hello mate excellent video but dont take the wrong way but that car will out run anyone off us here (except the dragster corrado) as he has manged to get high 11 sec's and 12's all day long it also sounds like he missed a gear or something and i know last time he had come to Ace Cafe he had a blown turbo so lets hope he has changed it but well done  -
the fact u guys are coming up with ideas on how to protect ur ECU is worring :? where is u live as i dont want to be in ur areas when the police are following u two
-
Never heard of that alarm but a word of warning with Cliffords as this always comes up If they are not fitted properly they will just drive u mad alot of people have experienced this where anything like UV light to rain to a bus going past Have u looked at Scorpion, Toad, Meta, Cobra etc????
-
ok but dont blame me if anythign goes bang  also depending how powerfuly ur car is be preapered for torque steer :( can catch u out and send u flying where ur not meant to
-
yeah big like in america and seen in the Fast and Furious movie they use trigger guns that sends a shoch to the car frying the ECU meaning it comes to a stop :( so Carbed cars are the only way to go
-
is this Jay's car??? he did mention he had the work done at PSD but i guess that includes u aswell as ur both work together
-
ok double clutching (not recomended before everyone shots me down but i do it all the time lol) anyway ur driving along and u want to get to the power of the engine quicker especially on turbo cars So you floor it press on the clutch pedal so the rpm builds up and turbo starts to boost depress the clutch so that the gear can be engaged and he presto a kick up the arse it just helps the turbo spinnign up quicker so you can come into boost :D the other one more tricky is to (if ur going to over take someone) come up behind them use your left foot to control the brake pedal and use you normal right foot to floor it ull find the boost starts to build up and the min u let got of the brakes u fly forwards like i said this is not recomend to do as it will add extra stress to the clutch, pressure plate, engine, engine mounts, exhuast hangers etc but good damm is it good when u can pull it off
-
no that belongs to a guy from n.london where i live very nice and very quick G60 :D
-
Yeah but thats becuase of lag same thing will happen to u if u go turbo :( now tell him to do the same thing again with u but this time to floor it and then double clutch it (so turbo spins up) and see what happens
-
well u have to rememeber that the G60 engine is already built for boost so doent matter if its chargger or turbo its the same pushed air going in its get more compliacted when u really want to run massive power :D also little things like moving the oil line to the back and extending the oil return and redoing all the boost pipes has to be done but not going to give the biggest headache is it now lol also there is kit forms in america :- http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merch ... Code=VVWTK which with the way things are are the mo its about £1000 so not that bad at all is it
-
well its pritty easy u need to change the bracket above the water pump to a 8v gti and alternator with the tensioner (loads in scrap yards) as for the turbo side if u want cheap u can get a TDi manifold and turbo to bolt on but other wise there are crap loads of good manifold about that will bolt straight on a nice garrett turbo hybrid :D and a down piep and ur on ur way ull also need a rechip and maybe a APEXI controller for extra fuel if ur going to aim for the 300bhp +
-
thats about 7500K per year which is lower than normal if the rest of the car shows it as a low milage car i would say its worth it :) like mention take it out for a good trashing leave gear in 2nd floor it and when u back off if it jumps out gearbox probs also start it from cold, get under the bonnet and touch the engine and open the water cap etc and make sure everythign is cold and once starting check for smoke signals and bad tapeting and i think u know the rest :D
-
basic what Renedage said just make sure its been looked after (i.e serivice with oil water etc) and its all nice and solid and they will go for ever :D i bought mine 4 1/2 yearts ago 1.8 16v with 117K on the clock Ok high milage but they guy had it at AMD every 5000miles or so and it had one of the strongest engines i ever drove and very pleased with it :D
-
its not nessary to have this caster vent which all it is a cut out for the water system (had it explained to me this morning ) its been proven with 16v engine they run fine and even mine does without any probs even those 500bhp 16v turbo in germany
-
i cant really tell u the difference in the end result if u go 1.8 16v or 2L 16v engines but for the 2L 16v you would need to get special pistons to fit in there with lower compression as for you your correct just rebuild the charger and a head/engine (depending what u do) fuel rail maybe bigger injectors inlet (few to choice from) and a chip and ur there again talk to John as he is the best man for advise :D
-
People believe this convertion is very very expensive but its not the pricey bits is getting everythign rebuilt and the charger otherwise ive converted mine to a 16vg60 setup for about £400 including buying a intercooler from forgermotorsport also this is based on that u will do all the fabricating and mounting of parts instead of paying someone else as for whats the best engien toi start off there loads of examples personally i think its a 1.8 16v engine then just add the audi quattro pistons and off u go buit John is a G60 engine with special pistons and a 16v head others i cant remember but i guess they can post up :) and then all u need is a G60 ECU system and wiring and someone to do you a chip :)
-
hello mate u got the part numbers as i cant find them :(
-
mate going to give u a call later on to tell u what i think u should do ;)
