have just bought myself a proper hands frees system the nokia cark91 on e-bay for £40, i use to have one of these in my company car, much better quality than the cheep plug and play versions out there. Comes with a proper cradle, separate speak and mic and aerial. Nokia have also just put the price of these units up to £150. Get one now on ebay !!!

I tested quite a few b4 i got my little beauty, i would say that it is mostly in the drive of the car and the overall tidyness of the motor. I drove a few newer models that drove like dogs with less miles on the one i have now. Make sure they have full SH and have had cam belt, gasket's, chargers etc looked at. Don't be afriad to keep going back to look at one car and drive it as much as you can to the extent of p1ssing off the owner, you wonna be able to buy and walk away with that feel goof feeling of buy in a minter!

Hahaha yep do it all the time especially when you have got some little boy racer behind you in a nova or a scooby and your about to burn him off at the lights!

Have you taken the car for a test drive and have you test driven any other corrados? I would personal test drive as many rados as possible to get a feel for the them and the differences in their engines. When I was looking I came across a right minter on a M plate with full VW service history but it drove like a right dog compared to the K plate beauty that I have now that’s literally been to Mars and back!

Cheers Dubster28 yeah i do like your lights very much, i'm also thinking of taking the black rubber door strip off but i'm scared if i do i will end up not like in it. I have heard of a company called GPC, do you know if they have a web site or a contact number, as i'm after a few bits and bobs!

Did a deal with the garage, they had the tsw's in there show room for a while and had put them on a car to sell, but who ever bought the car didn't want the wheels. So they stuck them on mine to test out the car once fixed, as they where finding it difficult to source the momo gt2's and i would have had to wait about a month to get them. So they let me have the 4 newish tsw's with new tyres for the same price as it was going to cost me for 2 new gt2 momo's, which was £350 + vat bargin!!! :D

Eleanor the little minx! Hello every1, well you have all by now from the last post, have met Eleanor. She’s been away from me for the past two weeks visiting our local Volkservice after having fitted a new wishbone, ball joint, anti-roll link, new drive shaft, and 4 new 17in TSW alloys and tyres! All of this from the result of some “bean head” in a blue Vauxhall Corsa jumping a red light, me swerving to miss it and then literally ploughing through/up a curb at 50mph . However all is not lost as the police finally court up with the bean head, and he’s f**ked for a) jumping a red light and b) for leaving the seen of an accident. The total cost for all work done inc vat and brand new wheels and tyres came to £635, not bad at all! Tho I have now got just two spare 17in Momo GT2 alloys, not sure want I want to do with them yet maybe sell them on ebay or just try and get hold of an other two as they are apparently like rocking horse sh!t to get hold of ! Any way hope you like the new pics……

What are you on about "thekingster", now take two steps back from the LSD and walk away, thew...! I'm sorry but i just don't see it, Corrados that look like volvo 440's! But then again when i look at my rado and other peoples i always view them with rose coloured glasses on! :lol:

Thanks for the help guys, I have managed to sort out the brake lamp problem, I just bleed the brake fluid and it was full of crap!, gave the sensors a good clean and filled her with dot4, problem sorted no warning lamp on any more! I’m taking the car into Dubsport this weds for a full check over and a new throttle cable so I will let you all know how I get on.

I did from Sunny Blackpool to junk 12 on the good old M6 in 45mins got her up to 130 and she was flowing like the wind, just shat me pants coz of all the bloody speed traps that there are now, well it's been over 2weeks and i haven't had any lovely speeding letters through me door as of yet! 8)

My car is always the one parked miles away from the supermarket entrance all on it's todd, and then low-and-behold, there's cars next to it when you come out again! Kev Why is that always the same when you go to the cinema, you try to sit away from every1 else and low and behold people then start to sit right next to you when they can choose to sit in any of the other empty seats in the bloody place! I think that old people shouldn't be aloud to drive after the age of 75

Stormeseeker pm when you get your Rado back, I was in Southport a few weeks back now on a night out, some very lovely ladies in Southport indeed but just don't let on to the other two ladies in my life, Eleanor and the misses that I said that!!!

I have got a 2.0L 16v and have noticed on cold starts that the car some times requires a little gas to get it going when i turn it over, i know that i shouldn't be doing this so can any1 suggest what i need to do to fix the problem. Also on some cold starts i have experienced a lack/delay in power from the car when I put me foot down! does this all sound like its fuel related. Please any advice of where to start looking to sort these problems out would be much appreciated. Also the brake system warning lamp comes on/flickers when I boot it, there appears to be brake fluid in the system and the brake work perfectly fine any ideas people????

lol ok dubboy I’ll take your word on that 1. I have booked Eleanor in at Dubsport this weds for a check over and a new throttle cable, I was just concerned cos the guy that answered the phone at Dubsport was a bit of a drip and didn't sound like he wanted my business! But we shall see, if they do a good job on fitting me throttle cable and don’t take the p1ss when checking the car over and try telling me it needs a shed load of cash spending on her when she doesn’t then I probably use them for servicing and MOT. Will keep you all informed on the job they do. I just think that these days its really hard to find a decent garage that doesn’t try taking the p1ss and doing a shoddy job.
