Sorted  It was my slave cylinder at fault, got the car up on ramps and fluid was dripping from the bell housing. New slave fitted clutch is fine now, luckily the fluid hasn't got onto the clutch plates too bad so no slipping

I'm in stoke-on-trent or i would of taken you up on the offer to try the bits you have. Never noticed the diameter of the hole on the fuel reg I've still got the original so I'll put that back in as that defo aint the problem. Ive had new crank sensor fitted and its made no difference. So today I've taken the plugs out again and checked them all were good except for No'1 which was abit black and slightly wet so I cleaned it and refitted it but still ran the same. Then I thought I'd remove the lead from that plug and it remained the same so now I'm suspecting the No'1 plug lead is knackered.

NICE :thumbleft:

Just a thought are the thrust bearings in the vr6 concentric type slave cylinder, as the thrust bearing was noisey with the pedal pressed down when I brought the car?
-
Thanks dumptyboy I tried to reply to your thread but it kept saying I was 2 characters short on my post and wouldn't post anything. I'll get the slave cylinder first know where there is a B4 passat so might go see if its got a decent master cylinder on it just incase slave doesn't work. Least if slave does work i'll have a spare master :thumbleft:

I've just gone to my car after a short 4 day break and the pedal is on the floor. Could anyone tell me if this is going to be the master or the slave cylinder? I've had a quick look round the pedal box and can't see any sign of fluid in the foot well or around the pedal box so I'm hoping it's going to be slave cylinder. If I'm right could anyone tell me how easy/hard it is to replace?

Grey g60 on avenida de pio, Valencia. By the expo hotel. Looked mint especially in the 31° :-)

Got an absolute bargain today at the scrap yard. Went to see if I could get a power steering pipe for the step daughters polo was surprised to see a B4 passat with a nice shiny moonroof which was quickly removed and purchased for the measly sum of £20 lovely smooth tilt and slide motion on the mech. Going give it a clean up and a greasing so it's 110% before it goes into the C. I never got round to getting the polo part of gone for :bonk:

Not sure this is in the right place but I'm looking to swap my all red rear lights for some smoked m3 style. Must be in good condition as mine are mint. Would consider offers as I do have originals to fit while I find some that I'm after. Contact me on 07446815574 Thanks Neil

Just got back from having the C plugged in to a code reader came up with 00513 engine speed sensor G28 no signal when not running but also when is was running. Looks like this could be the issue so I'll be fitting one on thursday when I finish my nights and hopefully it will be sorted

Called into the local bodyshop wholesaler yesterday. They advised tiger seal would be the best thing to use. So tube of that, roll of masking tape and some panel wipe and off home to fit the rubbing strips back on. Here are some pics now they are fitted and cleaned up with peanut butter Car needs a good clean I know

As long as you've got the tyres fitted in the right direction of travel you shouldn't have a problem. If they are running in the wrong direction then you'll get problems. should be an arrow on the wall of the tyre to tell you which direction the are supposed to be travelling in.

Welcome to the forum. Is this the storm that was on Ebay not long ago?

Ok so I fitted a 4 bar fuel reg this morning and it ran like a dream took it for a run but after about 10 miles the problem came back :bonk: Could this be because the 4 bar is too much pressure or should I now be looking elsewhere?

Not sure if these will be any good to anyone out there But I have 2x Goodyear NCT5 run flat 225/50/17 tyres and also 2x BCT (budget) 225/45/17 tyres. All 4 are in excellent condition with approx 6-7mm of tread on them. I'm asking £45 each for the Goodyears (over £150 new)and £25 each for the budget ones (approx £80 new) Pictures show Goodyears first then the budgets. 07446 815574 for more info Thanks neil
