aposegil replied to corradlo's topic in Members Gallery
 mate dont worry about it Phat car is Red aswell!!! lol (well thats what it says in the log book  ;) ;) ) as for the car -
its up for sale now http://www.performancevwmag.com/classif ... ed+Kingdom
-
buy the entire engine and sell the head on as for the head differences its the Cams and the inlet size from what i can tell the was three sizes the 2L 16v being the smallest then two in the 1.8 16v heads not alot of difference between them but they do make a difference
-
did see those but not a big fan of shiny bits in the car hence why i want the orignal black trim as mine doesnt havethe Corrado logo but thanx anyway :D
-
Hello guys Do you know if its possible to get teh original corrado side plastic sill trim as found in 92> cars?? if so whats the part numbers??
-
hello mate that loss does seem very low to me ive tend to find mine losses about 40bhp on avg on rolling road days and im getting 150-155 bhp at the wheels dependsing on the days but then im not a VR but something to work with
-
yeah power flow do two types one is a Scorpion end which i have and personally think suits the corrado rear bumper the best the 2nd is their own design
-
Colin it all depends what you want from a engine personally ive gone down the 16vg60 route as i like to have power on tap and not a big fan or lag then massive kick up the arse as i still want to get some sort of luxury in my car. If i wanted 16v turbo i porb put it in a mkI golf to get the best power to weight ratio out of it as thats what turbo's are really for bigger power Also as you have a 1.8 16v engine personally i think thats the best place to start IMO as you alone really have to rebuild it use a metal headgasket and audi Quattro pistons and your ready for any force induction As for the brackets and loom ive done most/nearly all the work myself and its been very easy plug and play (especially ive done it now   ) and not as hard as people have made it out to be but then i guess its down to the person doing it and his ability But John has def been a massive help in advise etc so drop him a line :D (but dont tell i said it ;) ;) )
-
sadly nope, mines going into my bro G40 :D
-
to me its still the same mag lol
-
im not sure if its the right one but a silver mkI golf with g40 engine turned up at my event a few months back supposily it goes to Darrens in Brixton (VW Enterprise) for services etc now
-
hello mate i would say the mocal ones are the best and availabe everywhere I have a 13row one but might be upgrading soon to a longer one so the oil spends more time in there and due to the extra mods but a 13 row is more than enought for any 16v and a must for G60's in my opinion :) as for price the universal kits should be about £70-£80

kev cant remember the company as he showed me the site but they run aengien up frotn and one in the boot :) also Dinkus i know what u mean but you can never knock the original mini they are amazing grest fun cars with alot of history to them and followings i tell u something his mini turns more heads than my corrado even my mates low rider turns more heads than my corrado but i dont care because i know it looks great :D
-
yeah another great mag form them :D was nice to see yet another corrado which is sweet also loved the mkI on air bags :D
-
looks like i need to get myself a test drive some how lol ;) the one thing i waiting to drive is my mate is storngly considering put two bike engines in his mini cant remember the company that does it but when i was reading the spec it made my shit my pants it was that quick :D ;) now lets hope he goes for it lol
-
kev u recon with the dax??? i did love and enjoyed the super 7 if anyone gets a chance to drive one they where built to go side ways round corners :D well until my instructior got a bit feed up of me and started to cover my eyes down the striaght so i couldnt prepare the car for some sliding action ;) ;) i still think the radical is the best track racing car still road legal :D
-
i cant stand them if i had the choice of a elise, super 7 the elise would lose without any questions and ive driven the exige aswell and they where better but not alot i can understand why people like them etc but its just not me ive even made a mate of mine sell his due to the fact he was a bit nippier than me but that was it and i was driving round in alot more comfort than he could ever hope for out of those now if you get a chance to drive a radical thats a completely different story     its what the elise could never be but tried to be lol
-
sorry but i hate elise with a passion cant stand them rather have a super 7 or a clio cup alot better car and much more fun but then they suit my kind of driving alot better :D p.s good u had a good day thou lol you shoudl try a palmer sports day ;) ;)

ok that sensor is easy to take off and on basically get ur old leads and pull the actual lead out of the main part that goes into the engine dont worry it just clips on and off then do the same with ur new leads and put the sensor into that simple took me 5 mins with my mates ones
-
got to agree with David most prob the cam cover rubbers but if it is the headgasket thats gone ive just dont it in my mates corrado and he is a break down of cost 1.8 16v head with cams etc £30 gasket kit including headgasket £10 off ebay (about £40 of Eurocar parts and GSF) Skimming, valve guides, and valve work £150 from a local shop and end result a lovely purring 16v engine producing about 160bhp and nice and quick
-
mate have a talk to BiggerBen on the forum as he lives up Norwich way and just had his car resprayed as for all the rubbers talk to GPC they just saved me crap loads of money when i order mine as for engine mods the chip and pullet is easy but i really really would look into getting a better intercooler but thats just my 2p's worth
-
mate doesnt matter on the engine all 16v run hot ive never known one to run cool ok first of all a oil coole ris a must will drop temps about 20-30% after that a bigger rad if you want like i was running on my car which was a VR rad 2L 16v aircon water hoses and a passat twin fans which funnily enough i have on ebay at the mo on motorway water temps would be able 70-75 and oil about 80-85 thrashing the hell out of it is about for water 90 and oil about 100 and thats really rerally trying
