bro its probably fine, mine has ran like this for years, some old cars just run hotter, A few old boys i know with classic cars (dad included) said they prefer to run hotter, as long as it doesn't go above 110 and the fans are kicking in when they should i wouldn't threat to much. Meanwhile find someone with a computer than can take a digital reading, i got it done on mine and the dash dial reads about 5deg hotter than it actually is anyway. ---------- Post added at 10:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:29 AM ---------- apologies, im assuming you hve already checked the water pump itself. no point in replacing the belt and not the pump for what it costs, the thing is, from the factory VW fit a Water pump with a metal impeller, however, these are not as easy to come by as the normal plastic ones you find, so more than often you willl end up with a corrado such as yours, which may have had the metal one replaced with the plastic one at some point in its life. The problem with this being the blades on the plastic ones just come clean of after a while, and instead of a water pump, you end up with a motor spinning an impeller with no blades on it atal. therefore not circulating any fluid around the engine. When i was in your shoes i thought i tried everything, eventually i removed the water pump and found exactly that. an impeller with no blades. sorced a new one, and problem solved.

What Rams said is a good way to go at it. Run mine about 35-40mm off the floor with all arches rolled, no front liners, and no problems, Alot of mk1-mk2-mk3 golf owners do the same, took them out of my beetle 2. Always best to use them where possible but not life or death imo.

As title, Removed from my VR6, Not sure what make/model was originally designed for, was bodged to fit the rado with some extra jubilee clips, some metal pipe and a bit of silicone hose. Had it on mine for 2 years so clearly works fine. Could do with a clean up, ITEM IS NOT MINT/NEW, Hence its free. Ill get a photo up tonight as there on my laptop. All you need do it pay for postage, ill also get a price for that later. This arrived at the shop saturday. ( Pipercross Viper ) Fitted Saturday Eve... Seriously amazed at the difference running a DECENT Carbon fiber intake with a cold air feed has made, Changed the "ZORST" tone, Engine notes, Overall power delivery. used to die off around 5 and a half k, Now Power keeps on coming right to 6 - onwards, Really impressed with the results. I know its £200 for an induction kit, but I could not recommend it enough. (also helps getting it all at trade price) PLEASE EXCUSE the state of my bay at the moment!!!!! :(
