quick update, got the upper and lower pods made this weekend, pics are shite as I took them with my phone but you get the idea... more to follow in the week hopefully...

My coilpacks are ok! tested them today... thank god, my problem must have just been my crap wiring up of them....

I hope your right as I was told there near £40 inc VAT????

Cheers for the info guys, do you know how much a coilpack is or a set of 4, need to test them first but pretty sure 2 of them are dead!

Anyone had a problem with these? I think x2 of mine have given up the goat! Engine was only running on 2 cyl for all this time!!!! I've heard you can replace them with Ford version with a couple of mods which are more realible, anyone know anything on this? Any help would be great... :(

thats not completly true, you can get mk2's with cable change aswell and asfar as I'm aware they are the same mech as the corrado... :D

even my quotes for the beast are lower than that... 22 years old, 3 yrs NCB, 3 points, no limited mil, agree value of £**,***, and all mods declared (i have a few...) saying it runs 300bhp (but it will be more like 360-390bhp) - £1600 fully comp... that was a Brentacre quote done in April I think. Still alot of cash but it will be fast...try insuring a ferrari for £1600 :!:

you are looking at about £4-5k I should think to get the cnversion done for you all in inc engine! Or do it yourself, buy an 20vt engine get a big turbo, manifold, stand alone management, large intercooler + 4wd and have change left over from £5k !! 8)

hummm, I'll list off a few problem area.... Need to make a bracket from transfer box to engine block, need to weld prop shaft brackets in the right place - important, brake bias valve prob needed as 4wd one is crap, need mk1 golf Gti suspension at the rear as corrado one is too long, if your replacing the bearings on the rear then watch out as there are a few different srts, and therefore different sizes, CV's are golf gti 100mm ones, make sure you have all the standard mounts before you start, they take months to order from Germany if you need them!, All in all it all fits up ok, if I can remember anymore I'll let you know, good luck! Nice Jay they look good, I had a good day today as well, I put the 440cc injectors in, loaded the new map I picked up this week and wooooshhh it all went Pete Tong! The oil level rose by 20mm and that was because the sump was filling up with petrol !!!!!!!!! arhhhhhhh :(

I have a sneaky suspicion that he has gone 4wd... can people notice the camber on the rear wheels in the pic’s posted by Mr G-man? Because I have been and got the T-shirt on the conversion it seems to me that his corrado is now a 4wd 16vG60, awesome. What are those wheels, and are they 18’s possibly? Look at a pic of mine so you can see the camber…

My powerflow exhaust is not like that! They did a good job on mine I have to say.. lots of connection points etc, good welding and pipe bending...

No one knows that, not even me at the moment.... not man enough to count the receipts up :roll: However I had a letter from the student loan company today asking when I'm going to start paying some of the money back, shall I reply and see if they will take an incomplete corrado 4x4 instead :?: :cry: P.S. Hi all, I've been designing a new website to replace the old dubland.co.uk, its bigger, it has much more bandwidth so you lot can download all day long and its coming sooooon. Full project report on project 4x4 in much more detail than before, loads of pictures, awesome movie clips and more! No forum as I think you'll agree this one is just fine! Right update, I've got it to connect now, put 98 onto an old computer i had and booted it up in DOS, works fine now and connects no probs, HOWEVER my new map won't load up now.... typical !!!!!! this map works on a mates Haltech ECU where I got it from, 340bhp @ 1.2bar so why dosen't it work on mine!!!! I've decided that I offically hate computers.... Good idea supercharged.....didn't think of that...
