Ticking/Rattle after new engine mounts + oil change etc
keystarG60 replied to carpoid's topic in Engine Bay
Hi Matt I had a similar experience before my power steering pump failed. For days i was trying to find the source of a ticking sound. I was convinced that it was the alternator until the pump failed. Hope this helps dude. -
Really friendly company The kit is especially made to fit the G60 http://www.pitstopdevelopments.com/intercoolers.htm
-
Pitstop have developed a kit where no cutting is involved, sounds cheaper aswell

I notice that adding a new rear bar only is the preferred set up for vr owners. But is same true for the G60 owners??

Im afraid police only usually get involved if there are injuries or if the other driver failed to stop. In this situation they are likely to refer you both to your insurance co's -

Ok thats good to know. My only concern now is that it looks a bit too glossy. Not quite OEM if you know what i mean. -
Before i order one, can you tell me what the fit was like. Did the quality meet your expectations?? If not what are the alternatives? Ta

'Cash in leiu of repairs' is the phrase that descibes g60bv's above suggestion. Ask your insurance company about it.

Oh right. What does AG stand for? Sounds like its worth a try. Thanks Ive tried regular car shampoo, and a so called rubber cleaning product (cant remember the name of it)
-
As a general rule, if cost of repairs exceed 60% of the market value of the car then the car would be considered a total loss.

The rubber seal surrounding the rear quarter glass is stained with green marks. Looks horrible in some places. Looks like its mould or the remains of some car loving moss. Is there a cure for this disease? I've tried shifting it with elbow grease but it looks like its penetrated the rubber. Help

My G60's always had a rattle (sounds like it comes from under the car,not engine bay) when i pull away forwards when the car is running from cold. Only hear it for a fraction of a second then it's gone I've been told that it's to do with the abs. Is this true? It never bothered me in the past, but recently the abs light has been coming on at the exact same time as the rattle. The rattle stops but the light remains on. Never hear the rattle as i reverse the c down my drive. Only when pulling forwards. I know bugger all about abs. Maybe someone can give some insight? Ta

How many of us have near original spec Corrados?
keystarG60 replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
From the word go, i decided to always keep the interior and exterior completely unchanged. I think that the Corrado generally attracts a certain type of owner who tend to leave the exterior untouched. Its a great piece of design. The idea of compromising the lines of the car, say for example, to accommodate crazy rims is a little silly to me, but hey many will disagree. The only change to mine is the ride height. -30mm.
