Its not just main dealers that have to, all "trade" used car sellers have to do it too. I'd give em a ring to make sure, but I'm pretty convinced that's correct.

I used autocheck from experian. It includes outstanding finance which apparently lots don't. Prices are all pretty much the same throughout. If its from a dealer though, they are required to provide you with a report by law, although I'm not sure of the details so not sure what would be included in their reports. :thumbleft:

I got one from a dealer before too. It was a rattle can and it was around £15, but you only get 150ml of base coat and lacquer. It was for my Dragon Green Golf3 and it wasn't a very good match, but I think it was simply because it was in a rattle can, and the metallic particles were much closer together for some reason. That coupled with it being older paintwork made it seem much lighter than the original paint. I got DBP from Paints4u after recommendations, and the match was perfect. Its about £24 but you get 500ml of primer and lacquer, and 400ml of base coat, as well as a bit of wet and dry and G3 rubbing paste. I did my A pillars in it, and was extremely happy with the outcome. :smug:

Well you should have seen the back, and that didn't have any on! :shocked!::lol:

You'll show em a true beauty mate! Just seen the pics of the laminex'd headlights, maybe a bit too much I think. Here is my old DBP Valver with a bit of laminex. Don't laugh, these are the only two pics I have with it on!!!! Ok, not strictly on in the second photo! I've still got a fair bit left, so I'm gonna do the fogs on the VR and see how that looks too.

Why didn't you paint the firewall and other areas that are the original colour when everything was out? Looks a bit of a mixiblob of colours now...............
-
If its original paint, paints4u are a very good match both from personal experience, and from what others have said mate. They do a good range too. :thumbleft:

They do look very good indeed!........................

Cheers Stone, makes sense as the cable goes to the ignition barrel sensor ring! Cheers. Anyone have any idea about the Diagnostics port wiring though?????????

Hi all, I've taken my dash out to sort all the wiring etc, and noticed what I think is the wiring for the OBD port, but it terminates at this box below. Is this correct? and if not, where is it supposed to go/what is supposed to be connected to it? Also, what is the other module next to the spoiler control if anyone knows? Thanks!

In the wiki section. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?51125-Spoiler-motor-cleaning-and-repair

Is the engine still turning over when it doesnt start?

Too high? Offers?

Pretty mainstream I suppose, but I absolutely love everything by Rudimental at the moment, and I mean everything! Its very rare that one release after another after another produces the same spine tingling feeling for me, so hopefully it continues!

Still not finished! Got most of the wiring sorted today, although don't really have any phots. (They're boring anyway!) Took the airbox out and changed the matrix too, although it was valeo vw one with a manufacture date of 12/08 so was obviously pretty recently done. Oh well, changed it out anyway, and sorted the holes in the vents and the draught foam thing as well. It was all nice and free when I checked it, then put the dash back in, checked it again, and they're stiff as F*** again! Got fed up, so binned it off and came home. Will deal with it another day. Just gotta sort the speaker wiring out now then hopefully I'm done. One last thing, does anyone know if this first pic is right? It looks to be the wiring coming from the OBD port, but it looks like it terminates at this box............... Thats it for now. Next up is finishing off the wiring, then on to mechanicals. First off I'm gonna raise it up a bit, sort the brakes and handbrake cable, then change the thermostat and rocker cover, before changing all fluids and filters etc, then turn my attention to making it look good!

I was in Homebase earlier and stumbled upon this................................... Much too big, but perhaps worth looking for one online in the correct size if available?.............

Cheers Dave, hopefully it'll be back to a decent standard within the next few months - starting tomorrow. Been given permission to spend the day on it, so hopefully electrics will be back to some semblance of order. Only had a couple of hours on it on Tuesday, but dash is all out and wiring ready to be attacked! Also bought a new Matrix from GSF today, I was expecting a Valeo was it? (OE), so bought the Premium one which turned out to be Hella. No bother, still a reputable company so hopefully should be ok. Will pick up some insulation foam and reflective tape from B&Q in the morning too after seeing EnthusiastOwned post on repair, as half the foam is missing on mine so I'll do it all properly before refitting. More pics tomorrow!

VW rule - I'm just going from second hand info tbh, as its all over the mk3 section on GolfGTIForum. I know this as when I bought my old Golf3 it was fitted with a "wet" panel filter, and the MAF was dead so I asked the questions. Its also reported quite alot on there with the 2.0 8v ady/agg engines using different type MAFs as well (siemens/bosch).

Excellent, thanks guys! :thumbleft:

Anyone know what this is called so I can order/search for a new one. (Or have one lying around they don't need..............) Thanks!
-
I don't think the whole idea was to increase downforce tbh. Its a gimmick that helped sell the car during production imo. Bugger about the difference between early and late though, I picked up an early one yesterday to replace my late one. I'll check it all out tomorrow when I'm with the car again.
-
DONT get the older type "wet" filter that you have to oil. It will kill your MAF! The newer type K&N panel filters don't require oiling, this is what you want to go for mate.

I'll throw this one out there, although not a more door......................................................Another Corrado!

As title, Contitech Kit bought in May last year to fit the the old valver. Unfortunately in June before I had chance to fit it, the chopper in the Range Rover totalled the car. Been in the cupboard ever since. Box is a little bit worn from storage but not bad at all, parts are all as you'd expect being new. As in pic, paid over £35 from ECP with 25% discount, and offering at £20 to your door! The photocopy of the receipt will be included for you, as the original receipts went with the car when it was broken for parts. Payment by Paypal Gift preferably, but if your wary then payment by "goods" is fine if you pick up the fee. Will be posted within 24 hours Royal Mail 2nd Class. Any questions, fire away! Cheers!
