  1. where were these been banded? ---------- Post added at 10:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:50 AM ---------- where have* didn't mean to press send on last message, is there any wheel wobble and do you have an idea of rough offsets? interested in part ex on some d90s 16x8 with 30 and 35mm adapters? 195/40s all round
  2. how were the bolts on your mani and downpipe? they literally haven't been touched in it's 18 years of life I was thinking about angle grinding the bolts but didn't want to risk it without a spare part incase something went tits up which was likely as one of the bolts was right on the top by the lambda!
  3. I think I might be able to separate the mani from the down pipe if I can get at it it's just the down pipe to cat that was rusted to hell! is it easy enough to undo the manifold with the intake still on? have you got any tips on how to go about it? I might be selling bud but it's not in the best of condition! minimal rust but a bit battered from running low max
  4. for my 94 VR6 must have adapter plate ready to fit straight to cat! and heatwrap still on and obviously no damage, cracks etc let me know what you've got! max
  5. Hi In installed my jetex catback a few weeks back but at the time I couldn't get the cat off as it was seized to the downpipe and all the bolts are just rust, I'm just wondering if it is possible to removing the mani down pipe and cat at the same time and the replacing with a 6-2-1 manifold straight to the decat pipe? also if anyone has a 6-2-1 for sale id be very interested! Thanks, max
  6. Hi couldn't find a proper DIY for the waterpump on the vr6 but mine has gone and I desperately need it sorting before VW fest this weekend as my bearings gone and its making a right racket! I have the new part and all new fluids, just need a basic guide as to how to get it out, I've read something about having to raise the engine :S Has anyone done this before themselves? any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! ..and if anyone local that has done it wouldn't mind taking an evening off to give a hand that would be even better! I'll give you some brass for the help of course - Based in Halifax
  7. yeah they're M8, the only problem is the final bolt is literally right on the top in the middle as far as I can remember so even then it'd be hard to get a grinder in would it even be possible to shear off the bolts though? they're literally solid rust, can't even see the bolt thread anymore! thanks for the reply max
  8. only problem is I cant get a grinder on the top bolt so my only option would be to chop it?
  9. awesome thanks I'll give it a bash this week when I can get it over the pit again
  10. hi, changed my exhaust today managed to do the catback with no problems but the downpipe to cat flange is just rust as its 18 years old and has never been touched, what I need to know is if it's simply a loose nut and bolt or if the bolts are seam welded onto the downpipe side of the flange just so I know whether to grind off the heads and knock them through or if it will need drilling out and reboring for new bolts thanks, max

  17. as title my pulley has started to go and it's grinding/rattling due to the slack anyone got a good condition pump? thanks
  18. started making more noise and I can see a wobble, fkn waterpump. gutted
  19. Hi as title today I noticed my car making a relatively loud clicking noise coming from the belt, lower pulley area. I have recently done a belt change but from quickly sticking my hands down there in works car park I couldn't feel any play in pulleys but I guess I shouldn't be able to with the rely tight? Any ideas what it could be? seems to be in time with revs and is definitely on the outside of the engine not piston slap etc could it just be a case of a loose pulley bolt? Thanks Max
