  1. Thanks for the comments, I've been hard at work this week doing the interior. I'm hoping to finish it off next week. I'll get some more pics posted this evening...
  2. Well done you have guessed correctly! I have almost finished the dash section, will need trimming though... Might aswell show you guys a pic of my efforts seeing as it will be on the road soon. These pics were taken a week or so ago and lots has changed since.... 8) The top section has been made from scratch btw..
  3. ~Those rims look so good! I'm glad I have a set :D
  4. nope..nope..nope... will have soom more pics maybe this evening / tomorrow if I can crack on with it and stop looking on the Internet..!
  5. Your main problem is finding a syncro VR6 gearbox housing, rare as rocking horse sh*t! Everything else is 'easy'. Everything else pretty much bolts up...
  6. Thought I'd tease you with a couple of pics of my new dashboard. First pic (dash_1) shows how I cut the original corrado dash in half and the very first steps tackled to allow for the transformation to take place. I did this to keep the original mounting points and to make the final item as neat as possible. The second pic (dash_2) shows an almost complete 'top' half of the dash. I'll keep everyone guessing for the rest of it..... hope to have it finished off soon...
  7. I'm after a really stretched look for some 15x8" wheels, what sizes do people recommend and if you have pics could you post them too so I can see what they look like..? Also what make of tyre is best up to the job? its really just for show purposes not peformance or cornering etc I was thinking maybe 195x45x15...? or can you go more than this...?
  8. mate, feel really sorry for you! hope you can get it back on the road soon(ish)....
  9. Thats why I have gone 4-wheel drive!
  10. Not this one I'm afraid, but I do have a few ideas for it.....
  11. Picked up this little puppy last weekend from Alex P-G. Very happy indeed! It is an original 1.6 Mk1 Golf Gti, its got a rebuilt engine (might be a 1.8, not sure), the body work is in pretty good condition just a little surface rust here and there, new front springs, brakes, bushes, good tyres, 12 months MOT and 3 warning dials. I'm very happy and its going to be used as a daily driver until the corrado is on the road, then I might turn it into a bit of a project car for next years show season.... not sure yet. But all in all its a fine example and she pulls very well indeed! Well chuffed, cheers Alex...
  12. They are BBS RS splits, and they might be for sale... (just helping you out Neil)
  13. So was it worth it and what other bits did you need... A mate of mine works for Merc and we discussed it a while ago, He said he could get one for around a ton its not that bad to fit one, but I had to move my rad back about 25mm or so and cut a little bit out of one of the chassis legs... will gets some pics..
  14. very very tight fit!! Been there and got the t-shirt and I payed £145 inc VAT brand new from Merc....
  15. hummmmm.. would be nice but it dosen't sort my camber problem
  16. Paul Downing was telling me about you beffed up corrado this evening, sounded awesome! Love the new motor though! How much can you pic RS4's up these days, I'm tempted....
  17. This is true, but I wanted a change from the norm and seeing as the rest of the bodywork is pretty much standard, I wanted to give other drivers a hint of what was lurking under the bonnet.....
