you? I'm in Largs. Glenn
-
Dubby - you sure he wasn't just blowing the Corrado a kiss? :luvlove:
-
ooh NASTY!
-
West Coast of Scotland! :afro:

Dark Burgundy Pearl? My fav Corrado colour!
-
That's crap - there's a guy I see locally who has a Corrado but never seems to acknowledge me. Recently I was out with some mates and these girls joined us and started talking about cars. One of them said she had a Golf and the other said she had a Polo - I said I had a Volkswagen too. Girl with the Polo says "Yeah it's REALLY old isn't it? I've seen you drvivng about in it - it's an old blue thing isn't it?" to which I replied "yeah it is a classic now and I find that the 200bhp - heated leather etc. makes up for it being a wee bit older!" I guess some folk just don't appreciate how amazing the Corrado is!

gotta love that dark burgundy pearl!
-
Bless whoever came up with this description!
-
I'd second the comments above mate - car looks 8) and I'd just keep it that way.
-
I love the VR - noise never fails to raise a :D but I loved the throatiness of my valver - used to pop and burb like a Porsche! Sounded awesome!
-
I think it's the same fitment - it's just the aesthetic qualities of the bumper that are different. Could be wrong though!

Hey Greeny - that looks like it'll help tonnes - cheers! I kept trying to access that site but it kept kicking me off AOL so I gave up. The instuctions I got weren't so clear - I thought you had to unplug it before you could remove it and there's little or no slack on the cabling - it simply wouldn't come out of the car - so we had to fish around at the rear of it using a mirror to see what we were doing. No wonder we couldn't unplug the panels!
-
No - I couldn't disconnect it - so LCD panels were still functioning. I took surround off - removed screws to take transparent face off - removed green filter, removed clock faces and removed screws - but couldn't unplug the LCD screens. We tried unclipping them from the rear but no joy - my dad said he thought it had a plastic tie clip on it - that might be giving problems.
-
if you mean the ones behind the actual clocks then yeah - removed the board from the white plastic clips too.
-
Cheers guys - I've never felt this frustrated with the car after 3yrs of Corrado ownership. At least I know more what to expect when I try again though. But will still need help to unplug the LCD screens.

It's 6pm - I'm raging! Started about 2pm - was trying to do the LED conversion to my instrument panel! Total nightmare. I thought I was prepared - printed off a few hints and tips from the forum and confidently tackled it. Four hours later I'm no further along - car is still in original state and I've managed to break the black plastic surround! I'm no mechanical genius but I've fitted two interiors and they were a piece of piss compared to this! I couldn't get the LCD screen unplugged so that I could change the polarising lense or fit the new LEDS. There's so little room to maneuver and found it impossible to see the rear of the VDO cluster. When I eventually gave up due to fading light and a sprinkling of rain. I found it fairly easy to reassemble everything and put it back in it's place until I went to put black plastic surround back on - it won't fit flush with the dashboard and the right hand screw tab has broken off! I really hate when stuff like this happens and I'm feeling pretty facked off right now - any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated - although I wont get a chance to have a second shot till next Sunday now. And I'm looking for a bit of plastic trim now too! Think I'll finish off that bottle of plonk in the fridge tonight! :drinking:

I've never heard of them being galvanised! And my old valver was rotten under the arches - with very definite rust!
-
They'll only break you know! :bad-words:
-
1-no 2- yes but I'd probably get her to use a swab from the first aid kit! :nurse:
-
it's never good! My bare back touched my leather the other day in subzero temps!

I'm sure they were an option on VR6s - there was a lovely looking silver VR a while back that had all the knobs on and included these wheels.
