I think the head will go on but you will need the rods/pistons from the 20v too. The vortex forum is your best bet, i think there are a few guys in the US that have done it. Baz

Do you know what voltage the universal sensors work on? I think the g60 and most vw`s are 1.2v max and most other manufacturers use 1.5v Baz
-
Thanks Funky, will price up a vw probe and see what price they have thought up. Baz

Hi Folks, I think the heater on my lambda probe is packing up, i have an air fuel gauge and the fuelling is only cycling when i drive the car hard or on the motorway, also mpg is down. Can anyone recommend where i can get a new one as GSF don`t do one and it seems it may be a main dealer only part $$$$$ $$$$$ anyone ever used one of the universal probes? cheers Barrie

I disconnected my blue sensor and the revs went "up" from 750 to 900 ish, I wound the screw in on the throttle body until the idle dropped to about 750 rpm then reconnected the sensor. The car feels better in traffic now smoother and less jerky when coming on and off the throttle, will see if it has any effect on the power problem though. Barrie

This is exactly the same as my car is doing, have tried various things and not made any difference. I do think i have narrowed things down a bit though, it seems to be heat related as when i have been driving in traffic and then get out on the dual carriageway it will do it but after i have been at speed for a bit and some air has cooled that crappy little intercooler down the car will be ok, i guess this could be the ecu retarding the ignition timing ??? I don`t hear any pinking though and my air fuel gauge and boost gauge don`t show any different readings. I have a 68mm pulley and sns chip with pressure regulator. The car has only started doing this in the hot weather this summer, when did your problems start Lozboz? Am hoping to sort out a front mount soon so will see if that makes the problem go away. Baz

I heard that the 16v mk3 ratios are the same as the 1.8T box. Baz

Be interested to see how it works Olly, i have a PB cam sat in my garage. Baz

The one sat on my bonnet (red one) was much nicer than she looks in the picture, the blonde one was lurvly though.

here is another pic of mine and a mates corrado taken this weekend which i thought you guys might like. :-P Baz

I would have loved a set of the cronos but i tried everywhere and nobody had any left in 4 stud fitting. :( if nothing else they would have been easier to clean  I think the leggera is a nice compromise though and a bit lighter than the crono. Baz

You have no taste Kev but i admire your honesty Baz :)

thanks for doing the photshop Jim, looks cool 8)
-
Brian, what offset are your crono`s? ET37? are you using any wheel spacers as my tyres just touch the inner arches on full lock. cheers Barrie

I think i`ll leave well alone, she handles nicely as she is and i`m not 21 anymore  does look cool that bit lower tho
-
Thanks for the positive feedback guys, not sure if i should lower it a touch more though  will try and get some more pics done this weekend and post em up. cheers Baz

He`s the pot man alright  he looks like Neil off the young ones

After not being able to get hold of the now extinct OZ cronos, just a quick pic of my new 17" OZ leggeras, what do ya reckon? Lowered around 60mm with FK coilovers. Baz

Cheers Henny, it`s about due for a belt anyway so i may as well do it now and check that is all ok. I just read in pvw mag, in the problem page about g60 crank bolts, awesome say they replace the pulley and bolt when they do a full service now. Baz
-
Have checked everything i can think of in the engine bay and it all seems ok, car just seems to have lost that instant go it had before :( Is there anyway of checking if the crank pulley has moved without taking it all off? Baz
-
I did check the one to the ecu and all was fine, i`ll check the others tmrw and see, hope you are right Henny :| Baz

Hi Folks, out in the G today and got onto the dual carriage way, nailed it in third gear, got to about 4000 rpm and the car seemed to lose loads of power all of a sudden, the car now still runs/idles ok but needs much more throttle to accellerate and is very unresponsive, have checked the plugs and the colour is perfect, still have the same boost showing on my boost gauge, air fuel gauge still shows correct mixture, both throttle butterflies are opening correctly and everything looks fine under the bonnet, i have checked if the crank pulley and it is all tight with no wobbles or running out of line but it feels like the ignition or valve timing has been retarded, could this be the crank pulley that has slipped? any help appreciated cheers Barrie

But then I stick to standard tyre sizes to maintain the proper balance and roll-over bite during hard cornering. K are you saying i can`t drive Kev ? Baz

The golf 2 eibach anti roll bars will fit the pre `plus pack` corrados, i took mine off my golf when i sold it and fitted them to my 91 corrado g60, they are well worth doing but you will lose some wet weather grip. Barrie
