  1. Henny worked out what that strip is for Ur meant to place it onto of the original Iron bar to support/hold the front bunper up close to the bottom of the slam panel line Hard to explain but I can take some pices when I get home to show u what im talking about :D p.s Woody I agree with everything Henny mentions considering Ive had the two types i will never touch and fiber crap again
  2. cool Ive told my mate about this and he saidhe already know about it and not a prob :D p.s his boss owns a classic car rentals and has a few E-types there etc ;) ;)
  3. thanx for all you advise guys but sadly I cant use the G60 spark plug numbers youve given me as i have a 16v engine but the G40's ones will come in handy ;) ;) also i know what alot of youve said about NGK's but ive had the reverse on mine, I went throuth 3 set's of bosch ones within 5 months (about 1500-2000 miles) but the min I changes to NGK ones they last me 5000-6000 miles and I only changed them because I wanted to and not because they where casing me probs I also have HKS iridium tip ones (i think that what its called) at home which i might put back in the car once Ive got it runnign properly :)
  4. anyone else with advise??? especially on the clutch side of things???
  5. Blame away mate, everybody else blames me for their pricey purchases  i dont blame you mate if it makes u feel any better :D
  6. ok whats is the best for the supercharged engines??? Personally i stand by NGK all day long never had any probs, but now ive supercharged the engine I was going to use S2 spark plugs and hopefully this sat there will be a new edtion ;) to the VW collection at my house it would be nice to know :D
  7. can i join this conversation??? count my car as a normal corrado??? :D
  8. thats what i thought but never run a car on big carbs so cant really comment lol also out of interest which ones did u run weber? or dellorto?
  9. really i just thought it is?? what else causes it ??
  10. dont worry the guy so anal  that he prod make a cover for them lol plus he does have the option of leaving the car in a garage :)
  11. Hello guys after a long discussion with my mate about converting his car to a g60 etc he decided to leave it alone but go with a different setup. Luckily someone on this forum has what he needs so he is now going to go 16v twin weber or dellorto setup Basically what we need to know is which would be the best carb's to go for??? We will be dropping the rad down so nice clean air is always getting to the carbs along with running a heat reflecting plate under the carbs so when the fan come on all the hot air goes under/around them Also what clutch would be the best to go for as he will still be using his driver gearbox??? and so you guys get a idea the car only used at weekends and sometimes during the week so he is not very bothered about economy etc he just wants something nippy ;) thanx in advance
  12. ops sorry misread it slightly  thought it was a complete blank off lol yeah seen those before but personally i dont see the point rather add a 2 nd filter with the oil pipe going into that might be wrong
  13. i dont think its a good idea i think all engines need breathers either back into the inlet system or into a catch tank but blocking off will not be good for seals and piston rings just my 2p's worth
  14. lol u say muppets i say good business sense lol (sorry couldnt help myself) also Jim my setup sadly being a 16v with the throttle on the otherside is completely different as you would know Basiclaly im trying to get as much made up in metal and only use minimal hoses needed but because the intercooler can be mounted either top half of the slam panel or bottom its totally upto the user where he wants the pipe work to go :) There is one advantage of the golf/rallye system people over look is that when ur in traffic and the rad fan come on it also sucks the air through the intercooler cooling everything down which is nice ;) but im working on something different so thats not a prob for me lol
  15. not saying it will but did get me off the hook lol i guess its the way u do it lol
  16. i mostly get "a what!?!?!?!" followed by either corola or something else stupid which i follow with a slap lol or "ah so ur the git that drives around like a nut case" lol funny enough me and my mum where talking this weekend that no neighbour has complained about my car recently, oh well thats soon to be changed lol   p.s guys a tip if you remove the rear badge some traffic wardens dont know what the car is so cant state it on the ticket lol my last one was qouted as a "VW Golf? Black" lol lets just say when i showed them the log book and it says "VW corrado RED" kind of helped ;) ;)
  17. i know im going to get shot down here but ive got no idea why some guys spend so much on the golf/rallye setup i got forgemotorsport to make me up a intercooler thich cost me £225 including delivery and fits perfect where i need it and i think it will as good as the golf/rallye setups and its half the height of it ok sadly now ive got the head ache of making up the boost pipe bits but still got another £200-250 to place with before i hit the asking price for these setups. just my 2p's worth
  18. First time ive heard of them :? Also Nick ive found Steve's to be great :D been going there for about 7 years now and never one prob :D
  19. that is correct drive brakes are crap!!!!!!
  20. uh this isnt sounding to good personally i think he should go for 16v on webbers alot easier lol
  21. yeah its a complete G60 lump and wiring but i dont know if its plug and play into the back of his fuse box or not also forgot about the fuel pump :(
  22. Hello guys I know its not corrado but still same family lol Im going to be helping my mate put a g60 lump into his driver after the summer and I was wandering what the main things we need to do I know we will have to change the gear linkage system to cable change. (does the body need modding?? I know we will have to put a pedal box in Will his car need alot of wire cutting to get the engine running?? Does it need the drive shafts etc changed? Or if any one knows of a website with all the info it would be great thank you in advance
  23. ok cool im not going to get into some silly stupid "yes there was" "no there wasnt" I will try and get the info again (means a few more nights searching the net) but hopefully find it and if you do ask a few germans they will confirm that a g80 was built even if you can contact g-lader direct but hey what do i know  p.s darren if size doesnt matter why do we port, open up and run bigger items on engines to produce more power
  24. there was a G80 g-lader as mentioned by Henny and was used on some engines BUT it never was a full production engine there is veryu little info and i did have a bit on it until i lost everything on one of my hard drives  which kind of pied me off What you have to remember VW named the "Engine" or "Car" after the g-lader they used i.e g-40's and g-60's
  25. thats just spot on Adding to the Ebay comment feedback shots up very high and you start to learn german aswell
