Just looked up the guide on the wiki section surely you can do it without taking the drivers seat out? Also looks like I've cocked up buying the switch off ebay, should of brought genuine

I never thought about that stuff. Should be good stuff I've used it before to hold number plates on and it was pretty hard to remove the plate so I'll give that a go if I have no luck at BS Thanks

Well the tape I've got and used for the smaller strips has proved useless, found the small N/S/F strip on the floor by the car this morning. Trip to B S Supplies (bodyshop wholesaler) tomorrow to see what they've got pretty sure they are 3M stockists

That fuse is for the permanent feed for the radio stone and is fine, got a permanent feed on from that. It's just the ignition feed that's dead. Do you know how hard or easy it is to remove and replace the ignition barrel? And how did you find out about the fuse working loose? :)

Thanks dumptyboy I'll take a look at changing all of them as mine is the same as yours as well. I've also noticed that someone has bridged the brown/red wire on the big round multiplug on the engine and done a really bad job of it (stripped insulation and twisted the bridging wire onto it with no insulation) so I'm wondering if that could be the cause too

Really need some help and advice on this I've tried everything I can think of. Drove the car back from Southend and it was quite lumpy all the way back. Its had new coil pack, new bosch plugs and leads. It's got a brand new bosch battery too I've checked the oil and water and there is no trace of oil in water or vice versa. I've put injector cleaner in with the fuel when I topped up. The problem is mostly on tick over it seems to be missing and when driving if I put my foot down it seems to go asthough its got a cylinder down then picks up and runs smooth. I gave the plugs a good clean yesterday (although they were pretty clean anyway) and its made no difference. I wondering if the coil pack is faulty or if there is a problem with the injectors. I've ordered a ecu to engine and ijector to ecu loom (the one with the big round plug) from a member on here as the previous owner thought that the one on the car was abit dodgey. I'm running out of ideas as to what could be causing it. Has anyone had this problem or a similar one so they could advise me where to look next, or does anyone have a clue what the cause could be? All help greatly appreciated Thanks in advance Neil

Just fitted a sony stereo to the C but I'm getting no feed from the brown/red wire from the ignition barrel. How hard is it to change the connection plug at the back of the barrel as this seems to be the problem as the continuity on the brown/red wire is good. I'm assuming the contacts in the back of the ignition switch are worn

Had a brain wave yesterday with the rubbing strips from the door after I'd soaked them and removed the sticky stuff from the back of them I was left with rubbing strips that weren't straight. So put the heating on full blast and put the strips on the top of the convectors on a radiator. This made them go really soft and floppy but turned the heating off and left the strips where they were. This morning got up and the strips are now straight as a die and slightly darker too just got get some peanut butter now see if revives them abit more.

No problem :thumbleft:

Had 17" BBS on my last VR and it was a comfy ride although it did have standard suspension so that might of helped. Although I have had 17" on others too with coilovers and the ride was also good in them. I suppose it depends on tyres and the quality of the coilovers what kind of ride you get. Sometimes I think losing the car more give a better ride with coilovers as the spring becomes less compressed than if the car was only lowered a small amount (sorry for swaying off topic there)

They are H4 for the dipped and main beam and there is also a seperate bulb for spots which I think is H3 (bulb with a tail) hope this helps. I brought some 5000k H4 off ebay which where £1.99 a pair delivered from china, they are brilliant (be even better with loom upgrade) got them in my fireblade too and they give a crisp bright light going get the H3 type for spots and fogs from them too
