max west-yorks replied to max west-yorks's topic in Wanted
Hi guys, Not sure on a price, are they new? is VW badge with it? -
yeah I'm in touch with a guy from jetex and they've told me they sell adapters for the 650mm golf decats to fit a rado at 760mm! so just waiting on a quote
-
I was waiting on his reply! Thanks, its available so have requested some pics Its the 760mm one for the VR i think! Yeah I think I'll be buying the one from the above sale thread since I know its already been on a VR! Thanks, Max

Hi guys, done a quick search and couldn't find the info I'm after. Basically I'm trying to find a decat pipe for my 94 VR but apparently milltek dont stock them anymore (according to MSW) can I use a decat pipe from a different car (perhaps the mk3 VR or a 1.8 rado) or does it have to be corrado VR specific? If someone is selling one that would be even better :thumbleft: Cheers, Max

Hi, After an early 7-slat, bottom clips MUST be 100%, not bothered if the top ones are broken. Don't mind if it has the 16V or VW badge with it but if they are they need to be in good condition otherwise I'll take it without :) Based in Halifax near Leeds if it makes a difference to anyone Thanks, Max

How to wire alpine components (inline crossover)

How to wire alpine components (inline crossover)
max west-yorks replied to max west-yorks's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Thanks for the reply, but I dont have a crossover with my components Ive read there there is an inline crossover built in so nothing but high freqs go to the tweeters, the tweeter comes with spade connections that fit the door speaker and two spades coming off the same line of wire so I guess Im just looking to connect the original loom onto the two spades not attached to the door speaker? that said the pair of spade connections and spades are really close together and the tweeter is on the other end of the length of wire so would it be a case of getting some speaker wire to run from the original connection at the tweeter to meet the new connection near the door speaker? if you cant picture what I mean this is the closest I could find to explain! http://www.schillaci.it/493-545-thickbox/alpine-sxe-1350s.jpg Thanks, Max -
Hi, Recently picked up some alpine SXE-1350S components which have inline crossovers/bassblockers on the tweeter wiring that comes with/attached to them My question is how would I wire this into the standard corrado speaker wiring, from looking at it with the door card off and speakers out there are 2 plugs/connectors in the tweets and 1 to the door speaker, is it connected from tweeter to door speaker? My main question is can I just cut into the wiring above the OEM plugs and attach that to my new door speakers, and how do I work around the 2 plugs in the tweeters? (Before anyone says I've tried searching but most of the info related to speakers and wiring is in the archive which whenever I try to access I get blocked or get a 'page cannot be found' sort of message..) Thanks, Max

I prefer the older grille I think its nicer looking! Besides my current late grille is past its best and you can still buy early ones new from VW
-
Hi guys, What's involved in adapting the early 7 slat grill to replace my current 4 slat grille Car is an M reg (94) VR6 Cheers, Max
-

Early grill 16v inlet manifold plus more
max west-yorks replied to Corradochris16v's topic in Parts for Sale
any photos of the early grill? -
Hi guys, Looking for a new exhaust as mine is finally giving up the ghost after 18 years (yes 18!) of life so it needs to come off. Ideally after a Jetex system (either res or non res is fine), would also consider milltek or powerflow Would be interested in a decat (as long as the lambda sensor is still intact) Show me what you've got :) Based in Leeds/halifax if that makes a difference to anyone!

max west-yorks replied to paxman's topic in Cars for Breaking
If ollie isn't taking the milltek I'd also be interested, pictures pending EDIT: Also could I get some photos of both headlights please? Thanks, Max -
ah right I'd seen someone say they were discon'd and didnt check, thanks for the heads up!

Hi guys, Probably becoming more of a common problem these days... my wiper arms link keeps popping off and has now finally decided to give up all together The part is the little metal piece between the motor arm and the wiper arm with 2 bushes on either end and a slight kink in the middle If anyone has one of these kicking about id be eternally grateful as were expecting rain this week and ideally I'd prefer to see where I'm going! Thanks, Max
-
just some more random ones from instagram #maxrado if you wanna follow me! EDIT: and some others... not much in the way of updates, went to Ultimate dubs this weekend, disappointing number of corrados there, must have been 5 in total and only 2 inside! :(
-
pretty sure its mason tech ally one, bought it from haris when I picked up the rado
-
as above! yeah got the skid plate on to provide a - little - bit of protection but its pretty bloody well acquainted with the floor :| popped the last one he had put on and then had repaired, nice fresh one on atm though
-
yeh bud it's blackberry, first pic I put up was in the rain and i must have moved when I took it = bad quality.. I'd only just finished polishing it when I took them thats why hadnt done any of the plastics though so they're all ugly grey!
-
definitely, all rados should come with smooth bumpers and no plate, 10x better! interior is just all black, nothing overly interesting, I'll pop up a pic next time I properly clean it as its full of sanding dust and an entourage tools for bumper/plate light removal. Yeah splitter is pretty well acquainted with the floor... its just getting out of my street thats the worst part, after than im fine just pottering about (concentrating 200% on avoiding bumps :( ) to be honest, I did enjoy the winter mode a lot more but its worth it for the impact and attention it gets!
