Has anyone fitted an external oil cooler to their G60? If so what do you do with the two coolant pipes that would run into the old oil cooler? Also does anyone know what psi the oil pressure is on the G60? thankee Baz

VR6, I got my FK`s from pitstop just before the group buy was arranged :x paid £585. I did get a price from yaash at the time which was around £600 Be carefull if you order poly bushes from rally design as they only do the golf mk2 bushes, these will fit the 16v and g60 but i`m not sure about the VR, apart from that rally design are great, very good prices and excellent service. :)

65mm pulley versus 68mm pulley....................
bazgreener replied to DORSET_V_DUBSTER's topic in Engine Bay
ok  -
I have eibach arb`s on mine with fk`s but if you`re going from std suspension to fk coilovers i would try it first and see how you like it, there will be a major improvement over your old gear. I would replace at least your front wishbone bushes with poly bushes though, and of course the front top mounts. HTH

According to this site you should restrict your max revs to 6k with a 65mm pulley. Even if you can rev to 6400 this is very close to the chargers design tolerances so would be safer to change at 6k. IMHO :) -

You also need to restrict your max rpm to 6k with a 65mm. -
Not a problem Ian, glad you are pleased with the chip, sorry I had to rush off so soon after fitting it. 8)

I have to agree they do look sweet, may be interested in them when you get a price. To be fair mine looks better in the car than it does in the pics I sent, but not as nice as those others :?

Bilal, the wire I tapped into was the pinky purple coloured wire, it`s inside an rf sheilded covering with another wire and goes right past a grommet in the bulkhead, up near the brake master cylinder.

Does the fuel pump run when you switch the ignition on?
-
You don`t need to watch it whilst you`re driving, it saves all the info to check after. A freind of mine has just ordered the AP22 with data logging, so you can upload all the info to your pc and get graphs etc. 8) 8)

Tony, I keep my AC22 performance meter in the console. 8)

I undid the pulley bolt with an air gun before I took the belt off. The tensioner can be held with a large cable tie and then just slide it off the bolt, no special tools required :)

Here are the pics of my a-pillar gauge pod.
-
that`s exactly why I went for a pillar mounted pod, don`t fancy looking at the center consol when nailing it in 2nd
-
The gauge pod I got from speeding is actually quite well finished, it`s in carbon effect and has to be trimmed to match the contours of the pillar but looks ok. I was thinking about spraying it satin black but think i`ll leave it as is. Because of the shape I think it would be difficult to cover it with vinyl unless it was very thin and flexible. I`ll post up the pic when I get home tonight.
-
I didn`t think about the back light, defo want one with it, lucky I havn`t ordered one yet!
-
I`ll take a pic tmrw and post it up for ya 8)

i`ve got the fuldas in a 195-50/15 and think they are a great tyre for the money, they never squeal even when you spin them up, grip like hell but the side walls look a bit rounded and there are no rim protectors on them.
-
try speeding, i got my gauge pod from them and will get a boost gauge soon. speeding

I got my FK konigsports from Pitstop developements well pleased with them.

Just fitting an uprated front ARB will turn your car into an understeering nightmare, don`t do it! If you want some real fun then just fit an uprated rear bar, I fitted an Eibach rear ARB to my Golf and it was really good, not sure if it would be so much fun in the wet though. Best to fit a matched set, I have Eibachs on my C and it is a nice set up.

SNS chip owners, have you advanced the timing much?
bazgreener replied to brookescourt's topic in Engine Bay
You know it makes sense Ian 8) -
You will deffo have to change your chip and possibly your injectors to cope with the extra fuelling requirements of a 65mm pulley.
-
I have an sns chip and am very pleased with it, dubcharged is your man, he runs a 65mm pulley
