I advanced a lot the timing! Now the car is running much better! I felt the knocking and the a retarded a bit! It worked just fine! I love the G60 driving now! And the muffler is not so noisy! No more popping when i shift down the gears! But now the MFA (in the hidden mode) shows a boost of 74 at idle (normal values should be between 84 -104 readings). And the it shows less expense fuel! What does this mean? The car is running good! What can i do for this? :?

I think the best way to adjust the Co2 Pot is at ambient temperature. So, with the engine cold! I did it to mine like that... On the outer 2 pins at cold adjust to get 500 ohms! The engine is working great! :)

Let me advice you... A Bosch Silver would do a perfect work even is those frozen mornings! A have got one with a cappacity of 64 Ah. Not expensive at all!

The reading of MFA Fuel is done by vaccum! There is a hose that comes out of the back of the speedometer and goes to the engine bay. If you have a vaccum leak (pherhaps a broken pipe) you would get faulty readings! Lately i have been setting up the ignition timing of my 1990 G60 to the maximum time before i feel knocking / pinging. I saw that the value of vaccum (showed in the MFA 2 in the hidden mode) decreased to about 74! Which should be normal to get values between 84 - 104 readings. Could this be a problem? Before this a was having 88 readings! I still noticed that now the fuel reading is not the same! It shows less fuel expense! And i don´t believe in that! So i wonder... How efficient could the MFA readings be? Curiosity, i advanced a lot my ignition timing because with standart timing 6deg +/- 1 the car was slow as hell! And now it´s quicker of the line! You can notice the difference! Now the muffler is not poping any more! And now the motor looks like a swiss clock! I am using 95 RON from Shell. Is something rong with i have done? If so... Advice me!

HI! My 1990 G60 started some days ago showing incorrect fuel consumptions on the MFA, and sometimes is shows 0,0 Liters/km when i am on the road! This have never happened before, then suddenly appears 35 Liters/Km (example). The problem is the same in the MFA 1 and in MFA 2. On the idle (in hidden mode of the MFA with instant comsumptions) it shows 1,6 Liters/Km wich is normal, but then start fluctuating with 21LPM, 13LPM, 43 LPM, then it shows 0,0 LPM and so... On the road it´s the same thing (abnormal consumptions). So strange! I don´t understand what is happening! How does the ECU makes the calculation of the fuel? Does it have a probe after the gas pump? Could it be the wiring? Can somebody help me please? :?:

My G60 runs quite good as being an original (no tuning parts). But sometimes i hear the intake/exaust valves very noisy, even with the engine warmed up! Then suddenly they stop and start again... This car has got hydraulic valves (no maintnence right?) I know that noisy engines are not healty engines... I am worried! What can i do for this? I have already checked the igniton timing, I am using high quality fuel 98 RON. Can somebody help me? *mod edit - Bold doesn't work in thread titles! - Henny *

I always use 95 RON good quality gas! How much timing advance can i get in my 1990 Corrado G60 without knocking or detonation? I have a timing light to do it, so i guess it it would be easy to set it!

According to the G60 owner´s manual, everyone should use Semi syntetic 10w-40 for medium temperatures, for colder temperatures 5w-40. For example: Portugal and Spain should use 15w-40 for true engine safety in summer! Of course you can use fully syntetic also! (better). I always use Shell Helix Ultra Syntetic 15w-40 and i am very satisfied! Very high quality oil! :)

Hi! I am hardly looking for the Bentley G60 Manual on CD-ROM..........Just tell how much it is! Thanks! **Mod Edit. Sorry but we can't condone piracy through the forum. Look on Ebay as there are copies on there all the time. VR6

I am hardly looking for the Bentley Cd-Rom Manual. It is very difficult here in Portugal, almost nobody has a Corrado G60. **Mod Edit. Sorry but we can't condone piracy through the forum. Look on Ebay as there are copies on there all the time. VR6

I have the same reading in my 90 G60! What does it mean? I do have a vacuum reading of 2800 in 3rd gear almost reaching the redline! Is it possible? I bought this car just a month ago... And it is not tunned (i think) Is this a god meaning?
