Hi guys My other half bought her first car the otherday. It has already cut out on her a couple of times. I have checked it over and the only thing I can find at present is some water in the oil... Possible head gasket. I shall be checking the coolant with a sniffer later. And will be checking the condition of the battery too. If it turns out to be faulty where do I actually stand. The warranty states any repair undertaken will be 50/50 split. Is there anything I can do about this? Is there any time frame where they are legally obliged to take the car back if it turns out to be faulty... Head gasket etc??

Do all of the above. Cover as much of the surrounding area that isn't being welded to avoid any stray splashes
-
strut braces upper and lower if you dont already have them... especially as youre going up the top end of the g60 bhp range
-
yes racks do wear... there is some adjustment in them (theres a thread on here somewhere about doing it) although i would check all the other parts before going for a rack due to the cost and theyre a pain to get out
-
for the looseness there are a few things to check... lower ball joints inner and outer track rods droplinks top mounts. CV joints basically everything to do with the suspension and steering... an hour or so on a ramp or over a pit and usually you will find the culprit

Not new but very good condition. Will try to upload a pic when I have better signal
-
A couple of sets of non script ones
-
Do you require them with or without the corrado script??
-
I have one with no cracks if your interested
-
I have one of these going spare as I have gone to a solid tensioner. £35 posted sound good to you
-
The bolts and braided line are available from jabba sport about £35 will cover all the bits you need. Or ARZ tuning will be able to provide them
-
They are definitely the same for 4 cylinder engines. I replaced mine with one from an early 16v and had no issues.

pull either the king lead or the hall sender connector on the side of the distributor both stop any spark so are the easiest routes. or pull the ecu relay should be numbered either 30 or 32 will also stop you getting a spark

hope this one holds out for you

Did you track any down? I have the full set with all clips intact

Wanted : info or metal wire clips for Recaro seat bases
owen g60 replied to winchbietch's topic in Wanted
ETKA lists the same seat base for both types of seat then has a different back rest for the recaro ones -
Wanted : info or metal wire clips for Recaro seat bases
owen g60 replied to winchbietch's topic in Wanted
as far as i can tell from ETKA these parts are universal for all front seats on corrados and MK2s (probably more)... Part Number: N 0152611 or 867885447 I would check with the dealers or get down to a scrappy and go pillaging -
venom motorsport supply the complete SWG kits. Maybe if you contact SWG directly they may be able to help
