  1. Have a look on ebay for a chrome Corrado badge for the back - I got mine for about £12. Yours looks exactly like mine did a few months back.
  2. That's super crap - daft bitch! Modern cars should have an inbuilt avoidance program in them that makes them veer away from beautiful cars such as Corrados - and maybe aim for Novas!
  3. Nice pics! Welcome to the Forum.
  4. Work needs done when it needs done really. I don't see the point in having the chains, plugs and other stuff replaced when they're working fine with no signs of trouble. Some people always complain about having to spend a fortune but half of the time it seems unwarranted. Change your oil regular, check everythings cool and address any problems as they appear. My mate VR6Paul had a VR for 2yrs and it passed two MOTs with no probs and all he did was regularly change the oil and it clocked 210bhp at Star's Rolling Road day and always ran like a dream.
  5. Hey Scott, I've had a VR6 since July - previously owned a 2.0l 16v for a year. The VR is amazing and I always hated the way people only seemed interested in Corrados if they were VR6s. The sound is amazing - as is the power and you will be able to handle it - my VR is very drivable (actually easier to drive than the valver) at low revs and amazing at speed. However - I didn't think the fuel consumption would cost me that much more. But it does! I'm spending a fortune - I work locally so don't do many miles but £20 in the valver lasted me 2 weeks but it only last a week in the VR. Might be due to how much I hammer it though. It will cost you more and it is worth it but I'm super skint right now and driving a car that some people don't even realise isn't my old valver. I'd say go for it if you have a bit of disposable income.
  6. worth it for £30,000 and a years Corrado racing though
  7. Happened to me in my valver - heard something rolling about in the back and when I opened the boot there was black plastic rod with a spring as there black collar had broken. I just left it - does it actually do anything?
  8. I have an arch enemy near where I live but I must admit - I'm outclassed by his car. I mean it's a 1.0l Suzuki Swift with Blue neons underneath - which obviously boosts perfomance to about 1000BHP as every time I see him - he tries to race me. It's really quite funny. You gotta love his style though.
  9. I'd buy it for the interior alone - you could sell it for £2500 with a cloth interior in it's current state if you look at the silly money folk are asking at the moment. I sold my valver in September for £2100 and it needed more doing than that VR! Goodluck 8)
  10. In my old valver (Boj) and I swear this is true - the spoiler only worked off the button - but when you filled the car up with petrol and immediately accelerated up past 45 it would raise. I even stopped the car and left the engine running then went up past 45 again and it wouldn't raise again! Weird. I swear to god that there's some kinda voodoo that controls the spoiler!
  11. I had a deer skip in front of me as I was doing 80mph in my (sorry about this) MkIV Escort XR3i (which was lowered 60mm and had three passengers in it - making it about a nanometer off the deck!). It came from out of nowhere at night and I only had time to feel my anal sphincter contract let alone even swear. It just missed us by centimetres - if we had hit it then I reckon the car would have just disintegrated. Scary!
  12. Keep it - if you want it to live long then only you can try and keep that promise. New owner could wrap it - it's a Corrado and it's a Storm and let's face it - you'd miss it! 8)
  13. Would the spoiler not stay up as the engine cut out during the accident?
  14. Ice - did you add the red VR badge to the front to code it with the rear Storm badge? Never seen a Storm wearing a red VR badge as all would have had the silver grill one as standard.
  15. Hey guys - know this will have been covered before - but I've been experiencing some weird central locking problems and removed a door pin which I need to fit back on - anyone got any easy fix soultions? Am I better just removing the whole door card? If so - do I just basically pop off the electric window button then undo the screws and bobs my uncle? Cheers
  16. Well guys went out and it just opened fine off of the key fob! Weird! Door pin is still disconnected though. Will have to sort that. Cheers anyway. G
  17. thanks for the advice guys - will try all these things before ripping the door off!
  18. Hey guys - just went to drive round to my folks for Sunday dinner and opened my car off of the fob and couldn't get in the driver's door. Tried again thinking I'd locked it instead of unlocking it and still couldn't get in. Tried the key and the door pin moved up but only a little and the door was still locked. Got in - clambered over the handbrake and put down the window - tried to pull up the door pin to no avail. So I unscrewed it - and now it wont go back on. Can't see a bloody thing as it's so dark. I've heard of this happening before - anyone got any bright ideas about how I can get the sodding door open? I'm super frustrated, Cheers much G
  19. Well I guess that solves the mystery of fitting a steering wheel!
  20. Are you invisible Spence? I see a wheel but no driver!
