My car whistles the same as it always has over 3500k, sounds cool to me 8) SNS, it`s about taking G60 owners to a higher level of happiness :D

G60`s have the same oil cooler as the golf 8v/16v, the heat exchanger type on top of the oil filter :?

A mate of mine just picked upa complete eibach arb set up at the malvern show this weekend for £100 jammy git ! they were s/hand but in good nick

must get myself one of those, had my oil temp to 128c at the weekend :shock:

They should fit as they are the same as the mk2. The rear bar is dead easy to fit, those jubilee clips clamp around the car and the rear beam, you will see where it has to go once you have got the bolts in at the ends. The ends obviously use the mountings for the rear dampers. The front bar is a pain to do, mainly getting the bolts back in that clamp the inner roll bar bushes, be very carefull not to cross thread them. You need to support the engine and drop the subframe down to get the old bar out and the new one in. have fun :?

that`s a good price with the u-bend as well, I have the u-bend already just need the cooler.

Rob, how much did you pay for the intercooler? I have been offered one for £400 which i thought was tad expensive.

Does anyone know the standard G60 in gear acceleration times, just been out and tested my car and got these figures;- 2nd gear 30-40 1.18 secs, 30-50 2.54 secs 3rd gear 50-60 1.90 secs, 50-70 4.02 secs been hunting on the net and found some figures on an M3 evo 30-50 was 2.1 secs and 50-70 was 3.1 secs

Just fitted my air fuel gauge supplied by Dubcharged. Very interesting to see exactly what the mixture is doing, the meter cycles up and down at idle and very light throttle then you can see it go rich when you floor it :) At £30 a cheap way to keep any eye on your mixture and know that your oxygen sensor is working ok. oh and it looks cool 8) see here

You have to replace your existing 3bar fuel pressure regulator with a 3.5 bar, about £40 from your local bosch dealer. If you fit the 3.5bar to a g60 that is not mapped for it, then it will drink loads of fuel and run like a sick pig :lol:

Having a 3.5 bar fpr will not make the car use more petrol unless you drive it harder, with a chip mapped for a 3.5 bar the injectors are open for less time when cruising than they would be on a std fpr, my car when driving gently still gives 35mpg :)

My car has always felt very revvy even with the std pulley, with the SNS chip in i`m sure it would pull past 6500 if I let it! :shock: There is still plenty of pull left in the old girl at 6500. If the charger goes pop I will sulk for a bit and stick a 20v in there :) May have to put my performance meter in there and check the 0-100 times with the different rev limits

As far as I was aware the whole reason for using a 3.5bar is to lessen the stress on the injectors and maintian a healthy A/F ratio. G60's using 68mm pulleys will cause their injectors to go full duty cycle before 6k rpm on a standard FPR!! My car regularly goes to 6500rpm so fuelling wouldn`t be sufficient with the std fpr.

I thought all the golf VR`s had 2.8 engines?

Did you fit a 3.5bar fpr as well?

You can make your own using an LM3914 bar graph module and a few other components but at £30 for a `proper` one it`s hardly worth the aggro.

Yeah but remember VR6`s aren`t as fast as G60`s :lol: I`ll get me coat :?

But surely by doing that you are stopping the cool air from doing it`s job cooling the brakes?
