God - it's turned into Corrados Reunited!

Started new job last week - trained for one week. Got put in department this week - talking to guys about my hobbies - tell them about the car - they have seen it in the car park - have a laugh with this other guy - who was saying his Focus ST170 would destroy my car - come out to my car at the end of they day and have left my lights on - battery totally dead! One of the guys has to give me a jumpstart! That happened today! Oh how I'm dreading tomorrow. What's worse is that they tried to push the motor first and kept pushing on the spoiler! So we abandonned that idea!

Some people change the silver VR badge to a red one so that is ties in with the red Storm badge. I wouldn't worry about it - if the paint code is mystic, its got black heated leather and two Storm badges - then I'm pretty sure it's a storm. It has the Solitudes as well - yeah?

What did you lube it with? WD40 and the like can actually hamper spoiler movement - best to use white grease! Like your Avatar by the way! 8)

Did you remove your Storm badge for the respray or did someone swipe it?

Certainly is individual - can't help thinking people are being a wee bit harsh though. We all have our own vision of where we want our car to be - a lot of time and effort has gone into this motor. It certainly stands out - are you pleased with it MADDUB?

A colleague of mine said the standard rear lights on the Corrado look like someone as stuck big liqourice allsorts on the back! I like the standard ones myself!

Coz I couldn't be bothered going to the dealer and paying a silly amount - folk on ebay pay over the odds for them so I had to wait till I finally won the bid on a used cheap one! :wink:

Good that you've got one - took me ages to get one from ebay - although you can still get them from suppliers too. Have you got the First Aid Kit too mate?

Nice looking motor - love the wheels. Where in Scotland are you from? I'm in Ayrshire.

I've seen those Corrado badged ones before - they are just black flaps with the Corrado script in white - aren't they? I was sure they were moulded on and painted white and not a badge.

Song choice was brilliant - you gotta laugh at these things otherwise you'd just cry.

It happened whilst parked at night! Neighbours heard the horn going (wires must have melted and fused) and phoned the fire brigade. Two engines no less! After it was all sorted my mate tried the ignition and absolutely everything came on - headlights, horn, wipers etc. to which he replied "Well that's gotta be a first - everything working on a Ford!" :lol:

Lol - I must add that wasn't me but the previous owner! lol Made a mess of my recaros though!

This happened to my XR3i 2 days after passing my test but then it was only an XR3i! :-
