Recommendation for basic bluetooth headunit with easy peasy fitting?
EJ Taylor replied to dr_mat's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
hardest part youll find is having to fit the microphone for the hands free on any bluetooth model. best thing to do it go from rear of stereo to bottom of windscreen pillar, take pillat of, run it up with ex wiring tuck in in the roof lining and have it clipped onto the lining just behind the rear view mirror. Pioneer are ok, bit fancy, flashy colours, user interefaces are way to complicated ans **** ti live with. also they look a bit naf imo. kenwood good brand nice units personally alpine all the way. for what you want, simple and nice looking i would go for an alpine CDE-183BT model is a year or so old now so wont cost you too much overall fantastic all round unit with built in parrot system, an actually integrated parrot system not some re made own system. then has 3 x pre outs if you want to run anything from it and the user interface is soooo user friendly and overall just a lovely unit! DO NOT be tempted by any unbranded stuff, it may look cheap and appealing and the advery said it was good, but its not, its awful and is NEVER relaiable or good. always sh it and wehn something goes wrong, you cant get parts, no1 knows how to fix them, there is no wiring diagram and there is no customer support as the brand does not exist. so year, kenwood or alpine, i would go alpine. -
Next on the parts to fit pile. Big thanks to clumpy for these. Then Got these to accompany the set up. Now waiting on parts from Schimmel Motorsport. [emoji7] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

keep it up bro!!!! Will be worth it when the windows are down the suns out and your cruising along a empty road with no sound track other than the puuuuur of the vr... thats what keeps me going.

I was told to get Bosch as they are OEM or what ever and bla bla bla, used them on a new set up, not sure if co incidence but runs worse than it ever has, previously always used ngk iridium and i will be going back to these end of the month.

can still get them from mad motors, brand new, made by rieger, out of interest, how did you attach yours? it says to srew into the lights, i did stick it with adhesive, but kep coming undone and chipped all the pain on my wings? ALSO, anyone else who has fitted one? how did you do it?
-
at this point i was getting FED UP! and grapping any chemical. Took some paint of the silicone used to hold the structural under side in place, but other than that the combo worked well. DO NOT mix chemical though obviously, only use separately.
-
this is the issue every corrado owner has, truthfully their are lots of methods, all require a **** load of elbow grease, i used paint thinners in the end, and brake cleaner, and then just a shed load of muscle and hard work, stick at it, you'll get there. good luck!

Tuner bolts bro, good for when you have a narrow hole, so to speak :norty:

IM SORRY, your having problems with IE and wondering what it is? you answered your own question there mr.finger, so, do you get thank-you letters from microsoft or something, im assuming you do, being the only person left in the universe to not have uninstalled the software? -
yer as above! also, if VR. Check when the chain was last done, and if the head gasket has been replaced also head skimmed checked etc.
