Hi Dave Is there a way we can work out which are the right ones for the G60?

Thanks Jon_vr6 It was the spoiler fuse!! I didnt realise that it was also the fuse for the ABS light Now fixed
-
No The light is permanently off But its an MOT fail because it should flash when you start the ignition Andrew

My G60 has failed it's MOT because the ABS light doesnt come on (and then go off) on start up. Ive tried a brand new ABS light unit, tried an ABS ECU from another G60 that doesnt have this fault, and ive checked the ABS fuses. Still no joy tho! Where should i look next? The MOT clock is ticking so all tips are welcome Thanks Andrew

Hi Just wondering if he has his own premises these days or if he is trading in any capacity. If so, can somebody supply a contact number? If not, then who is considered the go to guy for charger rebuilds these days? Andy

Hi I wondered about the ariel seal but assumed the water would emerge rear of the sunroof Good idea to open it before setting off. The only other thing i can think of is that I had a new windscreen fitted a month ago, but i dismissed it as a factor because of where the water is and because there was a minor leak in the same area before the new screen anyway

Hi This has got me stumped. When i get in the car after heavy rain the headlining appears dry. But after I drive away (and particularly after i stop at junctions or go around a corner) lots of water drips in through the blind below the sunroof and also at the side of the headlining at the top of the A-pillars on both sides. I've checked all four sunroof drain channels and they arent blocked. Water flows freely. And cant see any other obvious problems. A new OEM sunroof seal has been fitted in the last few months and looks fine (although i appreciated that the seal isnt meant to prevent all water coming in). Please please come to my rescue!! Andrew

Thanks alot! I'll try replacing the switch Cheers

Hi everyone From time to time, as im slowing to stop, the nearside window will wind down of it own accord. I can usually just put it back up again using the switch, but sometimes I have to use the full closure button on my key fob to close it because the switch temporarily wont work. This only happens as im coming to a standstill. Any ideas?

As above Must be in fair condition as i plan to refurbish it. I am willing to collect depending on location (I travel a fair bit). Alternatively I will pay postage costs. Thanks a million Andrew

Hi Problem is with the O/S, windows are electric It still goes up and down using the switch but stops short The distance between the top of the glass and the seal is just a couple of mm I can close the window completely by lifting it with my hands Whats the diagnosis? Andrew

I used Mark at Suffolk Alarm Systems to fit an Autowatch system over a year ago and always meant to praise this guy sooner. He operates a mobile service. Prior to meeting him he made it clear he doesn't compromise when it comes to the alarms he stocks. He is clearly very very experienced and mentioned that he also trains other fitters. When he arrived to do the job, he was courteous, approachable and answered any questions I had very thoroughly. A year and a half later and his installation is still working perfectly. He particularly impressed me when I called him for advice on a related matter some time later and was still ultra helpful. His website http://www.suffolkalarms.co.uk/ Andrew

Sunroof refurbishment - diagnosis and what parts?
keystarG60 replied to keystarG60's topic in Interior
Thanks, thought that might me the case. I just called the dealer to order a new mech but the guy said that the mech doesnt come as one single part so i would need to know which bits to order. Is this right? -
Hi It slides back fine and tilts up fine but when you tilt it back down to close it, the interior panel (the headlining) is pushed away from its place beneath the sunroof panel and stops the roof being closed. Can you guys tell me what the problem is and what parts im likely to need before i tackle this? Also. any other parts i should replace while im in there? Thanks Andrew

Hi He's a mobile fitter that seem ultra friendly on the phone but have no experience of his work or after sales service. Seems like he uses Autowatch alarms which i know are popular. All feedback welcome Ta!

Hi I was in a similar position to you when i moved into my place 4 years ago - living alone in my own place etc. There was no way i was gonna sell the Corrado but i had to accept that i would need to manage my finances well. As a result I set up a monthly direct debit to pay £50 into a seperate account to take care of any bills above and beyond the normal running costs in case of an emergency. You soon get used to the money leaving your account as if it was any other kind of bill. And at the end of the year you have a lump sum to splash out on other non essential work. Andrew
