I've just taken a MK3 golf cartridge out of mine and fitted a moonroof from a B4 passat The golf cartridge fitted fine and just had the rado panel fitted
-
If it's the mk2 ibiza (which i think it should be that year) it will fit I fitted a glass one to one of my rados a few years ago and it fitted perfectly

If you've got a complete working mech all you need to do is swap the panel it's only 4 pins (2 each side) if you wind your roof right back you will see them on the mech (you can see one in your pic you've posted) easy to swap but fiddly to line up and get to sit flat

No not leather just cloth very clean though with no rips or tears. Got coilovers waiting to go on and a de-cat stainless scorpion system too. Then the only thing left I want to do is rear lights and a decent head unit

All corrados had steel roofs as standard. The moonroof will be from a B3/4 passat or mk2 Seat Ibiza. If the roof is lifting at speed something is wrong with how its been fitted has it been adjusted to sit flush with the roof panel of the car? The sliding panel is manual to let the light in from the glass roof. I've just fitted a moon roof to mine some pics in members gallery

Stoke-on-Trent doesn't usually effect people enough to go out and buy a car. Unless the car you drove up in was stolen :bonk: -
I've got mine from KMS car parts on ebay only £22 compared to the £46 that vw were asking and its just as good quality as the original vw ones

Hi dumptyboy are you still doing this project? Would like green controls with the blue red temp like everyone else if you are please.

Just thought I'd add a few pics of my car and a couple of things I've done since I brought it. As it was when I got her. 15" steel wheels and a very leaky sunroof. Paint was bad where previous owner had taken the rubbing strips off. So I decided to refit t he strips. Got a moonroof from a B4 Passat saloon at the local scrap yard for £20. Spent a few hours fitting it the other day and getting it sitting right so it didn't leak. Picked up a set of TT Comps yesterday and fitted a badgeless grille I got off Ebay for £4 (still not sure I like it, might look better once I've colour coded it)

Got to take my hat off to you mate that is an amazing transformation from what it looked like at the start. Have you checked all the relays on the fuse box? Could be fuel pump relay not working
-
Coil pack. Plus switched the two Blue wires over on the large round plug from the ecu.

This is all sorted now runs like a dream LOVING IT!!!!

What year is your valver I have got some early clocks you can have if you want them? Collect from stoke if you do

Have had a good look at this today and had the tape measure out from what I can see the rim will stick out 15mm past the arch on the front. Even with stretched rubber on your going to catch your arches. That means your going to have over 20mm sticking out past the arch on your C mate
-
Thanks just had a look on the link looks like the wheels will stick out an extra 41mm which I'm pretty sure will make the fronts sick out too far like Cazza says. With a zero offset you'll be getting a extra 59mm sticking out on our car
-
I've seen some BMW wheels which have an offset of 38 to fit them to my corrado I'll need adaptors which are 20mm thick. Does this mean the offset will then be 18 with the adapter fitted and will this work with my vr6? Rims are 17" 8j

If Sam doesn't take them I'll have second dibs on them please. PM me if deal falls through

Drive from Stoke to Oxford and back the other day M6 M5 M42 M40 didn't see a single other C all the way there and back :-(

Thanks that will explain why the car ain't starting since renewing the plug terminals. Obviously got the blues the wrong way round when reconnecting. Thanks again for the info it's much appreciated

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the large round multi pin plug in the engine bay on a late VR6 please. There are two blue wires on there I need to identify (they are both the same colour with no other markings)
-
There are two wires Yes only one is Blue

UPDATE!!! A kind member on here lent me a coil pack and the problem was solved. So picked up a second hand Bosch one on ebay less than 12 months old and guaranteed working. This was sent via hermes who left it outside the front of my house for it to be stolen :shocked!: I've also had the large round loom plug replaced as the contacts in the old one were badly corroded this has also made a difference but now when the engine is warm the car struggles to start. The only thing I can say is different is that when the wires were reconnected there were 2 blue wires that we were unsure about Does anyone know what these are to? I think one goes to the blue coolant sensor but not got a clue where the other goes to.

I'd try your coil pack (small square pack with single lead to dizzy) Know its a different car but I had an 8v which the coil pack failed on and it wouldn't start at all. Won't show on vagcom and soon as I fitted a new coil it fired straight in, worth a try and alot cheaper than the later type coil packs

Love these cars I'm on my 5th now :smug: Look forward to seen your pics
